The Heavenly Dao System-Chapter 66: Flying Ship
"Have you gotten everything?" Ye Qing Lei asked, her gaze looking at Ye Ming who was stepping on a flying ship.
Ye Ming exhaled deeply and nearly wanted to cry aloud.
For the nth time that she asked, he was starting to suspect she might regret her decision.
After all, he was only bringing Qing Lan with him. However, he was certain that she was going to secretly send many guards to him anyway.
As for the flying ship, Ye Ming wanted to experience the novelty of the cultivation and check how it felt. Otherwise, he could have simply gotten the portal to teleport straight to the lower world.
"Relax, Mother. Even if there happened to be some hermit in the lower world, their cultivation realm isn’t going to be anything." Ye Ming waved his hand and said calmly.
Even if the lower world had a cultivation realm that exceeded the mortal world level, the equipment and many resources he received that were stashed in the spatial ring, were enough to destroy nearly all living beings.
"Alright, Mother won’t pester you anymore." Ye Qing Lei finally sighed and released her grasp.
Ye Ming heaved a sigh of relief. He seriously thought his Mother was going to change her mind last second.
That would have been an uh-oh moment!
As he glanced around the silent surroundings, Ye Ming realized that his journey must have been kept a secret. It made sense though.
Who knew who might plot against him once he left this world?
Although the chance of being harmed was actually less than 1%, some retards might still try.
"Oh, right, son." Ye Qing Lei suddenly called out just when Ye Ming was about to embark on the ship.
’Crap, did I jinxed myself?’ Startled, Ye Ming feigned deaf and continued to embark. He even tried to use his eye to signal to Qing Lan to start the flying ship.
Unfortunately, Qing Lan’s face was rather awkward, almost as if she wanted to cry.
Seeing her peculiar expression, Ye Ming forgot about something called perception.
Yes, perception as in being able to see all surroundings. Cultivators had them, which differentiated them from mere mortals who had to use their naked eyes to see.
In other words, what he just did with his eyes was perceived by Ye Qing Lei. The only reason why he hadn’t been restricted or detained was because his Mother wanted him to personally answer her.
He swallowed a mouthful of saliva, turned around, and smiled brightly.
"Yes, Mother?" He answered.
"The flying ship is automatic, but Qing Lan will be busy scanning the situation around. You wouldn’t have anyone attend to your needs, so I brought her over." Ye Qing Lei mused and snapped her fingers.
Soon, a familiar person appeared from thin air.
Almost immediately, Ye Ming frowned at the sight of them.
"Ye Ling." He spat out in a not-so-friendly tone. Although he didn’t punish her severely, his attitude made it clear that he looked down on her.
However, now that he thought about it... he was technically the same.
His judgment on Tian Suyin inevitably resulted in more deaths than Ye Ling’s action.
’Oh wells, that’s what we called hypocrite beings at the top.’ Ye Ming shrugged and no longer let the incident affect his mindset.
As much as he tried his best to stop the assimilating of his memory, it became evident that his mindset was slowly being corrupted to adapt and fit in the cultivation world.
Meanwhile, Ye Ling held a complicated expression when she was summoned here.
Ever since she was called out alongside the other two younger generations of the Ye Clan, her Father’s prestige had taken a heavy toll.
It could have been said that her Father was subtly being alienated by fellow clansmen.
’Father worked so hard to build up his network, but I ruined it in one go.’ Ye Ling felt guilty whenever she thought about the incident.
Nobody was willing to speak up on her Father’s behalf because the opposition was none other than Ye Ming.
Who in the Ye Clan dared to cross over him?
Even if Ye Ming remained a useless person now, there would only be flattery and praise toward him.
That was just the reality.
With his parents being literally undying, Ye Ming would forever overshadow everyone.
At the peak of her despair, Ye Qing Lei suddenly offered her a solution to resolve the incident and make amends for her Father.
And that was to accompany her son’s journey and ensure he was satisfied at all costs.
When Ye Ling heard that, she already knew that even if it meant offering her body to pleasure Ye Ming, she had to do it.
However, other than Ye Qing Lei’s solution, Ye Ling knew her Father was doomed to be estranged from their relatives.
Thus, she ultimately made the decision and accepted the offer, bringing her to the current present.
"I, Ye Ling, am here to service the Young Master." Ye Ling lowered her head and greeted Ye Ming in a serene tone.
Since she had made up her mind, then she must do her best to earn his favor to pardon her father.
As long as Ye Ming showed some favor toward Ye Binghe, their grim situation would instantly change 180 degrees.
This was also something Ye Qing Lei had emphasized. She might not care much about the internal politics in the Ye Clan because there was no need for her to do so. But she was definitely interested in her son’s actions.
To Ye Qing Lei, the Ye Clan’s internal politics were mere child’s play, but Ye Ming’s actions would always be the most interesting event to her.
A moment of silence consumed the atmosphere before Ye Ming shifted his attention to his Mother.
"Can I reject her?" Ye Ming asked.
"She’s not my type and seeing her will only make me disgusted." He wasn’t dumb and understood Ye Qing Lei wanted him to simply release his stress using her.
However, he seriously had no interest in it.
Maybe this was the problem with being able to have everything with a single thought.
