Chapter 166: Go Ahead [3]

"What the hell is he doing?!"

Kevin’s shout made Alicia flinch, but she couldn’t deny his statement.

Kael had locked the arms of two werewolves in his hands and was twisting them in a brutal way.

If this continued, then—

"AArghhhhh... You bastard—"

From the expressions displayed by the students in question, everyone could feel the pain they might be suffering as their hands were bent at unnatural angles.

Just when everyone hoped that this brutality would stop, Kael stepped on the leg of another student, smashing his knee with brute force.

Diana was frozen in place as she observed the entire exchange.

Even she found it hard to defend Kael in any way, as the latter was crushing the students beneath him.

Kael had now vanished from his previous place in the blink of an eye and appeared beside the remaining students who had their legs frozen in fear.

Bam!

The nearest student had his head smashed into the ground below, while the others soon followed.

In a matter of seconds, each of the werewolves present in the group was subdued without being able to resist in any way.

"This is madness!"

Everyone agreed with Noah.

This didn’t look like a simple disagreement between students, but a fight between beasts.

Kael—

He had gone too far.

Just as Diana was about to step in and stop Kael from doing anything that could have irreversible consequences for him, she was stopped by Noah, who held her in place.

"Noah?"

Diana tried to shake away Noah’s grip but was stopped by his gaze, which was fixed on his left.

"Move aside."

A group of seniors had entered the scene, making their way towards Kael.

Seeing their badges, the murmurs of the students died down—

"Student Kael, stop this instant."

The disciplinary committee had finally arrived.

***

"Student Kael, stop this instant."

Sigh.

The watchdogs were here.

I raised my head to look at the seniors entering the scene.

Each of them had the badge of the disciplinary committee on their uniforms, and well... their way of walking showed the authority that they carried in the academy.

"Take them to the infirmary immediately."

One of the seniors, a tall guy with black hair, ordered the rest of the council members, who got to work immediately.

"It’s Prince Sebastian!"

One of them shouted, spotting an unconscious boy sprawled against the wall.

"Be quick!"

"Give me the potions."

"Arghhhh... Be slow."

"Will you keep quiet? We are trying to help you."

All members of the werewolf gang were quickly patched up.

After doing the basic check, the council members gave them some healing potions, which seemed to have eased the pain for the werewolves, as their screams had died down.

A pity.

"Are you the one responsible for all of this?"

The tall guy walked closer to me as he asked the most foolish question I could have ever heard.

"I am."

Still, I answered politely, or at least, I thought that it was a polite answer.

But from the way his face twisted into a frown and the slight clenching of his teeth under his jaw, it was enough to show his frustration.

"Student Kael, I think you should have a decent idea that fighting on the academy grounds without the official supervision of the instructors is a crime, and is—"

"I know."

I answered in a calm voice.

I had known it before attacking those students, so there was no need to pretend otherwise.

"Why the hell are you listening to him? Just arrest the motherfucker—"

Swoosh!

"Student Kael!"

Bam!

"You should know your place, wolf."

My words echoed across the calm silence, as the student council members around me stood frozen in their places.

One moment they were treating the student, and the next—

His head was buried in the ground below.

Blood began to pool under his body, maybe due to an injury to his nose.

I still had my leg over his head as I observed the other werewolves, who had their courage crushed once again.

Did they think the cover of the disciplinary committee could save them?

Ignorance is truly an interesting thing.

It gives you the illusion that doesn’t exist, but still manages to comfort you in its own twisted ways.

Shrring!

The sound of a sword being drawn from its scabbard reached my ears. Turning my head to the source, I could see the same tall-looking guy, probably the head of this team, walking in my direction, his eyes emitting an intense gaze.

A Silver 3.

As I scanned the other council members, most of them were Silver 1, while a select few were Silver 2 rankers.

Manageable.

I didn’t know why, but right now, I felt like I was at my absolute peak.

My head seemed to be clearer than it had ever been in the last 2 years.

Haa...

It was truly refreshing.

Shrring.

Shrring.

I opened my eyes, only to find multiple swords being drawn at me.

"Student Kael, as the representative of the disciplinary committee, I order you to lay down your weapon and cooperate with us for the investigation that shall soon follow."

"..."

"Am I clear?"

"Do you see any weapon in my hand?"

Opening my arms in a wide arc, I looked at the leader of the group, whose skin was paler than the rest.

A vampire.

"Are you making fun of me, student Kael?!"

The vampire raised his voice as he moved closer to me.

The rest of his group moved the werewolves to a safer area and quickly surrounded me from all sides.

"..."

Seeing that I didn’t make any effort to reply seemed to have irked the leader, as he gripped the sword in hand, his eyes never leaving mine.

"Answer me!"

His shout echoed across the surroundings as I slightly massaged my neck.

"Should I be afraid of you— a mere bloodsucker?"

I pointed at him while taking a slight stance with my legs at the same time.

"What did you say?!"

Swoosh!

The moment his words ended, the vampire vanished from his place, appearing beside me, his sword aimed at my legs.
