The People's God: Sacrificing Trillions to Ascend-Chapter 666 - Completely Ball-Less
On the way to the Water Mist Village, Nan bombarded Hanwu with questions. “Do you think there’s a limit to how much blood you can transfuse? What do you think about prosthetics? Do you want one? If you do get one, do you want to be fully anesthetized, partially, or not at all? Also, could you accept having two limbs from the same joint?”
Hanwu concluded that Nan was a certified maniac and pervert. Even perverts would likely label him perverted. Nan liked to gather limbs and graft them onto his test subjects. He would then lovingly call said test subjects “his projects.”
The incessant chatter grated on Hanwu, and he almost murdered Nan on the journey.
In fact, he actually tried, but Nan could somehow still talk with half his head blown off. That caused Hanwu to realize that Nan was almost as hard to kill as he was. In the end, he had no choice but to endure the persistent prattling.
Once they reached the location, Hanwu activated Oversight and checked his surroundings. Thousands of giants had already gathered within the forest. There were many mutants as well.
At the heart of it all was the Assault Giant, one of the nine Giant Sages. It stood at fifteen meters tall and was comparatively smaller than the twenty-to-thirty-meter-tall giants around it.
However, its strength lay in its mind and core power—the strength to fight for the future. According to the Maw Giant, as long as the Assault Giant had hope, it could sustain its fighting abilities and regenerate. It was like an unbeatable buff.
Fortunately, this buff was easy to overcome through sheer brute force. If one could make it lose hope for the future, its power would naturally disperse as well. It would then be nothing but a regular giant, and sealing it away would become child’s play.
As Hanwu made to clear the giants away, Nan excitedly stopped him. “Giants! Giants everywhere! And they have such incredible Life Energy! I’m in heaven!”
Hanwu didn’t know how to respond. Didn’t that make any place outside the ninja villages his heaven?
“I can dissect so many of them today. Please don’t stop me until I have my fill,” Nan said politely before pulling out a slew of scrolls. An object was summoned from a scroll, and Hanwu was surprised to find it was a four-meter-long scalpel.
Then came clamps and saws. Nan had prepared everything he needed to dissect the giants. He even summoned two corpses at the end. Despite being corpses, he had modified them to be controllable, and they could even use jutsu!
They were quite literally undead ninjas. Hanwu had never seen such unique beings. Nan was excited to introduce them to Hanwu. “My projects are amazing, aren’t they? This is number one. I grafted a pair of hands with the Bloodline Ability: Black Steel Hands onto it, allowing it to use Steel Style jutsu.
“And this is number two. I grafted a pair of palms onto it with the Bloodline Ability: Wind Meridian, allowing it to absorb chakra-based attacks. I also have numbers three, four, and five. Do you want to see them?”
Hanwu shook his head. The way Nan grafted limbs and organs with Bloodline Abilities was undeniably fascinating, but his handiwork was shoddy. It was nowhere near the level of the Origin of Mutation’s manipulation of genes.
Although disappointed at the rejection, Nan quickly recovered. He grabbed his tools and ordered his two assistants to kill the giants. Manic laughter was soon echoing through the jungle.
Ignoring the madman, Hanwu ran toward the Assault Giant while the rest of the giants were distracted by Nan.
The Assault Giant had sharp ears, and though Hanwu’s movement had been quiet, it had detected him with ease.
“Human, why do you have the scent of giants on you?” it asked curiously.
Hanwu’s existence confused the Assault Giant. They were supposed to be different species, yet Hanwu held the scent of giants. It couldn’t help but wonder if the person before it was half-human, half-giant.
Still, it knew that this theory wasn’t plausible, as giants sent to this civilization couldn’t reproduce. After all, even their reproductive organs had been removed, making this a ball-less speculation. So, how did Hanwu have the strong scent of a giant? The Assault Giant was stumped.
Hanwu channeled part of the Maw Giant’s power in lieu of an answer. “The Maw Giant misses you. Don’t you want to accompany it?”
The bone platings of the Maw Giant covered his hands and head as his pressure rose. The strange scent of chakra and giant permeated the area. The Assault Giant was shocked before rapidly devolving into anger.
“How dare you toy with the warriors of the giant. You cannot be forgiven!” the Assault Giant roared.
It lunged forward, fist covered in a translucent crystal that increased its hardness. When combined with the force of its own strength, it could level even a small mountain.
Hanwu didn’t back down. Using Flesh Ascendant, the terrifying air pressure blasted out as he opened all eight gates.
Their fists collided. Hanwu’s Vortex Collapsing Fist was tiny compared to the Assault Giant’s massive fist. The terrifying force of the impact rippled around them. Even the ground beneath Hanwu fractured into a ten-meter deep hole.
The impact injured Hanwu, but Undying quickly healed his wounds. The Assault Giant, on the other hand, was in bad shape. Hanwu’s Vortex Collapsing Fist had shattered the crystal on its fist, and the bones in its arm had all cracked from the strike.
Hanwu, a mere human, had gained the upper hand from the very first blow.
