The stats analyzer was about to say something when Mo Huaifeng spoke, “He feels that there are some problems with his playing style that requires more training to try to adjust it around.”
Xiao responded with an “oh” and looked towards Ji Zhiyao with absolute sympathy.
The thing about playing style was that it differed according to person, at their level, certain fine details can only be felt by the player himself, and would rely on himself to adjust it slowly, others were of no help.
Hence Ji Zhiyao who now held the label of “having problems with his playing style” obediently received the attention from his team mates, holding back the urge to roll his eyes, he faked a professional smile. “I will work hard, all the best, all the best!”
…
A month later
Vita battleteam moved out of the villa.
Because Mix still had two months of training schedule in Korea, the club contacted Yuan Wei and instructed him to extend the rent of the villa for another two months, till the battleteam returned home.
In this month, for both Mix and Vita, the things that they had gained were much more than they had imagined.
The win rate between the two teams had also changed from the initial 40-60, Mix against Vita, to Mix steadily winning over Vita.
With regards to this, both Park Jun Ji and Lee Sung Dae were utterly dejected. Yet no matter how hard they worked, to the point of extending the entire team’s training duration by two hours, they did not see much effect.
Whereas on Mix’s side, Heng and K had finally stabilized and didn’t fumble as often.
As for Ji Zhiyao, after a month with extra training, his hand speed was now of not much difference with Mo Huaifeng. His timing for the colored blocks program had also increased to a good 50 seconds; as for speed class, with practice, he had established a fixed pattern.
As the first stage of their training officially ended, after a discussion, the coach and stats analyzer decided to give all of them a two day break.
The internet-addicted youths who had been waking up early for a month chose to sleep in all the way on the first day.
At 11:30 AM Ji Zhiyao reluctantly crawled out of bed, showered and changed into fresh clothes. When he went downstairs, it was already 12 PM.
On the first level, Xiaofei was the only person awake and was sitting on the sofa stroking the cat.
This cat was brought by Yuan Wei from the streets yesterday, it was a rather healthy orange tabby, but it was not chubby like other orange tabbies and was instead rather skinny.
Ji Zhiyao walked to the water dispenser to get some water, while asking, “Why are you up so early?”
Xiaofei was still quite dazed. “Couldn’t fall back asleep once it was time so I came down to sit for a while.”
“You’ve gotten your body clock set.” Ji Zhiyao walked over and dropped onto the sofa. “Come come, let me hold the cat.”
Xiaofei lifted Orange’s two front legs, looking especially clumsy. Ji Zhiyao wanted to laugh seeing that and reached out to receive Orange. “You can’t hold it like that, be careful that it might scratch you.”
Once he ended his sentence, Ji Zhiyao’s wrist was scratched by a certain uncooperative Orange.
“Brother are you alright?”
Ji Zhiyao was confused as he stared at his own wrist that sported a red scar. “It’s not like I pinched it, why did it scratch me? By the way, did Yuan Wei give this cat a vaccine?”
“It was brought back just last night, what do you think?”
“Damn it.”
He looked down at Orange, yet an innocent sparkle shone in both of its eyes, completely rascal-like, as if meaning to say “it’s nothing to do with me my paw was just itchy I didn’t mean to scratch you”, it was virtually a demon… Ji Zhiyao had no way out and lifted it. “You’re pretending to be good now, what did you do earlier?”
“Meow!”
“Don’t think that acting cute will be of any use!”
“Meow meow meow!”
“I’m straight… This isn’t going to work with me!”
“Meooow”
“Forget it, you’re good, stop meowing. I’ll take you to go get vaccinated.”
Ji Zhiyao thought about it, the vet at the pet hospital might not know English, it would be more convenient to drag his Captain along. Hence he first placed Orange onto the sofa and told Xiaofei, “Fei, I’ll go wake Captain up to go to get Orange a vaccine with me, you watch it for now.”
Xiaofei nodded, and gripped Orange’s scruff that determined its fate again. “Sure brother, I’ll wait for you downstairs.”
Hence Ji Zhiyao went up the stairs, going to the third level and swiftly rushing to Mo Huaifeng’s door to knock on it. It took a good five minutes before there was a stir from inside, an exceptionally annoyed “Shut up, get lost.”
Ji Zhiyao just refused to buy this rejection. “Captain open up!”
It instantly became quiet inside. A few seconds later, the door opened.
Mo Huaifeng muttered with a grumpy face. “What are you pulling so early in the morning?”
“Damn you player, I came to wake you up and you said I’m fooling around?”
Mo Huaifeng scratched his head, as if realizing that his tone hadn’t been very nice, hence he eased up slightly and asked, “What are you waking me up for? Aren’t you sleepy?”
“I’ve woken up. Getting you to accompany me to go get Orange vaccinated.”
Ji Zhiyao grinned at Mo Huaifeng, Mo Huaifeng took a glance at him then shut the door expressionlessly.
Mo Huaifeng shouted behind the door, “I’m sleeping, you can go alone.”
Ji Zhiyao yelled in exasperation, “Do you believe that I’ll go out now and find a little Korean sister who is fair with long legs and propose to her on the spot?”
With a bang, the door before him opened again.
Mo Huaifeng chided, “Have you any civic-mindedness? Could not disturb the others from sleeping?
“I shall take on this difficult task and accompany you.”
Though Mo Huaifeng was wearing an evil-stepmother’s face, looking super unwilling, he was still very happy that he had achieved his goal. Hence Ji Zhiyao was back to feeling very pleased once more. “I’ll go take a seat downstairs, Captain do hurry up.”
Mo Huaifeng’s expression was lazy, but there was a vague trace of a smile in his eyes. “Got it.”
Ji Zhiyao headed downstairs and sat back in the same spot, fighting with Xiaofei over who could stroke Orange.
By the time Mo Huaifeng came down, it was already 20 minutes later. Ji Zhiyao was about to doze off hugging Orange. Hearing someone on the steps, he quickly opened his eyes. “Captain, you’re really slow.”
“How fast do you want me to be?” Mo Huaifeng glanced at him. “Still sitting there? Aren’t we going?”
Ji Zhiyao quickly stood up, he patted Orange’s butt, then said, “Let’s go.”
Before leaving, Ji Zhiyao had wanted to grab a cap for himself, but then thought that, he had no fame in Korea, there was nothing to cover up for, hence he left after changing his shoes.
The end-of-March weather was evidently much better. Though still cold, it wasn’t as unbearable as it was in winter.
Mo Huaifeng walked, then suddenly turned back and looked at Orange who was completely wrapped up in his clothes by Ji Zhiyao and asked, “Why did you want to get it vaccinated all of a sudden, you want to keep it?”
“I wouldn’t mind, it’s quite cute.” Ji Zhiyao said, “It’s mainly because I was scratched by it earlier when I was downstairs, it might be quite troublesome if it plays around and gives someone a deep scratch next time.”
