The Happy Farmer Wanderer-Chapter 54 Unfortunate Timing_1
Li Qing finished washing the dishes, tidied up everything in the kitchen, and when he came out to the yard, he saw Han Mei sitting on a small stool, enjoying the cool air. She was lifting her short sleeves repeatedly to fan herself, her full and proud chest occasionally peeking out with her movements.
Li Qing’s heart stirred, and he picked up a palm-leaf fan that was resting on the stone steps, walking over to her, "Sister-in-law, let me fan you."
"It’s fine, it’s not that hot in the shade." Han Mei said, "You go back and take a nap. We still have work to do this afternoon."
"It’s still early, I’ll sit for a little while longer." Li Qing said with a smile.
While fanning Han Mei, Li Qing’s other hand began to mischievously lift her short sleeve.
Han Mei’s charming gaze swept over him, and she lightly slapped his hand, saying, "I see you’re not just fanning me, you’re trying to take advantage, aren’t you?"
"A bit of both, both indeed." Li Qing chuckled, his hand boldly reaching further in.
The firm softness was sweaty and somewhat damp.
The quiet solitude of the afternoon made Li Qing’s body react subtly.
He moved closer, leaning against Han Mei’s back, and said with emotion, "Sister-in-law, could you help me out?"
"You sure don’t tire easily, we’ve still got work this afternoon." Han Mei’s pretty face flushed instantly, "If I do it now, I won’t be able to take it either, how about next time? If you really can’t wait, go see Tian Yue’e tonight, go practice with that wanton woman."
"Once you’re better trained and can take it, sister-in-law won’t use her hands, but down there to help you..."
Li Qing’s breathing suddenly quickened, "But, sister-in-law, I’m already... finding it hard to hold back."
"Hold on a little longer, it’s not good to use hands too much." Han Mei stood up and gently pecked Li Qing’s cheek with her hand.
Seeing that, Li Qing reluctantly gave up, "Sister-in-law, can I rest here then?"
"There’s been a lot of gossip in the village lately, and since it’s not far, just walk home and take a nap," Han Mei said softly, "You’ve worn me out recently, my body has become somewhat frail. I feel uncomfortable with every move, wait until you can take it, sister-in-law will do it for you."
Li Qing, heart surging, said, "Alright, sister-in-law, you said it, don’t back out on your word."
Han Mei smiled shallowly and bewitchingly, like a lotus in the water, "Why would I lie to you?"
With joy in his heart, Li Qing was about to leave when he suddenly remembered what Guan Lin said the day before, so he mentioned, "Oh sister-in-law, Teacher Guan recommended a job to me, working at their school’s logistics department, for over three thousand yuan a month."
"Which Teacher Guan?" asked Han Mei in surprise.
"Yue Qin’s homeroom teacher. I ran into her when I went to give Tian Yue’e the money yesterday," Li Qing said.
"Over three thousand yuan, that’s not a small salary," Han Mei exclaimed happily, "Did you accept it?"
"Not yet, I thought I’d discuss it with you first," Li Qing replied honestly.
Han Mei knocked on Li Qing’s forehead, "Are you silly? How could you not accept such a good offer?"
"She told me to think it over, and from what she said it might be a while yet. Since you have no objections, I’ll find a time to talk to her," Li Qing said with a smile.
"Of course, I have no objections, that’s wonderful news. Why would I object?" Han Mei said flirtatiously, giving Li Qing a sidelong glance, "Speak to her soon, so you can clinch the deal before you want to go and they don’t need you anymore."
"Alright. Sister-in-law, I’ll be on my way then."
With that, Li Qing went back home.
He took an afternoon nap, and once the sun wasn’t so scorching anymore, he went back to the fields with Han Mei.
There wasn’t much wheat left, just one or two more days of harvesting and they would be done.
That afternoon, Wu Xingxing didn’t come.
This left Li Qing both slightly disappointed and profoundly relieved.
It was a contradictory feeling.
He was disappointed because he wouldn’t see Wu Xingxing in her splash of pink today, perhaps even flesh-colored.
But he was relieved because he no longer had to worry about her causing trouble in front of his sister-in-law.
That evening, after getting a little advantage at Han Mei’s, Li Qing was sent back home.
Until he was better trained, Han Mei was now even reluctant to use her hands for him.
This caused Li Qing considerable regret.
However, Li Qing could understand Han Mei’s feelings.
After a whole day of work, she was already very tired, but she could have helped Li Qing find comfort with her hands and mouth.
Yet she could only suffer dryly by herself.
Returning home, Li Qing lay on the bamboo chair in the courtyard, enjoying the cool breeze and looking at the stars, pondering how to quickly shed his virgin status, adapt properly, and then fully enjoy his sister-in-law’s fragrance.
Yu Lan was somewhat interesting, but clearly, it wasn’t yet time for that step.
Tian Yue’e was definitely within reach whenever he wanted, but the tear hadn’t healed even now.
After some thought, it seemed only Yang Xuelan was left.
But he never found the right opportunity with this woman.
The two had been sneakily planning for days to have a go at it, but they had yet to succeed.
At this thought, Li Qing suddenly became restless, clawing at his own heart.
Should he go and see what Yang Xuelan was up to?
No sooner had the thought occurred than he got up and left the house, walking barely twenty steps to enter Yang Xuelan’s home.
The living room was brightly lit, with the sound of the television audible.
Li Qing entered and glanced around, seeing Yang Xuelan sitting cross-legged on the sofa, embroidering something while watching TV.
She was wearing a loose, oversized nightgown, which looked slightly transparent. The dark red bra under it was vaguely visible.
As well as that seemingly bottomless cleavage.
"Is Gao Li not at home?" Li Qing sat down directly beside Yang Xuelan.
Seeing Li Qing enter, Yang Xuelan was a bit surprised and a bit frightened.
She glanced nervously towards the door and whispered, "You’ve got some nerve now, daring to sit so close to me in my house. Aren’t you afraid Gao Li is at home?"
"It looks to me... like he isn’t at home," Li Qing said.
Yang Xuelan chuckled softly, her tone becoming gentler, "He went to the cripple’s place to buy cigarettes. Sit a little farther away, he could come in at any moment, and it wouldn’t be good if he saw."
"Why haven’t you come to my house these past few days? I’ve been waiting for you almost to the point of illness!" Li Qing eyed the bottomless cleavage of Yang Xuelan, saying with a gloomy face.
Yang Xuelan spoke with a tone of grievance, "The last time I went, you were sleeping like a pig and didn’t even open the door. These next few days won’t work, my ’aunt’ is visiting. Wait a while."
Li Qing immediately looked as dejected as a frostbitten eggplant.
What a mess this was.
"When did you come? I wasn’t aware," Li Qing asked deliberately.
"Just a couple of days ago. The main door was not locked, but your bedroom door was dead bolted," Yang Xuelan said with a droop in her voice, "Just endure it a little longer. Once my ’aunt’ leaves, I’ll find an opportunity to come over."
"I must have been sleeping too soundly. I don’t dare to keep my bedroom door open all night," Li Qing said.
"I know. I’ll try to find an opportunity as soon as possible," Yang Xuelan replied softly.
"Fine then," Li Qing said gloomily, "I’ll go back first."
Yang Xuelan laughed flirtatiously, "Hurry back. My husband could be back any minute; it wouldn’t be good to be caught."
Li Qing left Yang Xuelan’s house dejectedly and was just about to enter his own home when a thought suddenly struck him.
Gao Li is out buying cigarettes from the cripple at this late hour?
He’s probably gone to buy that fat crevice from the cripple’s wife instead, right? 𝚏𝐫𝚎𝗲𝕨𝐞𝐛𝕟𝚘𝐯𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝗺
Considering this, Li Qing’s mind filled with malevolent thoughts; he had to see this scene for himself.
The small shop near the entrance of the village was pitch-black, without a glimmer of light—appearing uninhabited.
But on his way there, Li Qing hadn’t run into Gao Li.
He was almost certain Gao Li was still here.
Li Qing tiptoed around to the back and sure enough, he heard Gao Li and Caili whispering together.
