The Heavenly Dao System-Chapter 62: How Could You Be Sensible!
With Qing Lan being uncomfortable with the situation, Ye Ming effectively ordered the Heavenly Dao to freeze the people in the current scene.
He couldn’t physically appear there at the moment, given he had yet to receive permission from his Mother.
’Hmm, freezing them wouldn’t do much.’ He thought to himself.
Although he could unfreeze the blue robes people who hailed from the Tianwu side, he couldn’t guarantee they wouldn’t target the frozen red robes.
Moreover, he was quite displeased with the blue robes people.
The arrogant cultivator hailed from their side, so he was quite reluctant to rescue them.
Had they listened and simply offered up the arrogant cultivator, then none of this would have happened.
Standing by his side, Qing Lan could somewhat understand why Ye Ming was hesitating to proceed further.
"Young Master, you can simply shift the frozen blue robes to another area." Qing Lan suggested.
"Oh, that could work?"
"Yes, if you permit, I can shift their position."
It was at this moment that Ye Ming forgot about his ridiculous overpowered maid. She was still a bona fide cultivator in the realm of the Celestial World.
Something like shifting one person’s position—especially at the low level like people was a snap of the finger to her.
"Okay, just shift them slightly away." Ye Ming calmly said. He had no interest in saving them completely and that they should try to flee with their own ability.
Nodding in agreement, Qing Lan eyed the projector screen and easily controlled the people’s position.
In the meantime, Ye Ming could sense that the Heavenly Dao was trembling in fear at the sudden unknown power creeping in.
Using his mental transmission, Ye Ming transmitted his message to the Heavenly Dao that everything was well.
Since he personally vouched for it, the Heavenly Dao finally stopped trembling and relaxed. It might be intangible, but it could totally sense emotions such as fear.
Shortly after their position was changed, Ye Ming told the Heavenly Dao to unfreeze.
Fushang Forest
"You’ll suffer once our reinforcement arrives!" One of the men dressed in blue robes shouted. They were close to their territory, so it wouldn’t be long till the reinforcement they requested would come.
However, upon a closer look, the person became dumbfounded by the situation.
"Eh, where did those from Heaven Pardon people go?" They raised the question.
"Did our Master save us, Senior Lushen?" A woman turned to her and asked.
Lushen was the eldest among them and was their Senior Sister, to be precise.
Meanwhile, Lushen was equally baffled by the situation. She was certain that they were still in the forest, but the distance was way off.
Nevertheless, she activated her spiritual perception and could sense the red robes were still around. Their distance might have widened, but she could tell if they remained idle, they would still be caught up by them.
"Forget it. We’ll need to keep running." Although Lushen was confused by the situation, the main priority was to escape to their territory. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝕨𝕖𝗯𝚗𝚘𝕧𝕖𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝕞
The Fushang Forest might still be their territory, but only when they leave the forest and arrive at the city could they truly be safe.
Nodding, Lushen’s junior sister, Songsong agreed that they should keep escaping.
The other blue robe’s disciples adhered to Lushen’s command and began fleeing.
While they somehow managed to escape, the red robes people on the other side were stupefied.
"What the hell?" The man in red robes exclaimed in disbelief.
"Senior Hu, how did they escape?"
Peng Hu was their senior brother. He was also just about to use a soul search to advance their investigation to capture the arrogant cultivator.
Yet just when Peng Hu was about to do it, their enemies somehow escaped.
Peng Hu remained silent and used his spiritual perception. He quickly detected where they had gone, but hesitation flashed across his eyes.
His hands started moving and making some symbols. It looked weird, but his fellow juniors knew he was checking for any residual spiritual qi.
A few seconds later, Peng Hu furrowed his brows and frowned deeply.
’No other spiritual qi aside from them.’ He was starting to get nervous. The mysteriousness was too much and he was afraid of the possibility that a powerful being had intervened.
If that was the case, then wouldn’t continue pursuing the blue robes incur their wrath?
The mere fact that they were safe and sound meant that the powerful beings didn’t intend to harm them, only wanting to allow the blue robes to escape.
"What should we do now, Senior Hu? Shall we give chase?" One of Hu’s juniors raised the question and asked.
The other juniors also waited patiently for his judgment. They all trusted Peng Hu’s judgment. Otherwise, they would have already started chasing their targets instead of waiting.
A while later, Peng Hu exhaled deeply and ultimately shook his head.
"Forget it, we’ll return and report this incident to Master. The risk is too much and I can’t risk advancing forward." Peng Hu said solemnly. There was frustration in his eyes, but he still suppressed his emotion and preferred the safety of his juniors.
What he feared was not the retaliation or the reinforcement from the blue robes. Instead, he was afraid of the unknown and whether they were still being surveillance or not.
"We adhere to Senior Hu’s judgment." The other juniors cupped their fists and respected his decision. Not a single one of them objected to it.
"Let’s return and treat Junior Aang’s injuries." Peng Hu then said. "I sense a bad premonition, so we should make haste."
With that said, Peng Hu turned around and began dashing away. The rest of his juniors also followed closely behind.
...
Back at the Eternal Celestial Dimension, Ye Ming watched the scene with a dumbfounded expression.
"Am I really in the cultivation world or a fake?" He raised the question.
Qing Lan didn’t bother to respond, given she understood it was a rhetorical question and that Ye Ming was just talking to himself.
"This Peng Hu person. How could he behave so rationally and even sense a bad premonition?" Ye Ming placed his hands behind his head, clearly filled with disbelief.
This was totally not the reaction he anticipated in his mind!
Where was the arrogance?
Where was the anger?
How could you be sensible!
