Chapter 242 – the affirmation of Lin Yiyi and Lu Xun’s relationship! (1)

When the Lin’s mansion returned to the silence of the night, everybody was sound asleep except for Boss Lu.

It was only after he had showered and laid down in the room that was not as spacious as his own – in fact, it was a little on the crammed side – that he was finally able to calm down and recall what had happened today.

What had happened today?

Why was he so excited just recalling his memories?

Oh, that’s right. The two of them had held hands! (No, you held hers one-sidedly (￢_￢))

It was the first time that he noticed that a woman’s hand could be so delicate and wonderful. It was so soft and smooth.

He had certainly shaken hands with women in the business context before but they were nowhere close to what he had felt today!

The soft, delicate, and slightly chilled to the touch hand blew away the burning sensation in his palm like a breeze and made his heart itched.

Even though he had already showered and rubbed his hands many times, that feeling was still popping up from time to time.

Lying in bed, Lu Xun tossed and turned in bed all night long.

He was the first to wake up in the house the next day.

He got up even earlier than Housekeeper Zhang, an old lady who didn’t need much sleep!

When Lin Yiyi went downstairs, she saw the hectic situation inside of the kitchen and Housekeeper Zhang standing by the entrance. Housekeeper Zhang wanted to go in to help but didn’t quite dare.

“Let me.”

She had already seen Lu Xun standing half a meter from the pan with eggs frying inside and sizzling oil coming out of it along with toast that were already burnt.

Taking the spatula from Lu Xun, she quickly scooped the eggs out and started rinsing some rice.

“We are having fish porridge today.”

The porridge needed to be soaked for an hour first.

She was up early and it was only 5:01 AM right now.

She just didn’t expect Lu Xun to get up even earlier than her.

Boss Lu, too, was embarrassed that all he could make successfully was two slices of burnt toast after all the time that he had spent in the kitchen. “I have never cooked before.”

Lin Yiyi gave him an odd look.

She knew all along that he didn’t know how to cook.

He even had a bet with Meng Yuran the other day!

“But, I will learn!” said Boss Lu.

Outside of the mansion, the sky was just starting to light up but the lights were very bright inside of the kitchen.

The bright lights beating down on Lu Xun made the household clothes that were not a good fit for him look ridiculous,

There was a kind of incongruent cuteness to it!

Lin Yiyi busted out laughing. “Where did you get the clothes from?”

Lu Xun looked down at himself and looked a tad embarrassed.

“I think they belonged to Lao Gu, Houser Zhang brought them to me.”

“Unfitting” wasn’t even the right word for it. He was the type with long arms and legs. One could imagine how comical he looked with a large part of his arms and legs showing.

He wanted to turn and looked at the kitchen entrance but Housekeeper Zhang had the foresight to sneak away before then.

“There are dark circles under your eyes.”

Lin Yiyi studied him carefully. “You didn’t get a good night’s sleep?”

Lu Xun, “……”

How would he be able to get a good night’s sleep!

He tossed and turned all night long, alright?

But, come to think about it, being able to stay over, it was well worth it even if his sleep quality was bad.

Even though it wasn’t the suggestive definition of “staying over”…

Boss Lu rubbed his hands together and was excited to get started, “What else are you going to do? I can be your assistant.”

This man had never cooked before. Given how pampered he was growing up, he never had the need to either. That being said, him being able to bring it up and had gotten up so early to make breakfast, there was something to be said about it… Even though he accomplished nothing in the end!

Lin Yiyi didn’t want to disappoint him. She lifted her chin, gestured at the refrigerator, and said, “Go grab a few eggs and start beating them.”

Boss Lu, who knew basically nothing about the kitchen, quivered as he turned around to retrieve the box of eggs from the refrigerator after he had received his order.

“There are 5 of us so a total of 10 eggs…”

He counted out 10 eggs and even pulled out 5 bowls. He proceeded to crack two eggs into each of the 5 bowls.

He lined the 5 bowls up neatly in a row and was very focused when beating the eggs.

His spirit that looked like someone who was performing an experiment was very comical!

Even Lin Yiyi almost busted out laughing.

Luckily, she was able to stop herself!

When Meng Yuran went downstairs, he saw the two busying themselves in the kitchen from afar.
