The Unveiling of Secret Queen-Chapter 1412: Competition Day
Sadam Vinson: ...
Sadam Vinson was just left speechless, utterly at a loss.
He couldn’t be bothered to argue with this group of people, so he looked at his phone again, where a private message from Nadya Tucker had popped up.
[Nadya Tucker: Mr. Vinson, I heard someone say that Ms. Zachmann recognized a very impressive godmother, and the Zachmann Family is planning a recognition event. I’m worried this is targeted at Ms. Quinlan. Could you help me inform Amadeus about it?]
Caryn Zachmann is going to recognize a godmother?
Sadam Vinson was a bit stunned, unsure of what Caryn Zachmann was planning.
He shared Nadya Tucker’s concern.
His first reaction was that Caryn Zachmann might be targeting Nathalie Quinlan.
He collected his thoughts silently for a moment, first replying to Nadya Tucker, instructing her not to spread it outside before forwarding the WhatsApp screenshot she sent him to Amadeus Yancey.

The next day.
Competition day.
The weather in McKinney was clear, the sky as blue as a sheet of blue paper, with a few thin white clouds seemingly melted by the sun, slowly drifting along with the wind.
Nathalie Quinlan arrived at the competition venue at nine.
After greeting Amadeus Yancey and the others, they all went their separate ways.
Sadam Vinson and the others went to the audience area.
Nathalie Quinlan then proceeded to the background area with Jackson Wafford and Leo Dunn to make preparations.
Each country’s contestants had their own private lounge, and Nathalie Quinlan also had a designated lounge.
Her lounge wasn’t big; besides a sofa, it contained only a dressing table for makeup and a water dispenser.
She didn’t stay long in the lounge before Leo Dunn came over to find her, saying he wanted to introduce her to people from the international IT association.
She temporarily left her things in the lounge, grabbed her phone and duckbill cap, and went out.
...
Shortly after she left, a slender figure appeared backstage.
Ghania Quinlan communicated with the staff, who then let her in.
She walked down the back corridor, searching room by room for where Nathalie Quinlan might be.
Finally, she saw Nathalie Quinlan’s name on the door of the second-to-last room backstage.
Tsinghua University Nathalie Quinlan.
Ghania Quinlan stood at the door, raising her head to see the nameplate perfectly affixed, the words ’Tsinghua University’ deeply piercing her eyes.
She lowered her eyelashes, her hands at her sides clenched into fists, hesitating at the door for a few seconds before raising her hand to knock on the door.
"Knock knock."
The first time she knocked, no one opened the door.
Ghania Quinlan’s face turned pale, her watery eyes unable to hide the humiliation.
She took a deep breath and raised her wrist again to knock on the door.
This time, she smartened up, weakly calling out: "Sis, are you there? It’s me."
When Ghania Quinlan knocked, she used force, partly out of stifled resentment and partly fearing Nathalie Quinlan would pretend not to hear her.
Unexpectedly, a forceful knock caused the lounge door to creak open in front of her.
Ghania Quinlan was momentarily taken aback.
She paused before realizing the door hadn’t been properly closed.
Uncertain of the situation inside, Ghania Quinlan took a deep breath, pushed the door open, and stepped inside, speaking as she did.
"I want to talk to you."
Upon entering, Ghania Quinlan noticed the lounge was empty.
Her words came to an abrupt halt, surprised that Nathalie Quinlan wasn’t inside.
Ghania Quinlan had come specifically to find Nathalie Quinlan to talk, hoping she’d be lenient and give her a break, but she ended up disappointed.
She was about to turn and leave when her peripheral vision suddenly caught sight of the black backpack Nathalie Quinlan had left on the dressing table before she went out.
