The Heiress Spoiled by Four Brothers and One Devilish CEO-Chapter 278 What the heck… is there no weakness?
The car screeched to a halt right in front of Tristan.
With a loud bang, Zeta Prime’s metal head punched through the roof. "Oops, got a bit carried away. Forgot to use the door."
Megan’s mouth twitched uncontrollably. That was a multimillion-dollar car, trashed in mere seconds. Sure, she had the money, but man, it still hurt.
Tristan opened the door and helped her out, pulling her into his arms. "You little troublemaker, why can’t you sit still? Even with the baby, you’re still up to no good."
Megan looked up at him and smiled. "I missed you! And you know me, actions speak louder than words!"
Tristan sighed and gently kissed her forehead. "What should I do with you, my sweet Megan?"
Meanwhile, Zeta Prime lowered its head back into the car and stepped out, walking up to Delta12. Extending a mechanical arm, palm turned up, it said, "I’m Zeta Prime, the master’s AI butler. Pleased to meet you, girlfriend."
Delta12 placed its mechanical hand in Zeta Prime’s. "Call me Delta12, the master’s AI officer. Nice to meet you too, boyfriend."
Zeta Prime leaned forward and "kissed" Delta12’s hand. "Hope we get along well!"
Tristan shot them a sideways glance. "Happy now?"
Zeta Prime let out a maniacal chuckle. "My master always keeps her word. Delta12 is just my type—so pretty!"
Megan’s lips twitched again. Honestly, Zeta and Delta12 were practically clones, only Delta12 had a slightly more feminine voice.
So basically, Zeta Prime just indirectly said she was good-looking.
She shook her head—Zeta Prime was always best at fooling itself.
"Let’s go," said Tristan, holding Megan’s hand.
She nodded firmly. "Through life and death, together!"
Tristan led Megan onto a helicopter, while Zeta Prime held Delta12’s hand and boarded as well.
Over a thousand helicopters headed toward the given coordinates.
Deep in the forest, thick branches sheltered the hidden source of evil.
Charles Cooper smirked as he watched SWAT members in the lab being injected with the biochemical enhancers.
Suddenly, quick, heavy footsteps approached. He turned around.
"Sir! Over a thousand helicopters are inbound!"
Charles frowned. "So fast? That traitor Nathaniel must’ve tipped them off! How many bio-humans do we have ready?"
"Two thousand, sir. Another three thousand waiting for injection."
Charles clenched his jaw. "Inject the rest immediately! And send a squad to the city—give the civilians the serum. I want chaos everywhere! One infects another, and soon, the whole world will belong to the bio-humans!"
"Yes, sir!"
Just as the words left the officer’s mouth, the ground rumbled with deafening noise and gunfire.
"Sir, the AI troops have landed!"
Charles roared, "Then what are you waiting for? Get moving!"
Back in the lab, not all the special forces were willing subjects—some began resisting the injections. Charles stormed in and, without hesitation, tore one soldier in half—his head detaching and rolling across the floor.
"Anyone else want to die like that? Step right up. I’ll make it quick!"
Outside, gunfire lit up the smoke-choked sky. Megan sat in the helicopter, covering her mouth and coughing lightly.
She rested a laptop on her lap, her baby bump slightly in the way.
She laughed softly. "Uh-oh, typing like this’s a bit tricky."Tristan let out a low chuckle and shifted slightly, moving the laptop onto his lap. "Now this feels right."
Megan’s fingers danced over the keyboard. "Charles Cooper definitely loaded up on automated weapons too. I just need to shut down his ports—cut off access to the AI systems he’s using."
"My brilliant Megan," he said with a grin.
She gave a sharp, confident smirk. "I’m not gonna slow you down. Starting signal scan... unlocking the entrance to his underground lab."
Tristan smiled. "Editing robot programs is my jam, but decoding stuff like this? You’re way ahead of me there."
"That’s why we make a good team."
The ground entrance rumbled open, and a swarm of AI units stormed in.
Tristan gave the mechanical enforcers a direct order: wipe out every single bio-engineered entity. No exceptions. Use decapitation and fire.
Cruel? Maybe. But there was no gentler option.
Even one getting out could wipe out a whole city.
Watching through the video feed, they saw Zeta Prime breach the inner lab. And right there was Charles Cooper, now fully transformed into a bio-monster.
Charles sneered, his voice dripping arrogance. "You think you can take down my army? I’ll rule this world!"
Zeta Prime let out a creepy cackle. "Charles Cooper, my master has a message for you."
Charles scoffed, "What now?"
"Bad guys always die talking too much."
With that, Zeta Prime’s arm fired a searing laser right at his neck. Charles’s head separated clean from his body, rolling across the floor to Zeta Prime’s feet—only to be stomped into pulp by a massive metal foot.
Zeta Prime let out a fake gasp. "Well, boss... he just rage quit life!"
Megan frowned. "Careful!"
On screen, the seemingly headless body suddenly sprouted a brand-new head—still looking like Charles Cooper.
Then, without warning, he lunged at Zeta Prime.
Zeta Prime spun around and bolted, shouting, "Oh hell no, what kind of horror show is this?!"
Megan’s brows pressed into a tight line. "What the heck... is there no weakness?"
"Looks like regrowth isn’t linked to his head." Tristan’s eyes narrowed in thought. "Zeta Prime, go for his internal organs—tear him apart."
With orders clear, Zeta Prime shifted gears from terrified to total beast mode. A combat blade folded out from its arm as it twisted back and leapt at Charles like a missile.
Charles dodged fast, clearly wary of strikes to the body.
He darted up through the overhead lab piping like some creepy monkey with freakishly long arms. 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶
Zeta Prime chased relentlessly, slashing at him with its blade every chance it got.
Slicing through Charles’s crisp white shirt, green goo oozed from the cuts—only for the wounds to instantly seal back up.
Watching the feed, Tristan ordered Delta12 to relay a new command: all units aim for the bio-soldiers’ vital organs.
Instantly, green blood flooded the area. The acrid stench of burning flesh spread through the forest in waves of nausea.
Megan gagged uncontrollably.
Tristan barked out another command to the autopilot AI: pull the helicopter away from the lab—now.
The heavy rotors spun to life, and the chopper slowly lifted off the ground. But just as it gained some altitude, a jolt rattled through the landing gear, making the whole thing shudder violently.
Tristan’s instincts flared. Pulling Megan close, he stared at the cabin door, eyes razor sharp with lethal intent.
Delta12 raced forward, deploying twin combat blades from its arms—just as the cabin door was yanked off with brute force.
And there it was—a twisted, monstrous face staring them down.
