Chapter 266 – For the sake of convenience, he had a spare room key to the bungalow next to his… (2)
As Meng Yuran and the other children only had three days off, they had to leave early in order to fully utilize that time. The night before New Year Eve, everybody boarded their flight with the exception of the old couple.
The flight on China Eastern Airline to Maldives was 8-hour long. That combined with the time zone difference, they arrived at Maldives at 5 AM after their departure time of 10:50 PM.
It was Halaveli island that they were visiting. The second 6-star resort island of Maldives was one of the best resort islands.
Each of the resorts had very good privacy, and their immense elegance could be felt everywhere. Whether a person was lying in bed or the couch on the patio, they would be able to enjoy the beautiful ocean view.
The green water, the white sand. Relaxing, laid back, sun, beach…
Ever since they had arrived on the island, they had dedicated workers there introducing to them all the amenities on the island including the dining and amusement facilities and the costs of each.
No one would ever feel bored at Maldives; one would only wish that they have a second pair of eyes.
Ever since the kids had arrived on the island, their weariness from the plane was replaced with excitement.
They have moved into two adjacent over-the-water bungalows, each of them having a large bed and a small bed.
Lin Yiyi couldn’t help but tossed herself onto the large bed the minute she saw it.
Oh! It’s so soft and comfortable!
And then she fell asleep without even realizing it.
Meng Shanshan, on the other hand, had no intention to sleep at all.
She took a look at her brother. Not being able to read his mood, she looked at the front door.
Meng Yuran could tell that his sister wanted to go and look for Lu Mingzhe, and he quickly grabbed her by the back of her collar.
“Did you want to go walk around?”
Meng Shanshan’s eyes beamed, and she quickly nodded her little head.
Yup, she was still that little fool that she was. No wonder she could be fooled by that Lu Mingzhe!
Meng Yuran gave her a disappointing stare.
The little girl felt very wronged being stared at for no reason.
Taking a step back, she made up her mind to go look for Brother Zhe next door.
Then, she heard the command from her brother. “Well, why aren’t you changing then?”
“Oh?”
The little girl’s eyes widened. She was dumbfounded.
Meng Yuran had already opened up his suitcase. While looking for his own clothes, he pointed at the large 28” suitcase that Lin Yiyi had brought. “Your swimsuit was packed away with Mom’s. Wear a dress over your swimsuit. That way it wouldn’t matter if you get yourself wet out there.”
Meng Shanshan finally realized that her brother was going to take her out and not just saying it to placate her. Meng Shanshan let out a cry of joy and dashed toward the suitcase. She heaved and huffed for a long while. Up until the point when Meng Yuran had changed into his beach shorts and a tee-shirt, she had yet to open up the suitcase successfully.
Meng Yuran let out a “tsk” and said, “You’re so stupid.”
That being said, he still walked up to her and opened up the suitcase for her. “Look for it yourself now.”
By the time Meng Shanshan came out of the bathroom after she had changed, Meng Yuran was already so bored that he had stuffed himself with mini cookies.
He lifted his eyes up and asked, “What took you so long?”
Nevertheless, when he saw the white strapped dress over her pink swimsuit and how cute she looked with the slight pink coming through the dress making her all the more adorable, all of his disgruntledness melted away instantly.
“That’s quite pretty,” he praised.
The little girl lifted up her chin and said with complacency. “Of course.”
“It was a good choice on my part!”
This was the dress that Meng Yuran had picked out for her when Lin Yiyi asked for his opinion while she was packing.
All teenagers had a thing for pure colors, as though white would make one somehow seem purer and more innocent.
