The Heavenly Dao System-Chapter 65: Fascinating Adjectives
Ye Ming was rather speechless by the reaction of HD.
After all, Gong Shu didn’t deduce his fate or karma whatsoever.
They only managed to calculate that there was a glimmer of hope within a certain location. But HD obviously knew who that was and reacted intensely.
Although he appreciated HD’s concern, he also found it a bit overboard.
"Alright, there’s no need to prolong the backlash. Consider that as a lesson to Gong Shu." Ye Ming calmly said.
"If I’m going to head to the lower world, then doing so is just going to announce to them that I’m going." He continued, imparting some enlightenment to HD.
Tian Suyin’s suffering from the backlash of the Heavenly Dao was understandable. But if Gong Shu also suffered heavily because he tried to deduce a possible savior, then wasn’t that equivalent to declaring that they were more or less related to the Heavenly Dao?
Such an issue was an interpersonal relationship type, and HD usually opted for a neutral stance except when it came to its creator.
Thus, HD simply agreed to refrain from its action and shall wait for Ye Ming’s command if there was ever a next time.
’Hmm, no wonder why every cultivator wishes to be in control of the Heavenly Dao.’ Ye Ming mused inwardly. The feeling of being in control and capable of deciding a world’s fate in a single command was unfathomable.
He wasn’t drowned in power, but it sure was a newfound feeling for him.
Nevertheless, his thoughts soon drifted back to the system prompt description that HD made.
It appeared that Tian Suyin’s attempt to split open the sky was her concern for her Father.
The Heavenly Dao only perceived the world in a neutral stance, but never on a personal or emotional level. Therefore, it cannot be deduced whether Tian Suyin was sincere or not, only based on their actions committed.
Just like how a recording camera in a movie set, they could capture the actors’ movements and voices. But they could never capture their real intention.
After all, actors were acting out of characters based on their required scripts. It wasn’t their true emotion or intention whatsoever.
This was easily distinguishable if one worked in the production set and knew the actors.
Henceforth, Ye Ming’s decision to enter the lower world was to personally experience the situation himself. Moreover, he wanted to see whether Heaven Pardon was worthy to exist.
Based on the drastic decrease in population, Ye Ming reckoned that some people within Heaven Pardon were using the punishment of Heavenly Dao as a context to commit crimes.
’Those unrelated to the punishment but get incriminated by them would not get away.’ He wasn’t a saint. But he sure as hell wasn’t someone who would sit by and watch innocents get slaughtered after knowing about it.
Five days later...
"Son, you better not get harmed at all." Ye Qing Lei held Ye Ming’s hand and seemed to be unwilling to let go.
"Mother, you already equipped me from top to bottom. They’re invisible as well to others, so other than you, who could harm me?" Ye Ming smiled bitterly and replied.
Since he had passed the lecture with flying colors, Ye Qing Lei knew she had to let him go. Otherwise, she was positive he might just sneak away.
Rather than being worried that he would sneak away without any preparation, she might as well permit him and equip him to the max.
Ye Ming initially wanted to refuse, but upon realizing this equipment didn’t even seem to affect him whatsoever, he could only agree.
He wanted to remain inconspicuous, so if he were to wear end-game level gear, then wasn’t he just asking to be spotted right away?
Standing beside Ye Qing Lei was his Father, Ye Xuan. His face was solemn and naturally exuded a domineering pressure.
However, Ye Ming was no longer affected by it. He stood straight and was rather calm when facing him now.
"What? You have something to say as well?" Ye Ming raised an eyebrow and asked.
Ye Xuan remained quiet. It appeared that he had a lot to say, but just couldn’t utter them aloud.
In the end, Ye Qing Lei nudged his arms slightly and explained, "Your Father was the one who gathered all the Profession knowledge that is now incorporated in your memory. The equipment you’re wearing right now is also hand-crafted by him in the past few days. Its protection could be said to be number 2 and no one dared to claim another to be number 1."
Realization quickly dawned upon Ye Ming.
No wonder it took them five days to finally approve it.
Although it was only five days, he was certain that Ye Xuan must have slowed time down by a lot. After all, the craftsmanship in the equipment was extremely meticulous and didn’t look like work done in five days.
"I supposed you’re not hopeless," Ye Ming commented and waved his hand. It was his way of saying thanks.
Ye Qing Lei flashed a gentle smile, clearly understanding her son’s current temperament. If she still didn’t understand him by now, then she would surely be a disgrace.
Ye Ming scratched his head in response. He knew that she knew what he intended, so it was kind of embarrassing.
"Hmph, you better not get bullied in the mortal world." Ye Xuan suddenly snorted, flung his sleeve, and turned around.
In the next instance, his figure flashed and before long, he disappeared from the scene.
Ye Qing Lei could only shake her head in response. Similar to Ye Ming’s attitude, Ye Xuan was equally the same. They were both terrible at expressing their intent and always acted in such a manner.
She was about to explain his mannerisms to her son, only to find him shrugging and smirking.
"What a tsundere type of character." He clicked his tongue but then shook his head. "Actually no, he’s a simp and a whipped husband."
The terminology he used was quite fascinating, but Ye Qing Lei didn’t understand any of it.
Tsundere?
Simp?
What kind of adjectives were those?
