The Lust System: Brother, Please Help Me-Chapter 132: New Upgrades
The next day, Ember and the rest of the base wake up to a surprise. The moment Ember opens her eyes, she sees a message from the CE.
[The Eyrie has been successfully upgraded. New structures and features have been integrated. Please review the updated facilities.]
It was only at this time that Ember remembered that the more members she got, the more the base would upgrade. She checked the system and found that her AB and CL had also increased.
[Crimson Lust (CL): 405,285]
[Azure Bond (AB): 22,567]
It was still early, but she was eager to see the changes. She didn’t want to view them through the CE; she wanted to see them herself. She woke Aiden, quickly explained to him, and had him wake the others.
As the leaders, they should be the first to embrace the newness of the base. So an hour later, they met at the private quarter. The first place they went to was the library.
It was a two-story room. It had all the books Ember and the others had salvaged. The room smelled like books. As though it had been here for a long time.
The shelves were made of wood and climbed the wall to the ceiling. They were accessible by a spiraling staircase. Ember noticed one thing about the library: there were holographic books. But they could not read them.
There were comfortable armchairs and secluded reading nooks. Each could become a private alcove. There was also an option to show any scene from the history of the planet.
The highlight of the room, however, was the holographic librarian. It could access any volume with a spoken command.
Ember asked about the holographic section she had seen. The response was that the base needed a higher level before she could read them.
She was somewhat disappointed, but she left it alone. The base would upgrade again soon if they kept their recruitment plan. The next upgrade should be 500 people.
Leaving the library, they went to the Game Hall. It had bright lighting with various games. From board games to game consoles and finally VR.
Ember didn’t remember collecting many of these things. She assumed the CE had generated them.
This was not the case. Since the CE fought with the Dominance Lust System, it had been able to pick up objects on its own. It then recycled these items to make the new games.
So in a place Ember didn’t know the CE was actually helping her to build the base, while she was worry-free.
Next to the game hall was a small lecture hall. The seats were arranged in semicircles. They all faced a holo-projector. This place is supposed ot be a place of learning.
People can come here to debate and share knowledge. Ember isn’t sure there will be debates now, but there might be in the future. When things stabilize, maybe Sarah can give lectures on the new medical systems in the base.
Another stop they made was to a place called the Serenity Lounge. This was a place for people to socialize. There was a self-service bar.
It had coffees, teas, and other non-alcoholic beverages. There was also a separate section for alcoholic beverages that was not as easily accessible.
Ember thought it might have been set up that way because drinking anything alcoholic at this time, when they need to be alert, would be suicide.
Leaving one section of the base, they moved on to another. This was a separate wing all to itself, much like the social section they had just left.
Walking past the garden filled with blooming flowers, they stepped into a large room. It was filled with glowing lanterns.
Pilished wooden beam crisscrossed the ceiling. There were dozens of silk ropes, a multitude of colours. The name at the entrance of this room was the Garden of Knots.
There were instructional holograms for those who wanted to try. It was a hall not just for bondage but for those who wanted to learn Shibari or Kinbaku.
Turning into another room, the atmosphere became different. The walls and floors were made of easy-to-clean materials.
The room was furnished with equipment. A spanking bench with padded restraints, a suspension rig with magnetic locks. Each piece of equipment had emergency releases.
The place was made in such a way that it felt safe. A place that could be used for the exploration of power dynamics. Where people’s limits are tested.
The next room was completely different from the other two. This one had self-contained rooms, each with its own purpose.
The first room housed a pod filled with body temperature seawater. It was large enough to house two people. There was no light, sound, or sense of gravity. However, every touch was magnified.
The second room is one of pure darkness. They will be able to hear and touch. But their sight will be eliminated. It also keeps sounds to a minimum. Voices will come out in hushed whispers.
The third room gives people the option to control the sensations they feel. There is a table on which are restraints. The other person controls the temperature os different sections of the table.
Exiting this particular section, they went to a large ballroom. In this room, they are offered masks. Each mask can camouflage the wearer.
This gives the animosity needed to be with other people. There are designated rooms in this wing as well. People will be able to live out the desires they want without fear of judgment.
So, should the other options be too public, the masquerade room gives the anonymity needed while still gaining CL.
Visiting all these rooms, Ember and the others were amazed. They had never thought that in the expansion, they would have designated room for different sexual activities.
They were not sure if any of these places would be used, but it was a good addition to a base that uses lust to power its systems.
