The Soft-Hearted Wife of Mr. Big Shot-Chapter 158: Meticulous Attention to Detail
The food city in Arkenfall is bustling, much more lively than in Bexley, and the cuisine here is more abundant too.
Holly Sawyer, holding Leo Grant’s hand, strolled inside the food city, her face brimming with a joyful smile.
Having a loved one by her side and delicious food, Holly felt this was undoubtedly the happiest existence—she really liked this feeling and enjoyed it thoroughly.
"I think I should buy a house near the food city."
Leo glanced at Holly, his eyes full of gentle light.
Though he owned quite a bit of real estate, all were at some distance from the food city.
The little girl adored food so much, living near the food city would certainly be the best choice, allowing her to enjoy all kinds of delicacies just by stepping downstairs.
For those who love food, being able to eat delicious food every day would greatly increase their sense of happiness.
"There’s no need; it’s too noisy near the food city, you wouldn’t be able to sleep."
Holly shook her head and said.
She had bought a house near the food city before, and every day she opened the door she was greeted by various kinds of food, filling the air with fragrant aromas.
She really loved that feeling of seeing delicious food just by opening the windows, it was truly blessed.
However, nights were really noisy, there were too many night owls these days, lots of young people liked coming out at night to hunt for food.
People needed to work during the day, so many only had time at night, often preferring nighttime activities. The food streets at night were much more bustling than during the day.
Leo asked, "Where do you like?"
"Wherever you are."
Holly playfully blinked.
Before meeting Leo, she could tell what kind of place she liked, what kind of life she wanted.
After meeting Leo, all she knew was that where she lived and what she did was not that important. The important part was having Leo around her—that’s the best.
Leo tapped Holly’s nose, a smile tugging at the corners of his lips.
"Let’s go, let’s have some spicy hotpot, haven’t had it for a long time."
Holly pulled Leo towards a spicy hotpot restaurant.
She liked many kinds of food, it was hard to find something she didn’t like.
Leo nodded, "Sure."
"Is there anything special you want to eat?"
Holly kept putting things into the bowl. She was especially quick in stuffing her favorites into the bowl.
Almost done, Holly turned her head to look at Leo.
"Whatever you like to eat, I like."
Leo shook his head and slowly spoke.
He thought about catering to Holly’s tastes; no matter if he didn’t like something, he would try to like what Holly liked.
Holly blinked, and added a few more items based on Leo’s preferences.
The spicy hotpot was ready, steaming hot and placed on the table.
"Have you never tried it, brother?"
Holly blinked, she stared at Leo.
Well, when in Bexley she hadn’t gone with Leo to have spicy hotpot, maybe Leo hadn’t tried it, right?
"I haven’t."
Leo was particularly honest.
He hadn’t, so no need to deceive anyone.
"I’ll prepare the dipping sauce for you."
Holly got up to prepare the dipping sauce, Leo waited at the table.
The spicy hotpot restaurant was pretty crowded.
"Here."
Holly placed the prepared dipping sauce in front of Leo, blinked gently, soft voice.
Even if Leo hadn’t tried these things, it was okay. She would take him to try all sorts of delicious food later, letting him taste a wide range of cuisines.
"Will you teach me the trick? Next time, brother will prepare it for you, you just sit down and eat."
Leo looked at the dipping sauce in front of him, then looked up at Holly, speaking slowly.
Leo suddenly felt a sense of frustration, knowing nothing about culinary delights, unable to adequately cater to Holly’s tastes.
On the contrary, when she was dining, Holly would care for him.
"But then I’ll become a little useless thing."
Holly blinked gently, playfully looking at Leo.
If Leo completes everything, will she really just sit and wait to eat in the future?
"No worries, I’ll take care of you."
Leo extended a hand, gently ruffling Holly’s hair.
It was okay.
He wanted to perfect every detail.
He would hand Holly milk or yogurt after inserting a straw into it, hand her the bottle with the cap already unscrewed, hand her peeled and diced fruits, hand peeled shrimp to her...
He also wanted to prepare the dipping sauces for hotpot, spicy hotpot, and Haidilao for her.
His girl ought to be pampered, spoiling her to her heart’s content, allowing spontaneous sulking and playful tantrums.
"I’m a little rich lady too, you know."
Holly chuckled softly, blinking playfully with a face full of smiles while looking at Leo.
She had a little money stash of her own, never lacking in money matters, she had an ability to earn, owned companies, and had shares too.
"Save your money. Let’s keep it for world travels when we’re older. Now let’s use my money, or else we might find ourselves unable to move an inch for lack of funds."
Leo laughed, speaking half-seriously.
Since being with Holly, he had thought about the future, planning to give her the best possible.
"Sounds great."
"The dipping sauce is mixed like this..."
Holly’s mouth was opening and closing, sharing the recipe of the dipping sauce with Leo.
"Got it." Leo nodded, "Shall I have a go?"
He stood up intending to try it out, knowing at times that merely memorizing verbally wasn’t effective, practice was true wisdom.
"Sure."
Holly nodded, her gaze full of smiles watching Leo’s figure.
Holly indeed gave a lot to him, perfecting details in every aspect. If this wasn’t partiality, Holly wouldn’t know what is.
"Young lady, your boyfriend treats you really well."
The waitress tidied up the leftovers from the neighboring table, looking at Holly with full laughter and undisguised envy in her eyes.
Leo was handsome and gentle, doing well in attending to details.
He would pull out chairs for Holly, thoughtfully wipe the table in front of her with a tissue, unscrew bottle caps and hand them to her...
All the waitress could see, witnessing a straightforward display of affection.
True love does exist, it’s just that us "ordinary folks" don’t encounter it.
"He’s wonderful."
Holly’s lips curved into an especially sweet smile.
"Really enviable."
The waitress blinked, speaking with a grin.
The god-like looks of Leo and Holly, combined with such sweetness, make it impossible not to be envious. 𝕗𝕣𝐞𝐞𝘄𝐞𝚋𝚗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹.𝚌𝕠𝚖
"Thank you, here’s a candy for you."
Holly reached into her pocket and pulled out a handful of lollipops, handing them to the waitress, blinking playfully.
She was genuinely happy.
Being pleasantly surprised, the waitress accepted Holly’s candy, then put it into her pocket, her smile remaining bright.
