The Villainess Married The Evil CEO-Chapter 134: What Kind Of A Husband Are You?!
Abigail opened her eyes and blinked. She instantly jumped on her feet.
Today was a very exciting day for her! After all, she had an outing with her husband, whom she had liked for a while, even before seeing his face! He was the best character created by her, and she even cried the whole night and fell into depression for an entire week when he died in her novel.
She was jubilant as she headed into the bathroom, took a quick bath, and walked out, looking all fresh and beautiful in her outfit. This time, she didn’t bother wearing a mask on her face because she was going out as Abigail, not as Olivia.
In front of the entire world, Olivia was Asher’s girlfriend, but Abigail was Nicholas’s wife.
Ugh, this was so confusing. Why did she have to carry the weight of two identities for nothing? The killer behind all of these things still caught the wind of her. Who knows where he was at the moment? She was sure that the person was around her, somewhere.
Since there was already some danger, why not get out of here and challenge that person head-on? After all, by doing this, she might even capture that person!
The more she thought about it, the more she wanted to go with Nicholas. She finally convinced herself of all the reasons as she glanced at herself in the mirror once more before nodding at herself.
Her learning speed of how to do her touch-up was increasing day by day, matching with that of professionals! If her nurse back in the asylum were to see this, they would be so happy! 𝕗𝗿𝕖𝐞𝐰𝗲𝕓𝐧𝕠𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝐨𝚖
Nicholas walked inside with an indifferent face. After this time, Asher had gone out and still hadn’t returned. Once the former saw his wife in her original face, he was stunned.
These days, he was habitually facing Olivia, not Abigail, during the daytime. Thus, when the latter stood in front of him like this and tilted her head innocently, asking, "Let’s go?"
She was adorable.
That thought flashed past his mind faster than ever before he could even register. Later, he shook his head and decided to throw that thought to the back of his head and focus on the task at hand.
Nicholas nodded as he walked ahead, followed by Abigail.
It was a special event with the premier of the first international movie Nicholas had produced. This movie will prove whether he was worthy of facing The Abyss, Asher’s company, head-on in the competition.
And he was ready to challenge his enemy.
The corner of his lips curled up to form a cold smile. He would definitely show that damned cousin of his that he was also a Harrison of the same blood and bones, an elder one at that. The brat simply needed to be taught a lesson for being impudent and disrespectful to his elders.
Since it was a premier, they didn’t have to go just on time. There were events even before that, and a press conference, a private interview, a photoshoot, and a meeting with the producers were before that.
And yes, Nicholas wanted to take his wife and make her go through all of those events. Didn’t she want to get close to him? Then, let her see what kind of life he lives daily.
If she still decided to tilt a little more toward him, Nicholas would actively participate in her pursuit and capture her heart faster than Asher. If not....
Well, he could still let Asher have the advantage. After all, it’s Abigail’s wishes that mattered.
If she likes someone else while being forcibly married to Nicholas, it would be pointless even if she were compatible and complementary to his character. Despite being a closed-off character, Nicholas knew he didn’t want to force Abigail to remain by his side.
He wasn’t an expressive person to begin with. His life was black and other shades of it, but it never turned white. He was a boring person from start to end.
And even Nicholas knew that he was a difficult person to be with.
If Abigail could manage to stay with him until the end of the day and express her happiness, he would become an active participant. After all, if they were already married, they only had to act like a real, married couple. Nothing more.
Thus, they reached downstairs, and he called a car he had specially booked for this purpose yesterday. The car was already nearby, so it took the driver only a few seconds to pull it up in front of the hotel. The driver hurried out and opened the backseat of the car, letting the two enter.
Nicholas first gestured for Abigail to enter the car, followed by himself. Then he gestured for the driver to drive off the car.
He had already given his plans for the day. Thus, he didn’t need to speak a single word about where he wanted to go suddenly.
Abigail turned toward him all of a sudden and glared at his face, "Why didn’t you ask me to eat breakfast?"
"What do you want to eat?"
"What’s the point of asking now?!" Abigail threw a fit at him and turned her head away, crossing her arms on her chest. "You’re clearly not a gentleman, but you sure act like one!"
"..."
Nicholas didn’t know why he was being berated like this. He tilted his head and asked, "Did I say something wrong?"
"No!" Abigail pouted as she glared at him once again. "What kind of a husband are you?! If you’re not careful, someone might come and snatch me away!"
"..."
She was definitely talking about Asher and giving him a warning, wasn’t she?
Nicholas took a deep breath. That was a blatant warning to him, thus, he replied with all seriousness, "I’ll treat you better from today onwards. I promise."
Maybe... Maybe if he tried his best to start appearing as a good husband, at least for today, he might end up having a bigger hand as compared to Asher, right? That way, he can save his marriage, too.
After that, he got busy with work, and even Abigail refused to talk to him. They soon reached their first destination, a refreshing restaurant with a natural spring and a beautiful garden.
