The Lustful Villain: Every Milfs and Gilfs are Mine!-Chapter 31. Side Quest: Found Her Childhood Crush (He Works For Me Now)
Five bandits ran at Rex at the same time, weapons drawn. And what did Rex do about it?
He just stayed still while crossing both his arms with an arrogant smirk on his face.
His telekinesis moved things for him like a passive skill without any activation. The attackers’ weapons flew out of their hands and spun through the air, sticking into trees nearby.
The bandits were lifted off the ground and slammed together in the air before falling to the ground in a groaning pile.
The camp fell silent immediately after seeing what happened.
Rex yawns and then looks at them all. "So... Anyone else would like to be the hero?"
"Damn you!" One bandit shouts at him.
Ten more bandits attacked, but this time they were more careful. This time, he wanted to move just a bit, so he waved his hand, and everyone stopped moving, held in place by an unseen force.
He lifted them thirty feet into the air and held them there, fighting in vain.
"You know... I can drop them with any forces I have," Rex said conversationally. "And... of course. A fall from this height would probably kill a few."
"Even if they didn’t die. Some bones would break on the rest, and you can feel the pain for the rest of your life... or maybe... you can all calm down and listen to my actual offer," Rex said with intimidation.
Kruger looked up at all the bandits who were hanging from the ceiling, then at Rex. "What the fuck... are you!?"
"I don’t know... maybe a powerful person who needs tools that can be thrown away."
"And it seems like bandits are something I need for now. All of you already steal and kill for a living, so here I am... just offering to point you in more profitable directions."
Rex let the suspended bandits down slowly, letting them go. They hurried back to the main group, keeping a close eye on him.
"What kind of directions are we talking about here...? Kruger asked carefully.
"Anything I need, of course. That could mean attacking certain targets at times."
"Sometimes getting information... or sometimes I just make enough trouble so that people don’t see me working."
"And what do we get for that?" Kruger asked to make sure. 𝘧𝘳𝘦ℯ𝓌𝘦𝒷𝘯𝑜𝑣𝘦𝓁.𝒸𝘰𝓂
Rex answered. "Safety... and things to use."
"First choice of anything we buy together. And most importantly, you get to live."
Everyone knew it was a terrible offer with no real choice. But Kruger was smart enough to know what power looked like.
The leader of the bandits asked, "What’s your name?"
"Rexilion... but you can call me Rex."
"Okay, Rex... Seems like you got your point across." Kruger nodded. "We’ll listen to you."
Kruger told his people to put down their weapons. "But I have a question first..."
"You promised us that you would make us richer, and by that... how exactly?"
"By giving you goals that are worth reaching... and speaking of that," Rex stopped. "This group... You were the ones who attacked the town nearby a few weeks ago, right?"
Kruger grunted. "Yeah... it was easy to choose that town because the guards were weak."
"We took what we wanted and left."
Rex asked. "Tell me everything about that raid."
For the next hour, Kruger and his bandits went into great detail about the attack. How they had scouted the town, picked the magistrate and guard captain as their main targets, and used numbers and violence to overwhelm the defenders.
Kruger said, "The magistrate had a good stash."
"There’s gold, jewels, and papers, so we took everything... but the captain of the guards fought hard until I had to kill him myself."
Rex put all of this information away. Then he heard something Kruger said that made him pay attention.
"Hold on... You said you caught a few people, right?"
"Where are they now?"
"I sold most of them... but I kept one, just because he has been helpful." Kruger pointed to one of his men. "Get Marcus."
"Marcus...?" Rex said in his mind with a clinical gaze.
A young man, maybe in his early twenties, was pulled forward. He looked lean and tough, and his face was familiar, which made Rex’s mind race.
There was a small resemblance to what Lily said back then. The shape of the eyes and the line of the jaw bore a striking resemblance. And the name...
Rex said slowly. "Where are you from, Marcus?"
The young man looked at him defiantly. "What’s it to you?"
"Answer the fucking question!" Kruger snapped, "He was from a village two days north of here."
"His family lost everything when things got tough... and we picked him up six months ago when he was lost."
"It turns out he knows how to use a blade."
Rex looked at Marcus closely and knew right away that he was the Marcus Lily mentioned earlier, and the fact that she had a crush on this person when she was a kid makes it even more intriguing for him.
He was the same boy who had broken her heart and made her wait. And now he was one of them, working with the same people who had destroyed the town where Lily was staying.
The irony was fucking hilarious for Rex that he just smiled.
Rex said, "Cool, cool... Marcus seems like the perfect guy here."
"Actually... all of you are, so that’s why I have a task for you."
"Already?" Kruger looked doubtful. "What kind of work?"
"The town you attacked before... I want you all to attack it again without any merciful feelings this time."
"W-What? Again?! We already cleaned that fucking place up, and there’s going to be nothing left that is worth taking."
Rex said, "Who the fuck cares about loot?"
"I need you to attack for different reasons... Make it big and hurtful this time without showing any mercy!"
"Kill all the civilians and set the buildings on fire... and even better if you make things go wrong."
"Why...?"
"Because there are heroes living there right now..." Rex smirks. "The Starlights are a well-known family."
"They are currently training the villagers and helping them rebuild their defenses, so that’s why... I need you all to test those defenses and give them a real threat to fight against."
"It’s getting boring here, you know?"
Kruger saw the light of understanding hearing Rex say that. "You want us to be the bad guys who make them look good?"
"Somewhat... but I also want to see how they fight against real threats to study what they can actually do in that kind of situation." Rex said while raising his finger. "And I want things to be so messed up that no one notices when I do something."
Kruger said, "That’s cold," with a hint of respect. "Using us as a way to get away from your own work."
"Exactly... I want an ambush of attacks to happen in three days so that gives me time to get ready and get in the right place."
"Strike them at dawn when they’re least ready, and pretend it’s for revenge and money."
"I’ll be inside the inn, keeping the people I need to keep safe and getting useful information."
"And what happens next?"
"After that, you go back to a place I’ll tell you about..."
"We’ll get back together, and I’ll give you your next task..."
Kruger thought about it for a moment before nodding. "Okay... We’ll get it done."
"But I need to know that you won’t just leave us to die out there."
"I promise to protect you as long as you are useful and not being a fucking snitch," Rex said with a smile. "Betray me, and you know what I can do."
Rex pointed at one of the bandits, causing the man’s body to lift off the ground as he clutched his throat, choking from Rex’s power. "See that?" After a moment, Rex released the bandit, letting him drop.
The threat was so clear and real in the air that it made some of the bandits tremble.
"I... I understand," Kruger said. "Three days... ambush attack at dawn with full force."
"That’s a good fucking plan indeed." Rex began to leave but stopped. "Oh, and Kruger?"
"Make sure Marcus is a big part of the attack... Let him be in charge of a group or something."
"I want him to be very clear to everyone’s eyes."
"Why...?"
"Because I have things I want him to do... so believe me," Rex said while waving his hands at them. "Let’s have fun for now until we become the richest in this world, alright?"
As the bandits watched in shock, Rex rose into the air and flew back to town. His mind was racing with the consequences of what he had just done as he flew through the night sky.
The attack by the bandits would cause a lot of trouble. The Starlight heroes would fight to protect the town, showing how brave and trustworthy they were.
Rex could act like a defender in the chaos while actually moving people exactly where he wanted them.
Lily would see Marcus, the boy who had left her, now working with the bandits who had hurt so many people. It would destroy any idealized memory she still had, making her even more dependent on Rex for emotional support.
Also, the fighting would let him test his telekinesis against real people, see how the Starlight party really fought, and find any weaknesses he could use later.
It was just right... and of course, perfect in every way like he desires.
He landed quietly in the inn’s courtyard and went back inside. He would keep making friends and getting stronger tomorrow.
In three days, everything would go wrong.
Rex would be right in the middle of it all, pulling strings and putting things in the right places.
The game was speeding up now, going from subtle manipulation to full-blown chaos.
Rex couldn’t wait to see what would happen next...
