The Top Omega Hunter Wants a Quiet Life [BL]-Chapter 189: Ch : The Final Dungeon- Part 5
"Ace, are you alright? There is no way you can go out in your current condition. Hurry up and rest for now. Someone, bring us a glass of water—"
Rhiner immediately ordered, but I pushed him back. My body hurt, but I still knew what I had to do. I felt my body forcing itself to move, and no one walked toward me to try and stop me.
They watched as I reached the door, and then Lynn reacted. He tried to reach me, but it was too late.
"This dungeon is much more dangerous than we expected, so I want you all to leave now. From here on, this is my fight."
I told them all, but Lynn gritted his teeth and quickly tried to get in front of me.
"Why decide that? I won’t accept your reasoning and leave you alone to fight. No matter how strong you are, you are still an omega. And as an alpha, I will protect you till the end—"
Lynn went down as I suddenly increased the pressure he was under. He looked at me with wide eyes, wondering what I was doing. But I cared nothing for the betrayed look on his face or how he felt at that moment.
All I knew was that he was in my way, and I needed to push past him and head outside.
"I am sorry. But I have decided that I want to move forward and end this. If you stand in my way, then you are my enemy. And I have no mercy for my enemy."
I told Lynn, but my message was for everyone present around me. This was a warning for them not to interfere with me.
Most of the people got that warning and stepped back. But Lynn was stubborn. Despite the pressure he was under, he forced himself back to his feet and glared at me.
"I... refuse to go down like this. I will follow you, even if I have to break myself. You won’t be able to get rid of me so easily."
Those determined eyes were looking at me. They were making me weak, and I bit my lips. I tried to speak, but words wouldn’t escape my mouth. That was because of the fire I saw in Lynn’s eyes.
In the end, all I could do was look away as he faced me. I had no other choice but to give in.
’Tsk, I hate how soft-hearted I am. I need to say no, but I...’
"Very well. If you are going to be a fool and follow me, then you should be prepared to lose your life in the process as well. Do not say that I did not warn you."
I told Lynn before I walked out. He followed me not even seconds later.
Rhiner and Lee Minho looked at me as well, and for a minute, I felt like they would follow me out as well. But they never followed me out.
Instead, they turned to help others leave. That made a burden lighten on my heart.
"Ace... no, Kyle, I am sure that I have told you this before, but I want to repeat myself. I fell in love with you, and I want to spend my whole life with you. That is not a lie. But I also know that you don’t love me the same way I love you, and you have your own priorities here. So you don’t have to respond to my feelings or feel bound by them."
"Just, let me accompany you. Even if this is the last moment of us on this earth, I want to be with you during it."
The alpha told me, but I felt too numb to respond to him.
He knew that as well, so he just smiled at me before he walked in front of me. I followed him, my mind a mess.
But I knew that I needed to speak back to him and give him an answer to his words. Even if it was rejection from my side, I wanted to respond to Lynn.
Something in me told me that we both wouldn’t make it out of here alive. And this time, I wanted to have no regrets.
"Lynn, I have no idea why you or the others like me. I am not charming or sweet like other omegas. In fact, I am annoying and speak too much. But since you like me, I just want you to do one thing for me—do not die. Just do not die."
I told Lynn, and he grinned back at me. His grin was huge and covered his whole face.
"Don’t worry. I won’t—"
Something pierced Lynn’s chest, and his eyes widened in shock. One second, he was just fine, and the next, he was injured beyond comparison.
My eyes widened, and my body moved on auto.
I concentrated my power to form a jellyfish familiar and sent it toward Lynn. The jellyfish caused a huge explosion, and Lynn was suddenly free. He gripped his chest as he tried to breathe, but pain assaulted his senses.
"Lynn, don’t fall asleep. You need to keep yourself awake so that I can give you first aid."
I told him, but Lynn looked exhausted. He fought to keep his eyes open, but it was impossible for him.
In the end, his eyes closed, and his chest stopped breathing. He was slowly fading away, and I felt like my mind was breaking.
I wanted to clutch my hair and pull them out. But even that felt impossible to do. I could not move because I felt frozen in place.
And then my body finally moved, and I slammed my hand on Lynn’s chest. He gasped, his body jerking in my hold, and I did it again... and again... and once more till he gasped out loud and his eyes widened.
His unseen eyes looked at me, and I continued, now including small shocks in my attempts to wake him up.
I was not going to let Lynn die that easily.
