The Villainess Married The Evil CEO-Chapter 106: Are You Free?
Abigail lowered her head and continued eating without saying another word. She had been eating just the same manner for the past few days, not saying a single word of greeting to the men at the table.
Thus, Nicholas and Asher were both anxious, but at the same time, they didn’t know how to approach the lady at all. Was it that she was indifferent because they did something wrong?
It couldn’t be that she figured out they couldn’t locate the trace of that stalker at all, could she?
Nicholas took a deep breath and stood up, attracting the attention of the rest of the table. "I’m gonna stay here for a while longer."
After saying that, he took his finished plate and went to the kitchen. Asher looked at him and also said nothing, continuing to have his food. 𝚏𝕣𝐞𝗲𝐰𝕖𝐛𝐧𝕠𝕧𝚎𝚕.𝐜𝚘𝗺
Abigail also finished and stood up, saying, "Today’s the day I start, right?"
"Yes," Asher finally relaxed a little after seeing her talking to him. Thus, he raised his head, expecting to see the same joyful face as before. But to his disappointment, all he noticed was coldness and indifference, so unlike Abigail.
A trace of disappointment filled his heart as he cleared his throat and said, "You.... Are you still continuing to act as Olivia, even at home?"
"Yes." Abigail nodded, trying her very best to contain her excited nature. Thanks to those medicines and proper counseling sessions with Owen. Even though he didn’t talk a lot about her condition, the fact that there was someone to talk to about her day without hesitation made Abigail fill with utter traces of joy.
Thus, she even ended up revealing to him that she was also writing a novel based on her own character, and he was thoroughly impressed. Of course, she hid the fact that it was her own life story, but she did give him the link to that Google Docs file where she was writing.
At first, she hesitated, but then, she realized that she didn’t have to tell the man the entire truth of how she ended up in this world at all. To him, this novel would be entirely a new story Abigail cooked up in her head involving interesting characters around her.
Thus, she let him read. As of now, she is still waiting for feedback from him.
Asher sighed and finally got up, saying, "We will leave in five minutes."
He was slightly relaxed, seeing that the woman wasn’t angry or anything. She was just playing her role.
But he still felt a little sad seeing her ignoring his presence like this. Maybe he should plan a little change. In the eyes of the world, weren’t the two of them boyfriend and girlfriend?
Upon thinking of that, his heart filled with warmth as he fought the urge to blush. He took a deep breath and said, "Let’s go out and have a date to show our relationship tonight. What do you say?"
Abigail choked up as she coughed and said, "Okay."
She instantly got up from her seat and rushed to the kitchen.
Damn, even after trying her best all these days, she still ended up feeling her heart jump at just a simple sentence from Asher!
As she was going, she accidentally bumped into Nicholas, making her lose her balance. When she was about to fall to the ground, a hand snaked into her waist, pulling her closer to a sturdy chest.
She even smelt a musty smell coming off from the man.
And then her heart jumped for the second time when Nicholas whispered into her ears, "Careful."
"...." Abigail took a deep breath, nodding as she got out of his embrace and quickly headed to the kitchen, trying her best not to blush.
Ah, her efforts these days seemed to be for naught. Her heart jumped because of both of these men! How could she manage to stay aloof in such a case?!
She put her plate away quickly and washed the dishes. Since they had to hide her identity, she would keep howled up in the room for the time when maids and servants would arrive. She would even put on her disguise mask when they were around.
But of course, it was clearly impossible for her to wear it for the entire time. Thus, there were no full-time servants at home.
So she took up the charge to wash the dishes after food. It wasn’t like she had anything else to do other than write her novel.
Thus, as she was washing the dishes and trying her best to calm her heart, her cell phone rang.
She picked it up without seeing the screen, saying, "Hello."
"Abigail, are you free?" Owen’s voice echoed from the other side directly into her ears.
These days, since they had been talking a lot at night for counseling sessions, Abigail developed a bit of attraction toward him. How could she not?!
He was an utterly serious young man who looked at her with his amber eyes and smiled with traces of softness in them, completely contradictory to his serious and firm nature. His outfit every single day would seem to make her heart thump.
Even after seeing his face every day, Abigail couldn’t stop her heart from thumping in her chest.
And now, when she heard that voice in her ears, sounding deep and husky, her heart thumped for the third time today.
Ah, don’t tell her she was falling for three men altogether! What was she, a whore?!
Abigail swallowed and blurted out, "Yes."
Ugh, she had to say no! Why did she have to utter a loud and clear yes to his face?!
She was actually busy! She only had five minutes to get ready!
But she also wanted to talk to Owen. A conversation with him made her calm emotionally. To say that she was now emotionally dependent on him wouldn’t be wrong.
Thus, despite her busy schedule, she said, "We can have five minutes."
She quickly washed her hands and leaned against the counter, waiting for him to speak.
Of course, Owen didn’t know that she was busy, but he didn’t want to waste more minutes talking nonsense. He still had a lot of patience to handle as he said, "It’s about your novel. How did you get the idea to write about yourself in such a setting?"
"Well," Abigail scratched her head, trying her best to think of a way to tell him everything without telling him even a single thing. An idea sparked up in her head as she said, "Well, I have been reading transmigration novels these days. So what if I was originally a person transmigrating from the world I have written to this world? I’m going to write this innovative idea in my novel!"
