The Villain Reborn as Game's Final Boss-Chapter 175: Put in Place
Blonde hair.
The girl walked towards me, as her eyes scanned Victoria, who was on the ground, blood dripping from her arm.
"I hope you can co-operate with us, student Kael."
I just stared at the girl before me.
"Ashlyn Levaith. It’s a pleasure to meet you."
Ashlyn bowed slightly instead of going for a handshake.
The girl was surprisingly polite.
"The instructors are on their way, and—"
Ashlyn paused as her gaze shifted towards Victoria.
"I hope you can spare our vice-president’s life."
"Was that an order?"
My lips stretched in amusement.
Ashlyn paused for a moment, as she stared into my eyes.
"No. It’s a request."
Thinking for a moment, I lowered my sword from Victoria’s neck while walking towards Ashlyn.
Standing a few inches away from her, I massaged my neck slowly after returning the sword to my storage.
"What made you think I was going for the kill?"
"I...I just felt it."
Ashlyn spoke, her voice low as a whisper.
"Oh. Looks like they have arrived."
My words made everyone turn their attention towards the instructors who had arrived at the scene.
At the forefront, I could see Elsa along with Zenur, as both of them looked at me with mixed expressions.
"You sure took your time."
My legs moved as I made my way towards the instructors, who were now scanning the students sprawled on the ground.
"It is the policy of the academy to let the student council handle all matters related to the students, including... disputes."
Elsa paused at the end, as she once again looked at my armless seniors, who looked... quite pathetic.
"We were not going to interfere till the end, but the situation could have taken a drastic turn had we not arrived."
Elsa completed her justification, as her brows furrowed slightly seeing the calm look on my face.
Sigh.
Though I found the conversation to be quite interesting... right now, I wanted nothing more than to take a nice warm shower and sleep on the bed.
Nodding my head at Elsa’s words, just as I was about to walk past her, she grabbed my arm, making me stop in my tracks.
"..."
"You will have to explain everything, student Kael."
Elsa spoke, as her gaze moved across the bodies of the student council members.
"Hm? I thought the academy didn’t intervene in matters related to the students."
Elsa watched me for a second before taking a step in my direction.
"Do you really want to do things that way?"
Elsa’s eyes had slightly narrowed as I felt a small amount of mana pressure covering me from all sides.
Elsa was strong... too strong for the current me.
There was no way I could defeat her or any of the other instructors, even if they attacked me individually instead of in the group that they had come with.
Seeing Elsa’s expression, I didn’t know why, but—
I felt fearless at the moment.
All logic had disappeared from my mind, and my body felt like—
It was itching for another fight.
Haa...
Just what was happening with me?
If Elsa wanted, she could kill me at this very moment, and I wouldn’t be able to even defend against her attack.
I couldn’t sense her core, so it was a given that she was far stronger than me.
Still—
I had an instinctive urge to fight her...
To fight him.
To fight all of them.
Haa...
Something was wrong.
Taking slow, focused breaths, I tried to reduce the emotions that were stirring within me.
Right now... attending the academy was more important than fighting like a beast.
I had already caused a mess, and there was no need to complicate things.
"Uh... actually, I was heading towards the headmaster’s office."
All of my earlier tone dropped down, as I spoke in a measured yet polite voice.
Elsa blinked her eyes, seeing the sudden change, but quickly composed herself.
"Why?"
Her face had twisted into a light frown, as she looked confused by my statement.
"I mean... I have to apologise for everything that had happened today. So maybe... I will just confess before the headmaster."
I paused, letting Elsa, Zenur, and the rest of the instructors process my words.
"I don’t want to trouble you guys, so please, be at ease."
I could see a slight twitch in Zenur’s expression, though he managed to hide it well.
"That’s all good, but—"
"I will accompany him to the headmaster’s office."
Before Elsa could complete her statement, Zenur interrupted her, as he placed his hand on my shoulder before looking at Elsa again.
"You can make sure that the students are in good health. I will ensure that proper procedures are followed in regard to his punishment—"
"I wasn’t in the wrong."
I interrupted Zenur, as the instructor turned his head to look into my eyes.
"We will discuss that at the headmaster’s office."
I just nodded my head.
"You think cutting off the arms of fellow students and committing the same brutality against the vice-president isn’t a crime, huh?!"
An enraged shout made all of us turn our attention to Victoria—or to the guy standing beside her.
"Kevin—"
"You are just vile scum, who deserves to be put in his place."
Kevin took a step in my direction, his eyes red with the anger that he felt towards me.
"Put in place, huh. So who is going to do the honours? You, or her?"
I pointed towards Victoria, who stood behind Kevin, her body supported by Diana and Alicia on both sides.
"Bastard—"
"Student Kevin, maintain the decorum of the academy. This isn’t a place for your disputes."
Elsa silenced Kevin in polite words.
Though I was with Kevin on the issue.
"Let him speak... after all— that is the only thing he can do."
Hearing my words, all heads turned towards me once again, as I stepped forward, my hands in my pockets.
Kevin’s face twisted, as he pulled out a sword from his storage in a fluid motion.
"How about I show you... what I can do?"
Silence.
"Student Kael, head to the office, and Sir Zenur, please—"
Swoosh!
Bam!
Thud.
