The Young master's fake bride and her lucky system-Chapter 129: Just because.
"That poor child." grandma Zhang said under her breath as she eased herself into a rocking chair in the kitchen which was put there specifically for her comfort when she was supervising the maids in the kitchen.
Meowwwww, Meow
The loud disgruntled cry of two cats stopped her from lowering her buttocks any further down. Two cats jumped out of the chair, one black and one gold.
When they sped past her, grandma Zhang clutched her heart because they frightened her.
"Oh, that scared me!" she exclaimed.
She looked back to ensure that there was nothing else in the chair and then sat down.
The head of the housekeepers in the family was quick to apologize to her. "Sorry elder madam, we didn't know what to do with the cats because they belong to the young master and miss and they were sleeping peacefully."
She looked worried, fear prominent in her eyes because she was terrified that she and the others would all be fired.
Two maids who were preparing lunch were nervous as well even though they kept pretending not to be.
"It's not a problem, the cats are part of the family now. As long as the cat hair doesn't get into the food or drinks then they can sleep in here for as long they want.
"Yes elder madam." the head housekeeper answered.
"Mother, Caishen has said that they are not going to have lunch from home. He and Alix are going out on a date." Yura came strolling into the kitchen and announced.
Her feet carried her to the food which was cooking and she took a peek into the pots and pans.
"Mother, the glutinous rice cakes look good. Should we pack some for Xi Xi and Caishen?" Yura turned around and looked in the direction of grandma Zhang. "Xiaobo said that she always has something to eat in the car.
"That's a good idea. You should add some green onion pancakes too." Grandma Zhang told her.
With a smile, Yura got a few dishes from the cabinet and started packing some food for them.
Twenty minutes later, Alix's arms were forcefully stuffed with snacks, foods and homemade juice then the couple was sent off.
Alix would not smiling and cradling the two thermos food flasks as if she was holding an infant.
"Are you that happy because you have food?" he asked her.
She nodded happily.
"You have a very nice family hubby Zhang." she looked at him and said.
He looked right back at her and said, "We."
"Mmm." she responded.
He pointed at himself and then her and said, "We have a very nice family. As my wife you are part of the family. My mother, brother, grandparents, Xiaobo and our two cats. All of us are one family."
Alix's lips blossomed into a smile, one that was gentle and filed with warmth. Her eyes somehow looked at him with a tenderness that was non-existent before.
Caishen's hands somehow folded and he held himself back from looking away or pulling her in for a hug. Never in his life had someone looked at him like she was doing, as if he was the single most important thing in her life. On this rare occasion, he could not tell what she was thinking and it unnerved him.
The urge to say something overwhelmed him because the quietness in the back of the car also made him nervous.
"I...." he started to say and stopped. What exactly am I going to say? he asked himself.
Alix put down the two food flasks carefully and cozied up to him. She raised herself up slightly and kissed him on the cheek out of the blue.
It took him by surprise and he put a his left on his cheek, right on the spot she had just kissed.
"What was that for?" he asked her.
She smiled, and leaned he head against her shoulder. With a shrug, she replied, "Just because."
Just because he was sweet and nice. Because he was the best husband in the world.
He faced the window and smiled. What would she do when she saw the date he planned?
"Hubby Zhang," she called him softly.
"Mmm." he responded and turned his eyes to her.
Sometimes, Caishen found it rather funny that he had become so used to being called hubby Zhang that he replied to it automatically when she called him that.
"Thank you." she told him.
"For what?" he asked.
She scratched the tip of her nose because it felt a little itchy. When she was done dealing with the itch, she opened her mouth and said, "For everything."

"In that case, don't thank me yet. Not until you see where I am taking you for this date. You will want to thank me in more passionate ways when you see it."
Exactly thirty two minutes, Alix was embracing Caishen so tightly that he could hardly breathe because of the way she had her arms wrapped around his neck.
"You got me a ticket to see Goya Mishka!!" she squealed.
After screaming, she peppered his face in noisy kisses. Her lips landed everywhere from his eyes to his nose, lips, chin and his ears as well.
They were outside a concert hall and she didn't even care who saw them. Her heart was flooding with overwhelming happiness.
"Miss Lin..." he called her softly.
She squealed again and he sighed. His intention was to ask her to tone down the excitement because people were watching but he let it be. She had been crying about an hour back. Why take away her smile?
Suddenly she pulled out her phone before he could stop her and she made a call.
"Jin Jin, guess where I am right now? Goya Mishka's exclusive concert. My husband got me a ticket to the concert and he surprised me."
Alix did not even realize that she was jumping around like a child. Caishen was worried that the short heels of her brown boots would not hold.
Perhaps this was too much excitement for a second date. Maybe he should have gone with a trip to the zoo or something.
She hung up immediately after saying that. Caishen did not even think that she waited for a proper response before hanging up on her friend.
He thought she was done making phone calls but then she made another one, equally as excited as she did when she made the first one.
"Holea, guess what my hubby did for me! He got me a ticket to Goya Mishka's concert. I am going in now, bye-bye."
She hung up and squealed like a little mouse, her feet jumping from side to side.
"Can we go in now?" he asked her slowly.
She nodded eagerly and grabbed his hand. She didn't know how he found out that Goya Mishka was one of her favorite pianists in the world and arranged for the tickets but she was glad he did.
As they went through the glass doors of the concert hall, Alix's heart pounded loudly. Whether it was because of the concert or the man who had brought her to it was unknown.
