The Tyrant Is A Little Bit Kind-Chapter 85: Buy Gifts
Chapter 85: Buy Gifts
(Third Person POV)
"Everyone else may leave—except you."
Orlax gestured to the store manager, signaling the others to return to their duties.
"I want you to show me the finest pieces of jewelry you have."
"Of course, Your Majesty. Please, follow me."
The manager walked toward one of the shelves in the store and brought out several small jewelry cases.
"First, we have these bracelets. They’re made of gold and encrusted with 100% pure diamonds. This is an extremely rare piece, with only a few copies existing in the entire world."
He opened the first case and revealed a stunning golden bracelet adorned with multiple diamonds. It was beautiful, but Orlax didn’t seem impressed.
"Not bad. Show me more."
The manager nodded and opened the second case, which contained a pair of earrings.
"These earrings were crafted by a renowned artisan three hundred years ago. They were originally an heirloom of a noble family, but they abandoned them seventy years ago, and they eventually ended up in our hands."
Orlax examined them for a moment before shifting his gaze to the third box.
"Show me the last one."
The manager opened the final case, revealing a silver necklace with a deep red gem in its center. It was so captivating that it immediately drew Orlax’s attention.
"This necklace is one of the rarest pieces in the world. That red gem is an exceptionally unique magical stone. Only three exist in the world—and fortunately, we own all of them."
The manager spoke with immense pride as he lifted the necklace to show off the gem.
’This stone... It looks familiar. It resembles the one I saw in that strange temple. It even gives off the same feeling.’
Orlax took the necklace from the manager’s hand and gently touched the red stone.
As soon as his fingers made contact with it, a wave of warmth and comfort washed over him.
’It’s definitely the same one.’
"You said you own the others too, right? Bring them here."
"Of course. Just a minute."
The manager rushed to the back of the store and returned shortly with two small boxes. When he opened them, they revealed two necklaces identical to the one Orlax was holding, except for the color of their gems.
"Huh? What is this?"
The manager leaned in, seemingly confused.
"What’s wrong?"
"The stones... Their colors have changed. They were all red before. But now—look."
Orlax looked at the other two necklaces. One now had a blue stone, and the other a black one.
’Hehehe... Are you trying to make me buy these stones? I don’t know who you are or why you’re doing this—but I’ll play along and see where this leads.’
"I’ll take all the jewelry you showed me. That includes the three necklaces, the bracelet, and the earrings."
The manager’s eyes widened in shock. Just one of those items could’ve made him rich—and now he was selling them all. His heart pounded violently.
"Of course! Of course, I’ll pack them up for you immediately, Your Majesty!"
Orlax stood and waited as the manager carefully wrapped each piece and handed them over to Alex, who stood silently nearby.
"Alright. Let’s head back to the palace."
Alex nodded and followed Orlax, carrying everything they had just bought.
"Thank you for your visit, Your Majesty!"
Orlax waved to the manager and staff who were bidding him farewell before getting into his car.
"Shall we go on a little outing before heading home, Sera? What do you think?"
Orlax spoke to Sera, who was sitting on his lap as he sat behind the steering wheel.
"Yay! Let’s go for a ride!"
"Alright, alright. Let’s get going."
He started the engine, drawing the attention of everyone on the street—the car was clearly extremely expensive.
Vroooom! Vroooom!
The car sped through the capital streets. Most vehicles tried to avoid it—one scratch on that car could cost someone their home.
Sera, sitting on his lap, watched the city excitedly, full of energy.
After about an hour of driving, they finally decided to return home and end their little trip.
"Did you enjoy it, Sera?"
"Yes! It was so much fun! Thank you for taking me with you, Daddy!"
She hugged him tightly with a bright smile that warmed his heart.
"You’re welcome."
He carried her in his arms and entered the palace.
They climbed to the second floor and walked into a room next to his own. But finding it empty, Orlax wondered where its owner was.
"Maybe she’s out there."
He left the room, closed the door behind him, and made his way to the backyard, where the training grounds were located.
Boom!
The sounds of battle could be heard even from afar.
As soon as he opened the door to the training grounds, he saw two figures moving at incredible speed.
"Hahaha! You’re really good!"
One of them, with red hair and golden eyes, said cheerfully, holding a medium-length sword in her right hand.
On the other side was a girl with black hair and red eyes, staring calmly while holding a black sword made of shadows.
They stood at a distance, watching each other cautiously.
Swoosh!
Suddenly, both disappeared and reappeared in the center of the field.
Clang!
Their swords collided, sparks flying from the impact.
Riana was pushed back several steps, while Elena remained firmly in place.
"You’re really good. If we were equal in strength, I would’ve lost just now."
Elena praised her, excitement gleaming in her eyes.
"Thank you."
Riana advanced again, raising her sword high.
Elena raised her blade to block, but her eyes suddenly widened, and she leapt back quickly.
Boom!
A massive crater, more than five meters wide, formed where Elena had just stood.
"Tsk. That was close."
Riana clicked her tongue, disappointed her strike had missed, while Elena looked on in surprise.
Just moments ago, Elena had seen the attack coming and prepared to block it. But as Riana got closer, her form suddenly split into multiple figures—making it impossible to tell where the real attack was coming from.
At first, Elena thought it was an illusion—but based on the impact, it clearly wasn’t.
It was far more than an illusion. Every copy of Riana carried an attack equivalent to half a master’s strength. With so many appearing at once, her attack reached the level of a full master.
"That was seriously impressive. You have techniques far beyond your current level."
Elena’s sword vanished, sinking back into her shadow.
"Hah, I’ll defeat you next time."
Riana sheathed her sword and wiped the sweat from her brow.
Clap! Clap! Clap!
They turned toward the sound of applause—it was Orlax.
"That was an excellent duel."
Orlax nodded, clearly impressed, while Sera sat on his shoulders, pulling his hair and watching the girls in awe.
"Wow! That was amazing! You were like whoosh! then fwoosh! and then—"
"Alright, alright, calm down and breathe a little."
Orlax gently stopped her, worried she’d faint from holding her breath too long.
"Hahaha! Looks like we had an audience we didn’t notice. I hope the show was entertaining."
Riana bowed gracefully, placing her right hand on her left shoulder and stepping back with a slight tilt of her head.
"It was fine."
"You were amazing, Mom!"
Riana smiled and took Sera into her arms.
"Right? How about I teach you to fight like me someday?"
"What the hell are you saying? She’s only two years old. Let her learn to walk first."
Orlax crossed his arms, clearly annoyed.
"Come on, I didn’t mean now. But she’ll need to learn to defend herself eventually."
"She doesn’t need to. I’ll protect her. She won’t need to hold a sword or learn magic."
Sera curiously watched them as they spoke.
"You won’t always be around to protect her. What if something happens to you or you disappear one day? Who will protect her then?"
Orlax fell silent, deeply considering the truth in her words.
"Sight,You’re right. But... I just don’t want Sera to walk that path. I don’t want her hands stained with blood."
He gently ruffled her hair as Riana looked at him helplessly.
"You walk that path... yet you don’t want her to? You’re strange."
"Power isn’t as glorious as you think, Riana. You’ll understand when you reach our level."
The one who spoke was Elena, who had been quietly observing from the side.
"Oh, come on. Both of you reached this level and now say power isn’t good? Then why did you choose this path in the first place?"
"Life forced us into it. It’s that simple." fгeewёbnoѵel_cσm
"We’re not like you. You want strength because you love it. We never had that choice."
Elena and Orlax spoke in turn, making Riana furrow her brows.
"Life really is unfair... I’m the one who wants power, and I don’t have it. You two hate it—and yet you do, tsk".
Riana clicked her tongue as she turned her head to the side in annoyance.
"Okay, okay, enough talk. Let’s go eat."
