Chapter 617 - I'm home

"Jerk! Scumbag! Ugly Momo!" Churu shouted all insults she could ever think that exist in this world. She felt utterly aggravated by how Morris Liu never changed. He didn't even thank her, instead, he immediately asked if he's a dog!

Did he even consider that Churu needed to open the door? How could she open the door if Churu was holding a tray of food? She just wanted to feed him and make up with him because she was away babysitting Ethan. After all, Ethan's previous deals were rather dangerous.

Not life threatening though. But they're dangerous people, so Churu wanted to be sure despite the protection of Louis Lu prepared for his cousin. After all, if Ethan died, they knew what would happen. 𝗳𝔯𝙚e𝒘e𝚋𝘯𝚘ν𝙚l.𝑐o𝙢

Although there might be changes since Lincoln Lu and Dylan Lu were serving their time behind bars, it would devastate Lexi -- not to mention, the twins would be raised without a father. Furthermore, if Ethan died, Churu would need to vanish too! ;

In other words, her priority was Ethan's life because her time in this world was his life. So, she needed to finish her side tasks first; do good deeds which were giving a second chance at life for those lucky individuals for the sole entertainment of those angels and gods in the heavenly realm. Until her points of redeeming herself as an angel was finished, she needed to keep Ethan Lu alive.

Also, for the sole purpose of the happily ever after of this story. ;

While Churu threw a tantrum, thinking how inconsiderate and dense Morris Liu was, she failed to hear the faint knock from outside of the door. Slowly, the door creaked open as Morris Liu peeked inside.

"Huhu! He's so stupid! Idiot Mo! How can he be so cruel…!" Churu continued to cry, stomping her feet against the soft bed out of frustration.

Morris Liu who was seeing this sighed. 'She cries like a child.' He whispered internally, shaking his head sideways as she's akin to a child sometimes. However, Morris Liu didn't expect her to cry like this to release her frustration.

No, actually, he didn't expect anything from her. He expected that she wouldn't be frustrated or would have gone to Lexi's place. But no, she didn't. She stayed and was crying her heart out which seemed to clench his heart.

"I could have snuck in his sleep if I didn't care for him… what a heartless, stupid jerk!" In between her frustrated insults, Churu hiccupped, burying her face more against the pillow. ;

How rude to have these thoughts, but Morris Liu was a man. He had restrained the urges to smack her bottom earlier, but now, she made it more challenging for him more than ever. Not to mention, her previous remarks about caring for him, it moved him, sending ripples on his still as a lake heart. 𝒇𝑟e𝙚𝑤𝙚𝐛𝗻𝐨ν𝚎𝘭.c𝐨m

"That..!"

"Alvah," Before she could insult him further, Morris Liu softly called out. Churu jolted to the side upon the sound of his voice. However, as she did so, the apron disheveled, showing more than what was already exposed.

"What are you doing here?!" Churu gasped, forgetting that aside from the apron, she had nothing else that could cover her delicate body.

Morris sighed, grabbing the hem of the blanket and tossed the half of it over her head. "You're naked, again." He remarked, reminding her for the nth time that she was unclad, giving him the chance to see her in all of her glory.

Churu clipped his hand on the blanket, sliding it off until her head was not covered. She then used the blanket to cover her chest down. Because of her small figure, half of the blanket was enough to cover what needed to be covered.

"It's not like it's your first time seeing it." She murmured, looking away with a pout as she wiped the tears on the corner of her eyes.

Her words, although said under her breath, still reached his ears. "I'm still a man, Alvah." He recalled, looking at her side profile because she had her face on the other side.

For a moment, silence enveloped the room which made him frown and sighed once again. "I'm sorry." After taking a mouthful of gulp, Morris mustered his courage and apologized.

Obviously, that lone word made her shoulder stiffen. Churu looked back, her swollen ardent eyes widened, surprised as he apologized to her. "Chu?" She murmured.

Morris didn't speak immediately as he stared at those pair of argent orbs that were observing him. "I'm sorry, Al… and thank you." With a tone of sincerity, Morris expressed his heart. His gaze never left hers, gleaming with emotions only she could see.

"But, but you didn't eat yet." Churu drew the blanket closer to her chest, hiding half of her face in it as she bent her knees closer to her.

"No," He sighed, shaking his head lightly. "Thank you for coming back."He clarified, the side of his lips curled into a gentle smile. "Welcome home." He added, his jaw tightened as it took a large amount of confidence to say such words that might break with her response.

Once again, the two of them remained silent. "I'm home…" After a few minutes of silence, Churu whispered that made him sigh in relief and nod.

"Let's eat together, hmm?" He invited, offering his hand which Churu glanced upon and accepted after taking the courage to do so.
