The Young master's fake bride and her lucky system-Chapter 145: A very good morning
The paladin unleashed her wings, grabbed them and shot out of the lake like a bullet which had just been fired from a gun. Then, she flew them all the way back to the town where they handed in the head of the leader of the Licademons and received their two maps.
All eyes in the task hall were on them, some filled with envy and others admiration.
"Let's find a headquarters for our guild." Alix told them. She still had a mission to accomplish outside of the task.
"The light mage inn tower. It's the safest place in this city and it has the best food." Hero recommended.
Dark Death patted Hero's wings slyly and smiled.
"Take us there, your wings are so soft and warm. You are better than Baize."
Hero frowned and kicked Dark death to the side of the side. How dare she compare her to a mount with that disgusting look on her face?

"I am going on a solo mission. You two handle the rest." She told them and then flew away.
"Why is she uncooperative?" Dark death mumbled unhappily. All she had to do was give them a ride.
"Next time, try not to compare her to an animal. Come on, we will take Baize, his back is warm too." Alix answered her and she laughed lightly.
The moment Dark death attempted to get on his back, Baize jumped away. Animals in the gaming world were intelligent and all that she has said, Baize had heard and he didn't like.
Dark death patted Baize's back wings quickly. "Baize, you are warmer and softer than her. I was just trying to making her feel better about herself."
The ostrich lifted one of it's legs and tried to kick her but she dodged.
"Hey," she shouted in total dismay at it's heartlessness. "Baize, how could you do that to me? I thought we were friends."
Alix wanted to finish the mission and go to bed. If these two didn't want to play nice then one might as well remain behind.
Alix tapped Baize's reigns and the ostrich prepared itself to fly. She said to Dark death, "Go and hire a mount from the task hall. You will either find me at the light mage inn or our headquarters. Either way, bye-bye."
The system had already scanned the maps, the loot had been divided and she even took the useless beauty sniffing skill scrolls which nobody wanted.
Who needed a skill to identify beautiful things? How was it helpful in a battle?
She arrived at the inn and paid yearly rent for one of their floors, spending one hundred thousand game coins. She would need to refill that gap soon.
Ding! Mission accomplished.
Reward: Oil painting skills.
Alix didn't understand the system. Her last mission, she had been rewarded with a book on music score writing which was useful to her. Painting on the other hand was not her cup of tea.
She had always assumed that she would be receiving tangible items from her system as rewards, not intangible skills.
"Whatever," she muttered.
She had taken most of the purple healing crystals and water jades, along with the weird Lica plant. She would sell all the jades and make some more money to fill in the gap she used to pay for rent.
Thirty two minutes later at a half past eleven after completing her mission, Alix closed her eyes and slept off.
Alix had no plans of rising early the following day. When she closed her eyes, her plan was to wake up at ten, the following day.
However, she could not sleep much when something kept tickling her name, rudely cutting off the beautiful dream she was having.
She mumbled something and lightly swatted what she thought was a bug away. The bug, however would not leave and it latched onto her neck, nibbling gently.
Slowly, she opened her eyes wondering if she was dreaming or perhaps she was in a gaming world and somehow, a Licademon had latched onto her. It took her mind a moment to register that it was no licademon, but her husband.
He was either awake or perhaps in a half asleep state like her because he had never attempted something like this before in bed. She squirmed, and turned her body over so that she could face him.
He was wide awake, and she met his eyes immediately. She smiled at him with a bit of shyness while stifling a yawn.
He smiled back at her and placed hand on her cheek.
"Good morning." he said softly.
"En, good morning." she answered. Her answer came out more whispery than she intended.
They both stared at each other silently, just laying there in bed. It was like one of those perfect moments in a romantic movie when a couple has just confessed their love and spent their first night together.
This was the part where the shy awkward couple shared a kiss or decided to take a bath together.
"What are you thinking?" Caishen asked her.
"Nothing." she answered. But her mind had a different answer. Kiss me, kiss me right now.
The thought embarrassed her, even though she was well aware that he could not hear it. Her face somehow started to feel a little warm and she looked away from him.
Her eyes travelled from his eyes to his neck and then his bare chest.
No shirt, no shirt, no shirt.
Her eyes darted back up quickly.
Alix was no virgin so seeing his bare chest did not make her feel embarrassed. What it did was sort of scare her because he had never gone to bed shirtless before.
"You." she laughed softly and pointed at his chest.
It was well defined, showing clear muscle contours and very appealing to her eyes. It was not one of those sculpted ones with overly-defined muscles that screamed look at me, I sleep in the gym.
She found it really amazing that he looked this impressive even though he had been in a wheel chair for a year.
"Come here." he told her.
Alix did not need to be invited twice. She closed the gap between them and shamelessly put her grabby hands on his chest. It was so smooth and warm.
Her eyes lit up like a jellyfish in the dark.
"So nice." she said. This was a very good morning, her soul was singing with joy. Such a handsome delicious husband was all hers, all hers.
The blue elf of her system had awakened the moment wild thoughts started crossing her mind and prepared itself to watch a show.
It was laughing so hard and it said, "Ho! the perverted old woman returns with a vengeance. You should see the way you are drooling."
She could care less about what the system was saying because Caishen tipped her face up and brushed his lips briefly against hers.
"Control your greed." he whispered to her. "I am going to take a bath, sleep for a while."
No, no, noo.
She whined in her mind but smiled as he left. When he disappeared into the bathroom, she rolled around on the big bed while crying playfully. She should have taken him down in one swift move.
