The Happy Farmer Wanderer-Chapter 880: Giving You a Chance
Rushing about, the issue at Burning Man Valley eventually got resolved relatively smoothly.
With the matter settled, Li Qing felt a great sense of relief. The relatively good news was that the situation hadn’t led to any severe consequences, and the only ones who had tried to test the law with their bodies were Brother Hu and his few men.
As long as those guys were safe, letting them suffer a bit and learn a lesson seemed like a good thing in Li Qing’s eyes.
After sorting out the restricted area, Li Qing headed straight to the village committee to find Qin Wenjun.
Ever since she received Li Qing’s investment of five million, she seemed to have turned into a workaholic, constantly either glued to the computer or on her phone communicating with a variety of people.
Although there were no clear signs of profit yet, her demeanor already carried the air of a millionaire CEO.
Seeing Li Qing enter, Qin Wenjun grabbed him and asked eagerly, "Qingzi, did something happen at Burning Man Valley? I just went over there to inquire, and they actually told me it’s confidential, saying that the area is now off-limits. What’s up with that?"
"You could’ve just asked me directly instead of inquiring around," Li Qing said with a smile, "That place is indeed a restricted area now."
"Now that you’re stepping into cultivation, there are things you should know. Burning Man Valley is a restricted area, but it’s truly merited. One is the kind of restricted area you saw today, and the other is in the terms of the Cultivation World."
Qin Wenjun interjected, "It’s not that; I understand what you’re saying. What I mean is, can we no longer use that place now? Did something else happen today?" Qin Wenjun said, "We can talk about the Cultivation World stuff later when we lie down for the night, but I need to know right now, can we still use that place?
"I need to discuss this matter with the factory and those businesses we’ve already struck deals with. If that place can’t be used anymore, I’ll owe tens of thousands in breach of contract fees in a blink of an eye—I can’t bear it..."
Li Qing laughed, no wonder she was so anxious and flustered.
"The area that’s already been planned out can still be used; I’m the one who marked that restricted area. But beyond that specific zone, absolutely no one is allowed to step foot," Li Qing explained, "Burning Man Valley now has its own rules, and nobody knows what might lead to a taboo being broken, resulting in becoming like Brother Hu and the others."
"As long as it can still be used, that’s good." Qin Wenjun suddenly sprang up and gave Li Qing a fierce, intense kiss, then rubbed her plump, rounded cheeks vigorously against his chest.
Watching her, it seemed she hadn’t heard the latter half of Li Qing’s words at all.
What exactly Burning Man Valley had turned into was clearly beyond Qin Wenjun’s current concerns.
Right now, the only thing she truly cared about was ensuring her business venture didn’t collapse before it even got off the ground.
Seeing her like this, Li Qing couldn’t help but smile and say, "Since you’re so concerned, I have to tell you some good news."
"What good news?" Qin Wenjun asked coyly, hugging Li Qing tightly and looking up at him with a playful whine.
"From now on, at that place, not only will you be able to see the crimson valleys resembling blood red danxia formations, but you’ll also witness unique weather phenomena exclusive to Burning Man Valley," Li Qing said, "Imagine elsewhere being a sunny day, while there it might be continuous drizzle or shrouded in heavy fog."
"Really?!" Qin Wenjun suddenly widened her eyes, shouting with immense excitement, "Then we’ve got to seriously discuss the room rates. A hundred yuan a night definitely won’t cut it. With its unique scenery, experiencing those mysterious stories up close, and being inside a restricted area, charging over two hundred a night for a room shouldn’t be considered too much, right?"
Li Qing nodded, "This is the uniqueness of the forbidden area; there are distinctive features there that you can’t find anywhere else."
"Qingzi, this is amazing. With so many unique conditions, plus the outdoor haunted house at the Wild Mouse Observation, our village will be known for its two attractions; we can then start working on relevant industries," Qin Wenjun exclaimed with immense excitement, already envisioning a bright future.
"But..." Li Qing’s voice trailed off, slowly leading to a twist.
"But what?" Qin Wenjun asked curiously.
Li Qing smiled, "To construct a Formation in that small area and ensure that people living inside are not affected by the forbidden area, I spent three million. So, you have to figure out a way to earn back this three million, okay?"
Seeing Qin Wenjun looking almost possessed, Li Qing decided to play a small joke on her to perk her up.
"How... how much did you say?!" Qin Wenjun’s expression turned to one of disbelief, her pupils noticeably dilating.
Li Qing held up three fingers and nodded with a smile.
"Are you stupid? You... you you you—although I indeed had such a plan, if that place can’t be used anymore, we could find somewhere else, right? Why did you have to spend so much money on that spot?" Qin Wenjun shouted somewhat agitatedly.
"Three million, you... saying you spent so much money, what’s the point of me doing this now? Three million, how long will it take me to earn that much? My... oh my, you might as well kill me?"
Li Qing said with a mischievous smile, "That’s actually what I had in mind."
"What?" Qin Wenjun asked in confusion.
"Killing you..." Li Qing said with a sly grin.
Zi Ling, who was sitting nearby playing with her phone, heard this and glanced up with a somewhat aggrieved look, "Shouldn’t you consider there’s a living person sitting right here when you talk about these things!"
"We’ll do you both together," Li Qing said with a somewhat willful smile, "Anyway, it seems to me that both of you could use some nourishment."
Zi Ling blushed slightly and spit out softly, muttering, "You go ahead and take care of Wenjun, give her a good nourishment; I don’t need it." 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖
"Zi Ling, I think what you should be focusing on is... three million!" Qin Wenjun wailed in a near-breakdown.
"Being played with by him or whatever, it seems we have reached that point, right? Even if we try more varieties, how much more can we spend? Unless I’m naked and on standby all day long."
"Sister Wenjun, don’t listen to his nonsense," Zi Ling shot Li Qing a sidelong glance and said irritably, "That Array Plate was made by my master, and it didn’t cost anything. And since it’s an Array Plate, if that place isn’t needed anymore, we can just dismantle it."
"Another benefit is that having one or two rooms set aside for us in that place, practicing cultivation there, would be much faster than outside. This is also something beneficial for us; this bad guy is just teasing you on purpose."
Li Qing clarified, "Although your master didn’t ask for money, that thing is really worth three million, and that’s a friendly price. So, I now owe your master a favor worth three million, which I think shouldn’t be taken lightly as if it were nothing."
