The Strongest Beast Tamer With the Strongest System-Chapter 72: Offer
"Why would the principal want to do that?" Leonardo asked, confused.
Was the principal jealous?
Of course, that was impossible.
Or was he supporting someone else to be with Margaret?
That didn’t seem likely either.
"Go meet him and you’ll find out. But you’d better not be influenced by what he says..." Margaret replied without explaining further.
Leonardo didn’t say anything more. He stood up and walked away.
He passed through the hallway toward the teachers’ office.
Coincidentally, in front of one of the second-year classrooms, he saw Levi Harvey.
Levi’s expression darkened slightly when he saw him.
Leonardo couldn’t help but stop—an idea suddenly forming in his mind.
"What is it?" Levi asked quietly, frowning.
"Do you have a girlfriend?" Leonardo asked in the same low voice.
"No. I don’t need a girlfriend or anything like that," Levi replied.
"Oh? Don’t you like women?"
"Damn it, I’m normal," Levi snapped.
"Then why don’t you need a girlfriend?"
"I don’t want to be bothered by something so pointless."
"I see. But your task from me is to court a woman and make her your girlfriend."
"What?" Levi’s eyes widened.
"Emma Smith, from my class. Court her—but don’t force anything."
After saying that, Leonardo walked away with a faint smile.
It wasn’t like he didn’t know what Emma wanted.
A handsome man—obviously.
Leonardo was the only one she dared approach because they were neighbors. She would never choose Jack since he was like family to her.
If someone like Levi—who was even more handsome than Leonardo—approached her, she would definitely be overjoyed, thinking her life had turned into an unreal dream.
This was just something Leonardo did on a whim.
He entered the teachers’ office.
It was spacious, with a large AC making it quite cold.
"Anderson, go right in!" the math teacher said, still waiting, gesturing for him to enter the principal’s office.
Leonardo nodded and walked toward the door, which wasn’t locked at all.
He pushed it open and saw a moderately sized room, somewhat messy with books and documents scattered around.
A neatly dressed middle-aged man sat casually behind the desk. He had brown hair and wore glasses that matched his calm expression.
Leonardo had met him before. When he awakened as a Beast Tamer, the principal had personally invited him to congratulate him.
Unfortunately, when the Harvey Family set their scheme against him, the principal couldn’t help at all.
"Anderson, come in!" the principal said with a friendly smile.
Leonardo stepped in, letting the door close behind him.
"Is there something you need, Mr. Perez?" Leonardo asked as he sat down after being invited.
"Anderson, I’ve heard people talking about you dating Margaret Harvey. Is that true?" the principal asked—just as Leonardo expected.
Even if they never said it outright, anyone could see it from how often they were together.
"Yes..." Leonardo replied quietly.
Denying it would only make him look childish.
"After everything that woman has done to you, you’re dating her... Have you become irrational just because of her beauty?"
"Principal, what do you mean?" Leonardo asked, feigning confusion.
"Have you not thought about it? Don’t you know the reputation of the Harvey Family? Do you really think that woman has fallen in love with you?"
Of course, Leonardo wasn’t foolish enough to believe that.
He entered this relationship for his own benefit—but he was also enjoying it.
"The Association Head told me about your extraordinary potential. You are expected to help the association in the future," the principal continued.
"I will naturally help the association if they need me, as long as it’s within my ability," Leonardo replied.
Of course, that was just polite talk.
He had already stolen from both Margaret and the Association—either side could become his enemy.
Still, the Association represented humanity. If there was truly a task, he would consider it—as long as it wasn’t too risky.
"No. The association will not trust you if you are connected to the Harvey Family."
Leonardo, "..."
"Anderson, choose. The association or the Harvey Family? If you choose the association, there is a task for you. If you complete it, you will receive a great reward—something even the Harvey Family cannot offer... something that allows you to merge with your monsters."
"What task is that, Principal?" Leonardo was genuinely shocked.
Merge with his monsters—that was legendary, but possible.
If achieved, a Beast Tamer could truly become the strongest.
"I cannot trust you just like that. If you truly want it, come to the association headquarters with me."
Leonardo, "..."
"Mr. Perez, what if I don’t want to?" Leonardo asked quietly.
At this point, he realized that the Harvey Family was likely being targeted by the association.
In this matter, the Harvey Family was indeed in the wrong—they had committed many crimes.
"That’s fine if that’s your choice. But I need to remind you—you will be deceived by that woman."
"You don’t need to worry about that... I understand the risks of my choice."
"Very well... I have high expectations for you. Don’t fall for the same thing twice... You may be confident in your abilities, but James Harvey is far more difficult to deal with than you think."
"Yes..." Leonardo simply nodded and left.
But his mind couldn’t help thinking seriously about the possibility of merging with his monsters.
When he reached his classroom, he saw Margaret already waiting at the door.
She stood there, looking at her phone.
"Finished?" she asked when she saw him.
"Yeah..." Leonardo nodded lightly.
Margaret studied his eyes carefully.
"What is it? You’re not suspicious of me, are you?" Leonardo asked with a strange expression.
"I would naturally have my concerns..." Margaret replied, flicking her hair.
"So, what did the principal say?" she asked next.
The answer to this question might determine whether she would become suspicious or not.
If he wasn’t honest—or worse, didn’t answer at all—this woman would likely think he had been swayed by the principal.
"You should already know..." Leonardo replied.
"I mean, what did he offer you?"
"Something very tempting, of course..." Leonardo answered in a teasing tone.
