The Lustful Villain: Every Milfs and Gilfs are Mine!-Chapter 38. The Goblin King is Going to Be My Tool!
Rex starts walking in circles while thinking. "That honestly made me worried... and answers some of my questions about that bitch..."
"If Evelyn was a reincarnator with her system, it would explain why she was always watching me with how perceptive she was and how well she could read people."
"What other systems are there besides mine?"
[KNOWN SYSTEM TYPES SO FAR...]
[HERO SYSTEM: REWARDS HEROIC ACTIONS AND SAVING PEOPLE]
[VILLAIN SYSTEM: REWARDS EVIL ACTIONS AND CAUSING CHAOS (YOUR TYPE)]
[MERCHANT SYSTEM: REWARDS SUCCESSFUL BUSINESS VENTURES]
[CULTIVATION SYSTEM: REWARDS TRAINING AND SELF-IMPROVEMENT]
[HAREM SYSTEM: REWARDS ROMANTIC CONQUESTS]
[SURVIVAL SYSTEM: REWARDS STAYING ALIVE IN DANGEROUS SITUATIONS]
[UNIQUE SYSTEMS: VARIOUS ONE-OF-A-KIND VARIATIONS]
"The typical things you would find in any novels or anime, huh? With that knowledge I could at least counter them all." Rex smirks.
"So... what kind of system would Evelyn probably have if she were a reincarnator?"
[ANALYZING BEHAVIORAL PATTERNS]
[MOST PROBABLE: HERO SYSTEM OR DETECTION SYSTEM]
[HERO SYSTEM WOULD EXPLAIN DEVOTION TO ELLIOT’S CAUSE]
[DETECTION SYSTEM WOULD EXPLAIN HEIGHTENED AWARENESS]
[RECOMMENDATION: TREAT AS POTENTIAL THREAT]
[AVOID DIRECT CONFRONTATION UNTIL MORE DATA AVAILABLE]
Rex put all of this information away. If Evelyn was a reincarnator with a way to find or stop people like him, he would have to be even more careful than he had planned.
"Even though I didn’t like that fact, it seems like Evelyn’s going to be the last woman I need to conquer after I get the starlights..." Rex looked at the sky. "But still... I still need to see how strong Elliot is to make a reincarnator like her fall in love with such a wimp-looking thing."
And then came Elliot’s voice calling everyone together, breaking into his thoughts.
"Okay, everyone!" the hero said, and his voice carried across the training ground. "I think you’ve all done a great job this week."
"Your combat skills are getting better, your tactical awareness is getting better, and I’m very impressed overall."
The villagers who were there murmured their pride and gratitude.
Elliot smiled and said, "And that’s why I believe it’s time for a field test. "I think it’s time for a field test."
The villagers were shocked, but some were eager to test their newfound strength.
Diana stepped up and opened a map. "We’ve heard that there are more monsters in the forest to the east."
"Mostly dire wolves and goblins, so it’s nothing too dangerous, but enough to test what you’ve learned."
Rex then thought about it. "Goblins, huh...? Some fantasy may portray them as weak, but there’s also other fantasy that made them nasty pieces of shit who love to fuck any women they see."
"Is this world like that...?" Rex was looking forward to it so that he could use it as a tool for later.
"We’re going on a hunting trip." Elliot said, "Clear out the monster den, keep the town safe from future threats, and give you all real combat experience in a safe setting."
The villagers looked both excited and scared. Rex’s face was blank, but his mind was already working.
A hunt for monsters... This is a great chance to watch the Starlights fight without making it look like he’s too interested in them, and he’ll also get a chance to look at Evelyn’s potential system.
Diana said, "We leave in one hour."
"Get your gear ready, and after that... we’ll meet at the east gate."
"This is going to be real combat, so make sure to take it seriously or you’ll going to get hurt... and even worse... death!"
Some of the villagers gulped, and of course, some started to get motivated. Lily immediately went to Rex as people began to leave to get ready.
"Are you going hunting?" she asked.
"Well, of course. This is an excellent opportunity to apply the knowledge I’ve gained."
"Then I’m definitely going!" Her eyes shone with determination. "I can keep you safe!"
"Lily, I’ll be fine. You should probably—"
She said firmly, "I’m going! And I’m not going anywhere."
Rex sighed but didn’t say anything. It might actually help him to have Lily close by during the fight.
Lily could serve as a good excuse for why he wasn’t revealing all of his true skills. "Alright, alright, let’s go."
...
The group met at the east gate an hour later. About twenty villagers, as well as the whole Starlight party and Rex, had signed up to help.
They had basic weapons like rusty swords, wooden shields, and a lot of nervous determination.
It took about thirty minutes of hiking through thicker and thicker forests to get to the monster den. Diana was the first to go, and her trained eye found tracks and signs of monster activity.
"There," she said softly, pointing to the place where the forest opened up into a rocky area. "That’s probably their main den, and those huts are... goblin huts."
Sure enough, there were rough wooden huts all over the clearing around the mouth of a dark cave. Dire wolves, huge animals the size of horses with jaws that could crush bones, roamed the area.
"Goblins are cowardly but vicious in groups," Elliot briefed everyone. "Dire wolves are straightforward but powerful."
"Let’s work together, forming teams while watching each other’s backs, and follow Diana’s tactical instructions."
They all nodded and moved forward in formation, and the monsters saw them right away. A dire wolf howled, waking up the others.
There’s also goblins coming out of their huts with rough spears and clubs while letting out a loud growl.
RAAAAAAAAHHHH!
And that’s when the battle began.
Rex intentionally restrained himself, using his telekinesis only in minor ways. A slight push enhanced the effectiveness of his sword swings, while another gentle nudge helped him evade incoming attacks.
Rex’s actions were not supernatural, but rather the natural enhancements he’d experienced from his training.
But Lily was a real surprise for him.
She may have been sheltered and new to the world, but her magical training showed. She put up protective walls to keep Rex safe from attacks, shot precise bolts of light magic that stunned both wolves and goblins, and in general showed that she was much more skilled than anyone had thought she would be.
"Rex, behind you!" she shouted, and a flash of light knocked a goblin down before it could stab him in the back.
"Good shot!" Rex shouted back, letting her have the credit.
She smiled at his praise and worked even harder, clearly wanting to impress him.
The battle was going on all around them. Elliot was a whirlwind of sword and heroic energy, easily cutting down goblins and wolves.
Diana’s arrows never missed by a single bit because they always hit weak spots with surgical accuracy. Helena used spells that affected a large area to confuse and scatter the enemy.
Evelyn moved like a shadow, her blade finding throats and hearts with lethal efficiency to kill them immediately.
The villagers fought, but not all of them were successful. Some villagers successfully defended themselves.
The Starlights had to save some people. Overall, they managed to maintain their position.
Rex viewed everything critically.
Elliot relied a lot on simple power and speed. It looked predictable but useful.
Diana’s tactical mind was impressive; she could find weaknesses and plan attacks.
Helena’s magic was strong and flexible, but she seemed to be holding back so as not to outshine others.
And Evelyn... she fought with such skill that it seemed like she had been in many fights before. Her movements were too perfect, too practiced.
Rex then concluded that she was definitely a reincarnator. Maybe she had skills from a past life that helped her fight like a pro, or maybe she has been in this world for years.
Then, the battle began to shift in their favor.
The cave let out a roar that was so deep and loud that it shook the ground. The other goblins stopped fighting right away and ran away, scattering into the woods.
The dire wolves whined and moved back.
"What the hell was that?!" Elliot shouted while looking at every corner to not let his guard down.
"This roar... it must be coming from something terrifying!" Diana exclaimed, shocked as they prepared to face the next challenge.
A huge figure came out of the cave’s darkness.
It towered nearly eight feet tall, its bulging muscles adorned with scars and clad in crude armor fashioned from bone and metal taken from its victims. Its skin bore a sickly green hue, and its cunning, malevolent eyes scanned the battlefield.
It had a crown made of human skulls on its head.
"N-No way...!" Diana’s face went pale as she said, "It’s the... Goblin King!"
The Goblin King roared again, and this time there was movement after the sound. More than a dozen goblins came out of the cave.
These ones were bigger and better armed than the ones before. They were guards for their king, who is the best.
"Defensive formation!" Elliot shouted, his earlier confidence replaced by sharp focus. "This situation just got very serious!"
The villagers looked really scared, and just by looking at them, they even shocked the Starlights.
Goblin Kings were rare, strong, and known for destroying whole towns only just with their brute force.
Rex, on the other hand, smiled inside.
"This was just fucking right..."
Rex smirked at the unexpected threat that would push the Starlights to their limits, creating a chaotic situation that would allow him to act without anyone questioning his motives.
Most importantly, Rex saw an opportunity to save the day in a manner that would demonstrate his value to everyone present.
The Goblin King picked up a huge axe and ran straight at Elliot, knowing that the hero was the biggest threat.
The real fight was about to start.
And Rex was ready to use it to his advantage.
