The Young master's fake bride and her lucky system-Chapter 152: A little landlady
The whole time when Alix and Wang Ming were talking, one of the men that Alix assumed were lawyers as well was typing quickly. He would pause when they stopped talking and resume as soon as conversation picked up. The man was like a court stenographer recording everything that was being said and she occasionally peeped at him as she wondered what he was typing.
If Jacob Hai had an audio recorder then what was the written record for?
"Look, this one recently learned a new dance at school. She has been calling me often to show me how it's done." Wang Ming told Scarlet.
He was showing her a video. Even madam Qian had craned her neck and she was watching it with a smile.
Caishen, like Jacob had watched enough of the friendly exchange so he bit the bullet and said, "I hate to be the one to break up this friendly atmosphere but the lawyers have another place to be."
Jacob Hai jumped in efficiently like a tiger which had been waiting for an opportunity to strike.
"Mr. Wang since this negotiation involves land, we would like to see proper documentation of ownership. Fuwen academy according to the public information is privately owned by you. Do you have any investors that we should be aware of? My client wants full solo ownership of the school.
If the school has any debt we will also need that information to be shared. Please bear in mind that if you hide anything related to the finances, valuation of the land or ownership my client reserves the right to sue you for fraud."
Alix blinked as Jacob Hai fired off questions, one after the other. A part of her almost blurted out an apology to Mr. Wang Ming. Somehow, in her mind, it almost seemed as if they were overwhelming the old man.
Caishen tugged on her arm and she looked down. He had his phone on his lap and there was a text on it.
[Let the lawyers do their job]
The man could read her like an open book. He could even tell what she was thinking without look at her full face.
She twisted her mouth around a bit and nodded. All she had to was pay up after the negotiations were done.
"Young madam." Jacob addressed Alix.
She turned her head from Caishen and looked at him. "Yes," she answered.
Jacob turned his laptop around and showed her the images of Fuwen academy available to the public. "Have you inspected the school personally or had it done by a third party? Who provided this valuation?"

"I haven't been there in person." Alix replied, truthfully.
Jacob's eyes trailed from her to Caishen. Caishen could read the disapproval in them.
Jacob was not a man who liked to do things haphazardly. To him, every i needed to be dotted and every t crossed. Buying land and buildings without seeing them in person was a move for dummies.
Jacob folded his hands and leaned back in his chair. The lawyer was ready to pull the plug temporarily or ask to speak to his client alone. "Perhaps we should...."
"I inspected them on her behalf." Madam Qian announced. She looked at Jacob and said, "I am her real estate handler. Your boss knows who I am. My husband's company, Ko real estate development company is about to do business with Zhang construction."
Jacob was familiar with that information because the contracts were still being drawn up. Madam Qian was therefore credible enough to be trusted. He unfolded his arms and brought his body forward.
"Okay, let's see those transfer forms and sign the documents. But, we will still be inspecting the property personally to ensure that everything you have claimed is true. If you lie to us, the full force of the legal team of Zhang group will descend on you." He said this while looking at both Wang Ming and madam Qian.
Twenty minutes later, the agreements were signed and all the lawyers except for Jacob Hai left. Wang Ming also left with madam Qian who promised to take Alix to the school and show around after the national holiday was over.
Alix was all smiles because she was now a little landlady, with her own property that would soon be transferred into her names.
At the table, three people were left, Alix, Caishen and Jacob. The lawyer sipped what was left of his wine slowly as his eyes travelled from Caishen to Alix.
"Why are you still here?" Caishen asked him.
"What's this, are you getting rid of the hunting dog because the hunt is over?" Jacob responded.
Alix was not unhappy like Caishen. She was very happy, so happy that she was in the mood to celebrate. She could not wait to surprise Holea and Jin Kang. She giggled as she imagined what they would look like when she sprung it on them.
"Mr. Jacob, thank you so much." she said in a joy filled voice.
"Again, you are welcome young madam." he replied.
Jacob could really not reconcile the image of the woman that had punched two people and broken their jaws to the gentle, soft spoken calm woman he had met. He had equated her to Zhang An in his mind, short tempered and quick to react.
"Why are you still here?" Caishen asked him, again.
"Hubby," Alix whispered to Caishen and shook his arm.
The nice lawyer had just assisted her, they should be polite to him.
"You didn't finish your breakfast. You should order for something to eat. After eating, we can do something else to celebrate you buying your first building or buildings." he told her.
"Mmm," he nodded happily.
While she was checking out the menu, Caishen sent a text to Jacob and pointed at the lawyer's phone.
[Look into ownership of all the land and buildings surrounding the school. Buy up what you can and put it in her names]
After reading the text, Jacob's eyebrows shot up in surprise. Was this love or an investment? Normally they looked into the economic potential of the area. It seems that such things were not under consideration this time round.
Also, there was no specific budget on this order. How much was the young master willing to spend on his wife?
He downed the last of the wine in his glass and got up. "I guess I will be taking my leave now."
"Already." Alix looked up at him.
He nodded. "I hope you both have a wonderful time."
Caishen was all too happy to wave because he wanted alone time with his wife all along.
