The Trending Topic Herself: The Villainess is the Superstar!-Chapter 141: Do You Have What It Takes?
"First it was Ethan Grant, then it was Leo Lancaster, and I heard you still can’t forget my brother... Probably more than just these few people, right? So, you’re showing affection to so many people simply because you genuinely like them?"
Eric Rowe clapped his hands, looked down, and said, "Remarkable. If it weren’t for a lawful and harmonious society, I’d suggest you start a harem, surround yourself with hotties to fulfill your dream. But..."
He smirked as if mocking her, "Do you really have what it takes?"
Kiki Monroe could hardly control her expression. She had never been humiliated like this; Eric Rowe was practically pointing at her and scolding her harshly.
Her gaze turned fierce instantly, "What does it have to do with you?!"
If Kiki usually presented herself as a flirt, it would be one thing, but she insisted on showcasing a pure and gentle image.
Every word Eric Rowe said pierced her heart. Kiki could feel her most vulnerable parts being constantly excavated.
"Do you think I enjoy watching your dirty drama? If it weren’t for the trouble you keep causing my sister-in-law, do you think I’d willingly speak to you?"
"Aren’t you bored? Every time, you run to my sister-in-law seeking attention!"
Kiki Monroe paused, "Maya... Didn’t expect you’d protect her like this?"
She didn’t even call her "sister" and spoke with a vicious tone.
"My sister-in-law is my brother’s wife, an indispensable member of the Rowe Family. We’re family, so of course, I side with her! Moreover, my sister-in-law has impeccable behavior, straightforward and unlike your hypocrisy!"
"She’s taught me a lot about the ways of the world. How could someone as two-faced as you make her uncomfortable?!"
Kiki’s face turned ugly, "What right do you have to criticize me here? You’re just a spoiled rich kid. If it weren’t for the Rowe Family’s money, do you think you could even stand here and talk to me? What right does a nepotism kid have to talk to me?"
"Nepotism? Have you forgotten how you got your role? Do you mean to say your role came from a legitimate audition?"
Kiki was choked, "That’s different. I was introduced by the director, how can that be considered nepotism? Moreover, I have the talent! The director recognized my talent!"
"Are you so sure I bought my way in? So sure I have no talent at all?"
The two questions left Kiki speechless. Her expression tensed, and a vicious glint flashed in her eyes.
Eric suddenly laughed, but his voice carried malice, "So many people are watching. Who knows if there’s a sneaky paparazzo? Better control your expression, big star! Lest your image collapses and you lose all your fans!"
Kiki continued to glare furiously at him, but quickly forced a smile.
Eric gave a cold smile, then turned and left.
Tiffany Lawson walked over, her gaze flicking around, "That was Eric Rowe just now? Did you two have a conflict?"
Kiki had already gained confidence with many directors looking favorably on her, and she wasn’t as reverent in front of Tiffany as she once was.
She straightened her back a bit, completely rid of her earlier agitation, and even wore a somewhat smug expression, "Yes, so what?"
Tiffany frowned, noticing the changes in Kiki.
Kiki used to be a simple, obedient girl with a soft and weak demeanor. But now, she suddenly carried an air of arrogance.
"It’s best not to clash with Eric Rowe, given his family’s backing."
Kiki turned to her and coldly chuckled, "What do you mean by that? Are you saying no matter how he bullies me, I should just take it?"
"They can oppose me all they want, but soon they’ll regret it, because... everyone who opposes me in this world never ends well!"
Tiffany choked, not knowing where her confidence and certainty came from.
Kiki calmly adjusted her hair, her face reverting to its usual gentle and pure smile, like a daffodil.
"I’ve come to terms now. I won’t be as weak as before. Everyone who bullies me will fall into ruin, and all those I like will end up in my grasp..."
The gleam in her eyes grew more intense. 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖

"Maya Monroe, it’s best not to snack on sunflower seeds while doing makeup. Your hand movements are too much, affecting the makeup results."
Ryan Spencer, standing nearby, immediately shot a cold glance.
"Oh..." Maya responded, placing the sunflower seeds on the table, then grabbed a piece of corn candy and popped it into her mouth.
The makeup artist, with a brush still in her right hand, paused, "Maya, you can’t eat the candy either."
Maya frowned slightly, but under Ryan’s gaze, she chewed quickly and swallowed it.
She sighed, "You guys are quite particular with this makeup."
Then, she popped a piece of cotton candy into her mouth.
The makeup artist was instantly at a loss for words. Public opinions on Maya varied. But seeing her openly snacking was quite endearing.
Ryan couldn’t help himself and took the package from her, "You can’t eat while doing makeup."
The makeup artist nodded, noticing Maya’s longing gaze at the package in Ryan’s hand. Her tone softened a bit, "Eating influences my work, and the final makeup result too."
Maya’s eyes were still on the package in Ryan’s hand, "I’m already so pretty; a quick touch-up should be fine, right?"
Other artists would go to great lengths to request the makeup artist to make them more beautiful since many rely on their looks. Like Alisa Shelby, known for her beauty, she always brought her professional makeup team for meticulous grooming, regardless of the event size.
But a laid-back artist like Maya, willing to compromise makeup for a few extra snacks, was truly rare.
Ryan stretched, sitting on the rocking chair beside Maya. Knowing she responds better to gentleness, he said, "It’s almost over. After filming, I’ll take you for hotpot and bubble tea."
Initially, Ryan tried to control Maya’s diet, but after realizing he couldn’t, he just let it be.
The makeup artist was surprised at their exchange.
Maya seriously pondered for about half a minute, as if she’d encountered a significant issue.
Finally, she nodded, "Hotpot and bubble tea, deal!"
Ryan sighed in relief, glancing at the cotton candy package in his hand, which had a cute cartoon bunny on it. He looked disdainful and tossed it on the table in front of him.
"You’re an adult, still eating kid stuff."
