The Strongest Beast Tamer With the Strongest System-Chapter 13: Fire
While the entire world was in an uproar, Leonardo chose to sleep.
He even woke up later than usual due to how deeply he had slept. It was already noon when he finally got up, while Ellie—who seemed to have kept watch throughout the night—had just fallen into a deep sleep herself.
Since he now had a phone, the first thing he did was check it.
Social media was in chaos over the new gate that had appeared on Floor 1 of the Monster World.
Photos of the gate had spread everywhere—black in color, just like the key.
It was located in the center of Floor 1, within a forested area where the trees weren’t very tall but densely packed.
Many flying-type monsters lived there—the most troublesome kind for humans.
Naturally, the owl cry believed to be responsible for the Golden Golem’s death had gone just as viral, drawing even more attention to City Z due to the similar murder cases.
One thing that made Leonardo uneasy was a petition calling for all Awakeners in City Z and its surrounding areas to be gathered and examined one by one.
If that happened, the culprit would surely be found.
Fortunately, the Awakener Association didn’t seem to be taking the petition seriously.
After all, there were far too many Awakeners—how could they possibly check each one individually? It was ridiculous.
After checking his phone, Leonardo examined the black key he had placed on top of himself.
He wondered if there was any specific benefit to being its holder.
He didn’t believe that once the gate was opened, only the key holder could enter. Others would surely be able to go in as well—though perhaps with restrictions, like being limited to Floor 1’s level range.
’Before reaching Level 10, I won’t open it,’ he thought.
He then wondered where he should hide it for the time being. Carrying it constantly wasn’t an option.
As he looked around the apartment, he got an idea.
Whoosh!
He teleported the key directly into the wall.
Even through layers of concrete, it sank inside—moved there through teleportation.
’That should be safe for now,’ he thought.
After that, he went to another apartment to get some food.
He ate leisurely while waiting for today’s reward selection, still considering what kind of skill he should request for Ellie.
DING!
(You may add one talent or skill to your monster!)
The notification finally appeared as Leonardo was smoking.
(The strongest fire skill!)
He made his decision.
Even before awakening, this had always been his favorite type of power.
DING!
(An SS Class Skill, Abyssal Blackflame, has been added to Ellie!)
(Abyssal Blackflame: a skill that releases black flames infused with destructive power, which can be shaped into anything the user desires and can move independently once commanded!)
[Skill:]
Supreme Spatial Shift (SS Class Skill)
Requiem of the Silent Night (SS Class Skill)
Abyssal Blackflame (SS Class Skill)
(Boss!) Ellie’s voice echoed in his mind immediately.
She had clearly awakened the moment she received the new skill.
(Get up now. We’re heading to the Monster World to level up.) Leonardo replied.
(Boss... it’s still daytime.)
Ellie’s predator instincts were weaker during the day.
(There shouldn’t be any problems. You’re already Level 3 and SS Class, after all!)
As levels increased, the concept of being stronger or weaker at certain times became less significant.
However, her song still couldn’t be used during the day—Requiem of the Silent Night was time-bound, just as its name suggested.
After saying that, Leonardo teleported back to his apartment, grabbed Ellie by the legs, entered Invisible Mode, and left.
He headed to the final portal—entering the Monster World through the 12th Gate he had opened.
Now, it had become the most popular route due to its proximity to the Last Gate.
(Boss, let’s just kill humans!) Ellie said when she saw many Awakeners around.
Leonardo didn’t answer immediately.
He carried her to a quiet, safe location before returning to normal mode.
"You can choose your own targets. But remember—whether it’s monsters or humans, make sure you kill them without being seen by anyone. Always rely on your spatial connection to observe your surroundings," he instructed.
"Boss, aren’t you coming? It would be easier if you helped. If someone sees us, you could just kill them too," Ellie replied.
"I have other matters to attend to," Leonardo answered.
If he joined in, it would defeat the purpose of being a Beast Tamer.
A Beast Tamer did not fight—their monsters fought for them.
Meanwhile, they were free to roam and seek treasures.
He returned to Invisible Mode and left without another word.
In another secluded location, Leonardo threw the Crescent Moon Knife onto the ground.
It appeared the moment it separated from him—but remained connected to his mind due to their bond.
As soon as he threw it, it slowly floated back toward him and disappeared again when he caught it.
Leonardo smiled.
In Invisible Mode, he couldn’t attack—but he could still control anything linked to his mind.
This granted him a surprisingly formidable combat capability.
DING!
(Ellie has killed a Level 3 Awakener, obtaining 10 EXP!)
A notification suddenly appeared, causing Leonardo to freeze.
He admired Ellie’s efficiency. The black flames might be capable of incinerating enemies instantly.
But... only 10 EXP?
It seemed Ellie’s growing power meant she now had to fight higher-quality enemies to gain substantial EXP.
Still, Leonardo let her decide her own approach.
Slower progress didn’t matter—as long as it was safe.
DING!
(Ellie has killed two Level 3 Class C Monsters, obtaining 20 EXP!)
Another notification appeared shortly after—this time for two Class C Monsters.
As long as Ellie didn’t control them, she would still gain EXP from fighting them.
Just as Leonardo expected a pause—another notification suddenly appeared.
DING!
(Ellie has killed fifteen Level 3 Class C Monsters, obtaining 150 EXP!)
[EXP: 180/400]
