Chapter 44: The Mischievous Lin Fei’er

Su Wan’s right eye twitched. She realized that Lin Fei’er and Li Peng’s date was over. If Fei’er had gone home and didn’t see her, she should be worried.

Su Wan quickly accepted the call but before she could place her phone to her ear, a hurried female voice could be heard from the other end.

It was so loud, so not only could Su Wan hear it, but Jiang Xuecheng who was standing beside Su Wan could clearly hear it too.

“Su Wan, it’s midnight now. Why are you not home? Where are you? You’re an adult now, please don’t make me worry about you!”

Su Wan touched her nose awkwardly. She looked at Jiang Xuecheng with a faint smile and started consoling Lin Fei’er softly.

“I have some matters to attend to. I’ll explain once I’m home. Fei’er, don’t you worry. I’ll end the call now, let’s talk later.”

As the matter was too complicated, it would be difficult to explain it clearly through the phone.

When Su Wan ended the call, Jiang Xuecheng’s eyes deepened suddenly and he asked, “Are you going back to your friend’s place?”

With a guilty conscience, Su Wan nodded. She was partially using Lin Fei’er to hide from Jiang Xuecheng. Until now, she had not been able to accept the reality of being married.

To Su Wan’s surprise, Jiang Xuecheng did not get angry but instead, he magnanimously agreed to her request. “I’ll pick you up tomorrow, then.”

Su Wan knew that Jiang Xuecheng was being tolerant towards her by allowing her to defer a day and she was silently grateful to him.

“Can you come over at 6 pm tomorrow? I’d like to pack my things.”

“Sure.”

Jiang Xuecheng was not in a rush. He could use this time to redecorate Fontainebleau. After all, they had just gotten married. Even if the wedding ceremony had to be deferred, their residence should have a joyous feel.

Su Wan let out a sigh of relief and smilingly walked out of the Municipal Bureau of Civil Affairs with Jiang Xuecheng.

The staff saw Su Wan and Jiang Xuecheng off. They sighed, as such a big piece of news would definitely shock everyone if it were to be disseminated.

However, he could only keep it, hide it, and not reveal it, or he would lose his job at any time. He wouldn’t dare do it!

It was late in the night. On the way home, Jiang Xuecheng was in a good mood. He sent Su Wan to the ground floor of the apartment and had a sudden impulse to wrap his arms over her shoulder.

Su Wan was taken aback. Jiang Xuecheng lowered his head gently and planted his thin lips on her forehead.

The kiss was simple and pure without any distracting thoughts. Very quickly, the warm touch left Su Wan.

To be looked at preciously by such a handsome man would move any woman even if she was indifferent.

Su Wan had made up her mind to be a good wife. When Jiang Xuecheng wasn’t looking, she stood on the tip of her toes and swiftly placed a kiss on his lower jaw.

Then, Su Wan dashed towards the lobby, afraid to take another look at Jiang Xuecheng.

Jiang Xuecheng was stunned for a moment as he did not expect Su Wan to take the initiative to kiss him. Just as he wanted to catch this little woman back to pamper her, Su Wan slipped away.

He didn’t care as to why Su Wan had agreed to marry him but at that moment, he felt that the time for this little woman to truly love him would not be too far away.

On the other hand, Su Wan headed directly to the elevator. She held onto the inner wall of the elevator, still panting. Her cheeks were warm and she was taken aback by her courage.

When Lin Fei’er opened the door, she saw a red-faced Su Wan standing outside the door with the look of a student that had made a mistake.

Lin Fei’er couldn’t help wondering and asked, “Wan, don’t tell me you were in a bad mood and went to the bar for a drink?”

While shaking her head, Su Wan took a few gasps of air. After a few deep breaths, she could finally speak normally.

“Fei’er…I-I’m married.”

Lin Fei’er was so shocked she shut the door with a bang. Both of them shuddered at the loud noise.

After a good while of silence, Lin Fei’er gulped. “Wan, don’t scare me. You’re joking, right?”

She had not seen Su Wan for just a day and Su Wan did not go on another blind date, so how did she become a married woman?

Su Wan cautiously held the marriage certificate in her hand. She was in a trance too. She didn’t believe she had gotten married so easily.

Su Wan shoved the red marriage certificate to her good friend. “Fei’er, take a look yourself.”

Lin Fei’er freaked out when she saw the marriage certificate booklet with exquisite workmanship, obviously not an imitation.

“Wan, are you crazy? Even if you want to get married, you shouldn’t get married so carelessly and rashly. Who knows if your husband is a beast or a gentleman? You don’t know if he’ll sell you off!”

In the end, when she flipped open the small booklet, Lin Fei’er’s big eyes widened.

The first person she noticed was not Su Wan but the handsome man beside Su Wan!

Wasn’t this the CEO of Di Chen Group, Jiang Xuecheng? Had she seen wrongly?

Lin Fei’er rubbed her eyes and realized the man in the picture did not only look like Jiang Xuecheng, the name stated below the picture was indeed Jiang Xuecheng!

She recalled the day she picked Su Wan up from Fontainebleau. That day, Su Wan had asked about Jiang Xuecheng for the very first time.

Lin Fei’er’s round eyes darted side to side. Her anger had disappeared and was now replaced with nosiness.

…If one’s marriage partner was Jiang Xuecheng, countless people would be willing no matter how hasty the marriage was!

Lin Fei’er pushed Su Wan to the couch and tickled Su Wan’s sides with narrowed eyes.

“Wan, you’re more dishonest than I am. Tell me honestly, how did you climb up this big tree?”

Su Wan wanted to escape. She was afraid of being tickled. However, Lin Fei’er continued tickling her until she told her everything.

In the end, Lin Fei’er, a relatively open person, kept asking Su Wan some awkward questions. She asked if Su Wan had taken down Jiang Xuecheng at Fontainebleau and how her first time felt like?

Su Wan’s ears reddened. As she was thin-skinned, she quickly shook her head.

However, some scenes of Fontainebleau flashed through her mind and a guilty conscience arose in Su Wan’s heart.

When she saw her blushing, Lin Fei’er half-believed in her words. She knew her good friend was not as open as she was. So, Lin Fei’er continued probing further.

Su Wan had a forlorn look. “Your majesty, I beg you, I really didn’t do it with Jiang Xuecheng. Please let me go. I still have to work tomorrow.”

Lin Fei’er let go of Su Wan. When Su Wan returned from the office the next day, she saw that all her things had been properly packed by Lin Fei’er. She was very touched.

Just when Su Wan was about to say thank you, Lin Fei’er smiled cunningly like a sly fox. In her hand was a brand-new cherry red paper bag.

Seeing Lin Fei’er’s cunning and eccentric smile, Su Wan had a premonition. What was in the bag?
