While the Martial Sages of the Blood Cult had their fun with a sentient, emergent predatory forest, the Martial Sages of the Marinaera Kingdom found themselves immersed in the Sea of Monsters in the depths of the Central Highlands.

The Beast Domain had many a water body, each infested with its breed of aquatic biosphere that was a much higher caliber of dangerous than water bodies in the Human Domain. Perhaps the only water body more dangerous were the depths of the Great Nam Ocean far away from the borders of the Panama Continent.

A dark, vast darkness enveloped fourteen Martial Sages in one such inland ocean.

They felt powerful tidal wave blast against them from with the depths of the ocean, disheveling their aquatic Martial attires. Their webbed finger and hands paddled by the tidal underwater force.

Their bodies were covered with all manner of body engravings in the native language and art forms across the entirety of their bronze skin. They were scantily clad, and what little clothes they wore were specifically meant to be highly aquadynamic.

Their sharp aquatic senses picked much from the depths of the ocean, their eyes narrowing as they took their stances underwater.

And soon enough, it came.

Massive tentacles shot from within the depths of the darkness in the ocean, causing a massive amount of water to launch in the sky, dwarfing any tsunami.

"KRRRIIIEEEKKK!!!" A terrifying underwater scream from one of the most legendary species of underwater monsters alerted them to the threat.

The kraken itself had emerged.

An extraordinarily powerful quasi-Transcendent aura emerged from the tremendous mountain-sized subconscious creature as it preyed on the aquatic Martial Sages. Its massive tentacles shaking the entirety of the ocean with tremendous force and power.

It wasn't alone.

Several other creatures in the depths of the ocean emerged along with it, massive, looming figures with predatory eyes.

"ATTACK!" the Waterweaver, the peak Sage of the Marinaera Kingdom, roared as the Martial Sages dove in to vastly destroy the creatures of the depths of the ocean.

The battle ravaged the oceans as Martial Sages fought against Quasi-Transcendent beasts and monsters with profound intensity.

Ordinarily, there was no need to exterminate aquatic life due to the fact that they were bound to water. However, the ecologer had already determined that the quasi-Transcendent aquatic lifeform could travel from the center of the Beast Domain to the Great Nam Ocean if they wanted to with the sheer power that they wielded.

This was a terrifying notion to human civilization.

The reason being that if the Quasi-Transcendent aquatic lifeforms entered the Great Nam Ocean, they would not only be able to to terrorize seafaring which had become humanity's lifeline in the Era of Darkness when land was compromised and could no longer facilitate the distribution of goods and services across human civilization, but they would be able to spread their primal, frenzied state of mind to future generations of aquatic life in the Great Nam Ocean.

What was especially terrifying was that there was a lot of homogeneity in the species of the Great Nam Ocean and those of the inland ocean of the Beast Domain. In other words, the frenzied aquatic lifeforms of the Beast Domain would aggressively breed with with creatures of same species in the Great Nam Ocean.

Their progeny would inherit the frenzy of the creatures of the Beast Domain, and eventually, the entirety of the Great Nam Ocean would become equally hostile to human civilization as the Beast Domain.

The leaders of human civilization had tasked the Martial Sages of the Marinaera Kingdom with ensuring that this didn't happen. Humanity was blessed that the creatures of the Great Nam Ocean hadn't turned hostile towards human civilization, but it couldn't allow the risk of that happening.

The Martial Sages of the Marinaera Kingdom had received a slightly different mission, with containment being their highest priority and eventual extermination of all quasi-Transcendent aquatic lifeforms. And yet, they were hardly new to this. "RARGH!" the Waterweaver roared as he unleashed a tremendous shockwave of water with such an astronomical amount of force that it single-handedly flung away the countless creatures that had coursed to attack them.

The Martial Sages grew grave as they experienced a profound sense of peril far greater than any other they had ever experienced in their entire lives.

In the depths of the darkness, two eyes opened, shocking the Martial Sages where they floated.

Massive reptilian eyes the size of tectonic plates, shining an eerie bloodthirsty red.

The Waterweaver gasped with shock. "A jormungandr!"

The jormungandr were regarded as the single most powerful species in the depths of the oceans.

Previously, there was only one specimen known in the entire world. One that slumbered in the depths of the Great Nam Ocean, wrapping around the entirety of the planet of Gaia. A creature regarded as a Transcendent-level monster that could wipe out all of human civilization if it ever woke up and decided to.

Today, they had discovered yet another specimen of the creature.

A weaker, smaller, and younger specimen, one that was tiny enough, relative to its older sibling on the other side of the planet. If it ever got to the other side of the planet and mated with Transcendent-level specimens to produce offspring that were in a frenzy to destroy human civilization, it would be the absolute end of humanity.
