The Psychopathic Beast Emperor-Chapter 100: The Man in Black

The sudden attack left everyone shocked. But what shocked them the most was Bahamut’s cut arm regrowing at a fast pace, visible to the eye. Even the man in black was shocked.

"How?" he asked, his voice unnerving to the ears.

But Bahamut didn’t answer. Instead, he focused and pushed his Self-Healing to regenerate his arm. It would take some time.

"You smell... familiar," Bahamut suddenly said, his eyes narrowing. The man recoiled at meeting his strange eyes, but he remained calm.

"That girl is mine..." he said in a cold and threatening tone.

"So... she’s the reason why you destroyed the town. And you are the reason why she became that monster... What do you want with her?" Apollonia deduced and asked, her wings unfolding from behind, the feathers glowing with a sharp and piercing light.

"Why should I tell you my secrets? You are not worth it," the man in black responded with a strange chuckle that seemed to resonate within them.

Bahamut’s expression twisted as he read what the system projected. A creature whose level couldn’t be identified was more than dangerous. He quickly turned to the others, his eyes glowing.

"Be careful. That thing is a ghoul."

"So we were right about cannibalism," Sel commented calmly as his bow and arrow disappeared, only to be replaced with two machetes. One was silver with a chain hanging down the handle, while the other was black and plain.

"It is also an evolved one..." Bahamut added darkly, making everyone’s expressions twist.

"No wonder the town fell. This is just bad luck," Rakia said in a grim tone.

"Survive at all costs," Apollonia stated when the man suddenly disappeared. Everyone pushed their senses to the max, trying to identify him when Ren suddenly moved.

The marks on his body glowed with a deep light as space twisted sharply. A sharp silver energy shot past them, so close that they felt the tingle. It hit the house behind, cutting it into two and razing it to the ground.

"Hmm?" The man tilted his head in interest, staring at the five-foot-tall bunny with the two glowing marks on its body. Bahamut and Sel didn’t let up.

Three halo-like circles materialized quickly behind them: Bahamut’s, glowing in different shades of red, and Sel’s, glowing in shades of green. Their eyes lit up brightly as they shot with insane an speed towards the man.

The ground cracked from their movement only, sending strong gales behind, and shocking Rakia and Apollonia.

’Is this what they call natural born talents?’ Apollonia thought in shock. The level of power the two were showing was beyond Tier 1 Circle of Mind. Even Circle of Initiation. And she knew they had concepts also, with Sel even having a blessing... supposedly.

These two were monsters.

The man in black was very surprised by the two’s sudden attack. He twisted his body in a weird angle as if he had no bones, dodging an upward slash from Sel, only to be met with a roundhouse kick in the face from Bahamut’s clawed feet.

The kick sent him flying a good distance, the force of it generating a great shockwave, forming a crater.

The man slid to a halt, grabbed his head, and twisted it in place. Bahamut’s kick had twisted his head from his neck. Even the others were shocked by the two’s prowess, especially Rakia and Apollonia. They’d been on missions when the trials were happening, so they didn’t witness the battles of the two.

But this was better since they weren’t viewing them from a screen, but live. They could feel and see every impact and force from their attacks.

The man in black suddenly got into a weird stance. He raised his hands high up and clapped. The sound rang out like thunder, almost bursting their eardrums. A heavy pressure fell on them as the ground shook and rumbled.

Bahamut instantly shouted at Sel to jump.

Ren flashed to their position and stomped on the ground, the same instant rows of bone spikes jutted from the ground with a strong force, tearing the earth apart.

The bone spikes shot at Ren, only to be slashed apart by a golden light. Apollonia appeared above Ren with her wings glowing in a bright light, which made the man cover his eyes.

"Radiant Burst!"

Feathers made of light shot at the man, exploding upon contact. The ground cratered further from the attack, showing just how powerful the attack was. Apollonia’s eyes glowed with a golden light as she stared at the man’s position, when a wall of earth pushed them away.

The earth wall was destroyed and reduced to sand as the man in black appeared, unscathed. Apollonia’s attack had failed.

"Didn’t expect less..." she muttered in a cold voice.

The man just tilted his head as he chuckled.

"You are not worth it."

BANG!

A loud explosion rang out as Bahamut appeared beside him with a punch to his face. The man was sent flying again, but not too far, as Sel appeared in front of him with a cross-slash. A powerful slashing energy shot from the sword towards the man. He crossed his massive axe in front of him to block the attack, but it still sent him flying back.

Ren flashed just close to him with his leg ready. The moment the man appeared in his field of attack, he delivered a powerful kick, shooting him into a large tree beside the house, destroying it on impact.
