The System Sent Me to Breed an All-Female Amazon Tribe-Chapter 220: Elemental Stones and Attributes II
[A water user could have wind too, and if they were exceptionally lucky, could even have lightning. A fire user could more easily use lightning than a water user ever could, and if they were fortunate, they might also wield earth. The same holds true for earth attributes: they could use fire more easily than water or wind.
[Many powerful people possess all attributes in some capacity, but it’s always a matter of percentages—which one dominates and pulls the others along. Having a high percentage in fire will naturally attract more lightning and earth, but it will suppress water and wind almost entirely.
[I myself am like that,] she added, [majoring heavily on wind (90%), lightning (75%), and water (88%). My fire attribute is only 29%, and my earth attribute is a mere 15%. Additionally, everyone, without exception, is divided into either light or dark at their core—even if some rare individuals can technically use both forces, they are still fundamentally aligned with one or the other. Never truly both.
[Now, this is completely different from realistically creating an Elemental Stone,] she emphasized. [Even I can only create a wind Elemental Stone, and I only learned how to do that around a century ago—after I had already been practicing magic for over four hundred years.
[Attempting to create even a single water Elemental Stone would make crafting a wind one extremely difficult for me afterward. And I am considered the greatest fairy mage to ever walk Elyndor, thanks to my unmatched natural talent for magic.
[If even I cannot do it, then practically no life form whatsoever could create even two Elemental Stones in their entire lifetime. Even Lotus, the legendary mage everyone reveres, has only ever mastered earth and fire Elemental Stones. That was precisely why I immediately dismissed your stones as mere mimics or illusions. A human being, even an Arch human at the peak of their potential, might manage two in a lifetime... but at least, never eight.
[Having eight should not even be possible. Does that not mean you are treating something as conceptual as "light and darkness" as real, tangible elements too? Benjamin, light and dark attributes are so inherent, so fundamental to a being’s very existence, that one might never actively use them... ever. If someone were to create a darkness Elemental Stone even once in their entire life, bards would write songs about them and sing those ballads for generations. Such a feat is nothing short of a miracle! An impossibility made manifest.]
Isabelle’s paleness began to return slowly, creeping back across her fair features like frost spreading over glass.
Her grip on my shirt tightened, her fingers curling deeper into the fabric as though anchoring herself against a sudden gust of wind only she could feel.
[How come you can create both a darkness Elemental Stone and a light Elemental Stone?] she asked, her tone trembling faintly even through the link. [Does that not mean that somehow... you actually are a being of light and darkness simultaneously? That is not just impossible—I don’t even have a term for what that would be. Darkness and light cannot merge like that. They are opposites, eternal enemies at the root of existence.
[And not only making two Elemental Stones in your lifetime, you made eight... all of them at once, so easily, and then you discarded them without hesitation. When we actually keep our stones forever, treasuring them as extensions of our soul, you just destroyed yours. Which I take to mean... you can keep making them... whenever you wish. What term do I refer to this?]
"Benjamin," she switched back to physical speech, regaining a measure of composure even as her voice wavered slightly, "you basically told me that there is little that is impossible for you to do."
She paused, drawing a slow breath that I could feel against my shoulder.
"And it feels to me as though I’m standing with Goddess Elyndor herself. It’s making my spine tremble. I love you indeed, more than I can express, but please, my love, give me time to process this. I swear to you, this information could send a human scholar to their grave from the mere shock alone."
"...Oh... Uhm... I didn’t notice..."
I could not come up with a comeback.
The weight of her words settled over me like cold water, and all I could do was veer my head back toward the six titans I had just "killed."
But they were already reforming.
Grey flesh bubbled upward from the steaming craters where the Elemental Stones had detonated.
The punctures in their necks and chests sealed slowly... too slowly at the onset, then faster as tendrils of clay-like material knitted back together.
Their bald heads lifted, golden glows flickering back to life in their featureless faces.
Their arms pushed against the ground, bodies rising inch by inch, the faint otherworldly keening replaced now by low, wet grinding sounds as they pulled themselves upright once more.
These guys weren’t dead, not even a little dead.
Ah, but about the Elemental Stones, that explains a lot.
Lotus always clapped for me with genuine delight and kissed my forehead whenever I successfully pulled off one of the tricks she taught me;
Her eyes would light up with that rare, proud sparkle she usually kept hidden behind her stern monk facade.
But looking back, she always did sweat noticeably before those moments, her hands trembling slightly as she wiped her brow, and once she even yelped out a desperate "Enough! That’s enough, Benjamin!" before catching herself mid-sentence. 𝘧𝘳𝘦ℯ𝓌𝘦𝒷𝘯𝑜𝑣𝘦𝓁.𝒸𝘰𝓂
She switched instantly to full monk mode—straight-backed, voice calm and measured—telling me "You still have a long way to go," as though nothing unusual had happened at all.
I thought she was just being awkward in her own cute, adorable way, flustered by how quickly I picked things up.
But was I startling her too?
Had my casual displays of unbelievable power been making her heart race for reasons beyond pride?
That liar... she told me straight to my face that she had thousands of Elemental Stones when I managed to create the five I could back then.
She said it so casually, like it was no big deal.
But c’mon, I myself must be an idiot; how come there weren’t thousands of different elements in existence, but she claimed thousands of Elemental Stones? It never added up until now.
