The first explosion shook the village as he was finishing getting ready.

"I..." Lily felt a wave of embarrassment as she realized Rex was right.

It was because of yesterday’s intense session; she felt sore all over her body, and even her legs refused to respond to any command.

There was a lot of chaos happening in the village. Three different places had fires, and black smoke was rising into the sky in the morning.

There were many bandits in the streets, at least thirty or forty of them, all of them armed with swords, axes, and other crude weapons.

They were attacking without thinking, breaking windows, kicking down doors, and killing anyone who tried to fight back.

Rex’s improved vision found Kruger near the middle of the raid. The huge bandit leader shouted orders and swung a war hammer that smashed a merchant’s stall with one blow.

His men were attacking in a coordinated way, which showed that they were following a plan and not just stealing things at random.

Rex thought, "Good."

"They’re doing exactly what I told them to do..."
