The Greece Antagonist-Chapter 911 - 56: The Pawn Takes Charge, While the Ace Plays Support!
Chapter 911 -56: The Pawn Takes Charge, While the Ace Plays Support!
Pushing forward through twists and turns, swarms of green-skinned orcs surged from all directions. Xili waved her silver longsword, growing more valiant as the battle raged on.
A silvery-gray light enveloped her entire body, making her as agile as a swallow darting through the onslaught of hundreds of green-skinned orcs, retaliating with her exquisite swordsmanship.
As an experienced old wizard, Gandalf instantly recognized the source of her power and looked in astonishment at the silvery-gray glow swirling around Xili:
“Space-time magic?”
“Exactly.”
Luo En nodded with a smile, contentedly admiring his masterpiece.
Xili’s veins coursed with the exceedingly rare Ancient Blood, a bloodline descending from the Destiny Divine Power, capable of manipulating [Time-Space].
There are fundamentally two ways to interfere with time-space.
One is to use oneself as the foundation, rewriting the surrounding environment’s time-space. Although powerful, this method requires a vast amount of Magic Power and a fairly complex process.
Furthermore, such miraculous feats are not ordinary magic but are Authority that only Deities can wield. With Xili’s current abilities and physical condition, she simply cannot withstand the backlash from large-scale space-time distortions.
Forcing it would only cost her life.
Thus, Luo En chose the second approach, helping Xili develop and utilize her innate gift.
That is, to see oneself as a whole, becoming out of sync with the surrounding environment, and by burning the Time-Space Blood within, to slightly alter one’s own time flow rate.
In conceptual terms, it is most natural to separate one’s innate body from the World. The interference from the World is minimal. Adjusting just a few seconds of time within the small world of the human body, to achieve effects such as accelerating blood flow and significantly increasing reflexes, isn’t very difficult to perform.
Through his mentoring, Xili could now accelerate her time up to eight times faster.
On the battlefield, a few seconds could decide victory or defeat, and a hair’s breadth could determine life or death. With Xili’s mastery over this subtle alteration of time, coupled with the indomitable Elf silver sword, dealing with these green-skinned orcs was as effortless as slicing through melons and vegetables.
If she continues to grow, Xili’s future is limitless, and perhaps she might indeed become the savior spoken of by the elves.
However, this is, after all, magic related to [Time-Space]. Maintaining it for an extended period would place a significant burden on the body, causing premature aging, somewhat akin to fighting at the expense of lifespan. The still young Xili inevitably found this a bit overwhelming.
Gandalf, considering himself a senior, naturally could not stand idly by. He adeptly picked up his magic wand and sword to help out.
Celebrian and Rose were responsible for mopping up any stragglers on the flanks, while Belldandy provided essential healing and protection with Said Witchcraft.
As for Luo En, he held onto the map to guide the way, while contentedly slacking off at the rear of the group.
After all, apart from the two energetic girls Celebrian and Xili, everyone else in the team showed more or less signs of loafing.
Everyone had their reasons for holding back their full capabilities, partly to temper the two young girls and partly to conceal their own prowess.
People have secrets, and Luo En wasn’t one to pry too deeply; he simply followed the pace set by Xili and Celebrian, moving forward.
Thus, a peculiar scene unfolded in the cave:

The two naive young girls Celebrian and Xili at the front fought with vigor, the wily old Gandalf and Rose casually played their parts at the sides, while the aces Luo En and Belldandy loafed comfortably at the back.
However, though the team’s pace wasn’t swift, they were steady.
With the five of them working closely together, the group made steady progress according to the plan, moving towards the depths of the Lonely Mountain and the Giant Dragon’s nest.
Finally, after an unknown number of tunnels, the gloomy and narrow view suddenly opened up.
This was a colossal Lava Cave, filled with a strong scent of sulfur.
From a high vantage point, one could see countless glimmers of gold in the depths of the cave, like dazzling stars.
Gold! So much of it!
Looking at the mountain-like piles of golden sand, Gold Coins, Gold Blocks, and various exquisite gold vessels, Xili’s breath quickened involuntarily.
Although she was a Princess from the Sintra Kingdom, born into wealth, she had never seen gold on such a grand scale laid out before her.
“Whoosh!”
Vast amounts of gold cascaded down like a tidal wave, and a chilling wind erupted through the narrow passage, with sand and pebbles clattering down.
Out of the swirling dust, a massive shadow emerged from the center of the mound of gold, a head covered in sharp reptilian scales, huge and terrifying, dominating most of the cave’s dome, its vertical pupils ferociously looking down at six unwelcome intruders daring to enter its treasury:
“Damnable thieves!”
Along with a thundering roar, the monster swung down its claw, sharp as a Long Spear, with a colossal force.
Xili instantly activated her space-time magic, narrowly evading the powerful strike, and looked up with excitement at the behemoth nesting in the cave.
A speaking dragon?
From its gold-black scales and general appearance, she guessed that this was the “Golden Smaug” mentioned by the Dwarves—
—an Upper Giant Dragon with a True Name!
Realizing her goal was close at hand, Xili couldn’t contain her excitement. Holding her sword, she charged forth, determined to obtain the Dragon Blood for her mentor Yenifa and lift the Curse as soon as possible.
Seeing a minuscule creature like an ant, not fleeing upon seeing it, but instead launching an attack, the Giant Dragon was livid. Both gold-black wings spread out fiercely, flapping and stirring up a fierce wind in the narrow tunnel.
