The Top Omega Hunter Wants a Quiet Life [BL]-Chapter 191: Ch : Do What you Want - Part 2
There was a whole second of silence where nothing happened. I waited for the female to attack and she waited for us to do something as well.
But she quickly got tired of waiting for us and decided to take matters in her own hand. She snapped her fingers and at the last second, I was able to defend myself and Lynn by forming a barrier around us with my familiars.
The jellyfish familiars took the attack, allowing for us in the center to not be harmed.
This did not please Rina, because she looked annoyed at our defense and started to use even greater power to push us back.
The more power Rina used, the equal force I had to use to push her back as well. It was a two-way fight with us both pushing each other back.
"It’s all useless. In this domain, you will never win, human. You should stop trying and save yourself the headache..."
Rina suggested as she increased the strength behind her attack. Her sudden increase in power took me aback and I grabbed Lynn to pull him out of the way before that attack reduced us to bits.
The attack caused the ground to burn before it started to fizzle out. It had not been an ordinary attack, but one made deliberately to end our lives.
"Can you see it now? There is no end to this fight except my victory. Now, give up and come with me. I will show you what you can do to be useful to us..."
I exploded a small familiar near her ear and the sudden sound startled the female enough to make her let her guard down.
She quickly clutched her ear but that distraction was enough for me to lunge at her with my weapon and harm her neck.
"Y-You—!"
Rina yelled as she clutched her now bleeding wound. She looked disoriented and I scoffed at her.
"See what this human scum can do to you? Are you still going to underestimate us humans?"
I asked and Rina’s temper flared every second.
"I tried to give you all a chance. But maybe you don’t deserve it. Even our master has given up on you now. Look, he’s not defending you anymore—"
Rina spoke, only to get trapped in a golden light from the dungeon. She tried to move but the light made her unable to do that.
She looked puzzled for a second before her expression eased and she let out a laugh.
"Well, looks like it no longer matters what I want anyway. You are already too late to stop our lord. Everything is going to be rewritten to how it should be now."
The female assured as she stepped back. The light slowly disintegrated her form and she was no more.
I felt puzzled at her decision, but I had bigger fish to fry here—like this light that was starting to dissolve the dungeon.
It was swallowing everything it touched and I quickly turned toward Lynn.
"Head out and get others to safety. I will keep moving forward—"
"No way. Everyone else can take care of themselves. I promised you that I would see the end with you and I intend to keep it."
Lynn told me, only for me to smack his head.
"Don’t be stupid. Your life should be your first priority, not your promise with me. Remember that you have other people depending on you as well."
"But they are not you. You saved my life, so I want to be able to repay you for that. Please, allow me that much."
Lynn asked as he grabbed my hand. The light swallowed us before I could tell him to fuck off. Well, that was one decision out of my hand here.
The light slowly faded away and I found myself in a beautiful garden with nothing around. Lynn was not too far away, but unlike me, he was frozen and his eyes seemed lost in a dream.
Not too far away, I could see Rina as well. She looked happy as she dreamed and the world felt calm and serene, almost as if there was no problem here.
I took a step toward Lynn once more when I felt a hand lightly touch my arm.
I shivered and turned around to see who it was that touched me, only to see no one there. Goosebumps made my body shiver as I brought my breath under control.
"Are you scared? Don’t be. This is all necessary to create the world that we want. You should embrace it with happiness."
Theo’s familiar voice spoke and I turned around to check whether he was behind me or not. But there was no one behind me.
’Weird... where did he go—’
I questioned, only to take a step back and a pair of arms wrapped around my middle. A solid grip tightened around me and I blinked and looked up at a pair of familiar eyes.
"Hello Kyle. Did you miss me? You cannot imagine how much I have missed you. I wish we could be together all the time, but alas, that is not our fate... at least for now. But I am doing my best to correct that—"
I tried to jerk away from Theo’s grip with an angry expression. But I was not able to do that easily. The grip on my arms loose yet commanding at the same time. It bound me to the alpha holding me.
"Let go of me—"
I demanded and Theo just chuckled at my struggle.
"If you want to break free, then you can easily do that. Just admit it, you do not want to break free from me. My arms are where you belong."
Theo asked me and I felt speechless at his words.
"That is not what I—"
Another pair of arms wrapped around my middle and I immediately snapped my eyes down to check who it was and smack those arms away.
But Theo’s familiar face looked back at me with a sad smile on it.
