"Hubby," Alix suddenly put down the menu and looked at her husband. "I think we should go and eat from somewhere else. "I read about this restaurant which caters to every sense sensually and takes your dining experience to the next level."

Caishen had just started looking at another menu and he put it down gently. His mind put together her words and then he looked at her quizzically.

"Do you understand what you are referring to?"

He had to say it clearly because the word sensual was specific. What she was referring to was a sexual gratification experience related to food.

"I am a grown woman, of course I understand what I am referring to."

"Hmmm," he responded.

He put his hands together and tapped his two thumbs slowly against each other as he watched her. Her face had a hopeful spark and undoubtful courage.

He loved it when when she was sure of herself like this. Her courage always built his in their wavy relationship. He didn't know how to make her laugh but he could he do other things to make her smile. If what she wanted was a sensual dining experience, it was what she would get.

"Lead the way." he said.

They left the restaurant and entered the car. Since she was the one who knew where they were heading, she gave the directions. The directions were relayed to the drivers of two other cars. They both had bodyguards, eight in total.

Whenever she took a ride in Caishen's car Alix always wondered if this was what the leader of their nation experienced. Caishen's bodyguards were like secret service agents, protecting him on every side at the insistence of the elder.

Alix craned her neck and looked at the car which was following them. The driver was very experienced at keeping an appropriate distance but not letting any car get between them.

"You have received a message from Dark death." her system alerted her.

She righted herself and looked at her phone while actually reading the text on the virtual screen.

[Guild master, you rented such a big place. Tell me how much you paid and I will contribute my share.]

"You can reply for me." she told it.

[Also, I found an avatar training shop where your pet can be trained for a fee. I am sending my wolfie there for some days. I will send you directions if you are interested.]

"We don't need this." Her system told her.

"Then tell her so but be polite please. Try to sound like me." She answered.

"Hey," Caishen held her hand and demanded for her attention.

"Mmm." she replied.

She put the phone back in her bag and looked at him. She shifted her body and moved closer to him. Any chance as usual to be close to him, she took without hesitation.

"What's up?" she answered.

"Nothing, I was just lonely." he replied. The corners of his lips rose up slightly after just he said it.

Alix pointed at him and tilted her head sideways. For a few speechless seconds, she just stared at him in surprise. Had he just cracked a joke or what he considered to be a joke in his mind?

"Are you okay?" she asked him.

She even put a hand on his forehead and felt the temperature o his body for herself.

"Has he been possessed?" she mumbled.

"I don't think a possessed person would be as calm as I am." he replied to her soft mumble.

She took her hand back from his forehead and placed it on his arm instead. Then she shook her head with a smug look in her eyes as if she was had the upper hand over him suddenly.

"You don't watch a lot of horror movies, do you?" she asked him.

"No." he admitted.

His calm face as he made the admission was the complete opposite of his racing inner thoughts.

Horror movies, ghosts, zombies and other creepy things, no thank you. Keep that lunacy away from me. I hope she is not one of those of those people that loves them.

Alix gestured with jazz hands, "In ghost movies, the possessed person is usually the quiet calm individual. They always look so normal and nerdy until they smile and suddenly your whole body breaks out in shivers. It's so scary when they make that creaking sound as if bones are breaking or a puppet is moving."

Caishen longed to seal his ears with glue as he unwillingly listened to her. I don't need the detailed description, he thought.

Unaware of what the man sitting next to her was thinking, Alix continued her slow narration. "Oh, and then there is that moment when they spring out of the darkness like demons coming for your soul and grab you."

She grabbed his chest suddenly and in a very funny and unexpected way, Caishen squealed. She was stunned that for a while she had no idea how to react to what had just happened. In fact, she was asking herself if that had indeed just happened. She looked into his eyes and furrowed her eyebrows.

Caishen looked away from her eyes and stared at the back of the driver's seat. His heart was actually beating very fast. The little that she had described, he had envisioned.

"Hubby Zhang, are you okay?" Alix patted his chest slowly and chuckled a bit.

Caishen could not decide what was worse between the unmanly squeal which had escaped his lips or the way his heart was beating so fast, giving away his obvious fear.

"Caishen." Alix called him again.

"I am okay." he answered.

"You seem to have been frightened. Was it something that I said?"

He caught her hand that was patting his chest and kept it still over his heart which was slowly calming down.

"I am okay." he assured her. "I am just not a fan of horror films. It's quite ridiculous and irrational that a man of my age is frightened of things that are not real but I just can't help myself."

"Oh," she answered.

"It's nothing to be ashamed of. I am not embarrassed at all." he said strongly.

Alix was someone with a system so the boundary between things that were real and those that were real was thin. She had two cats walking around which she had taken out of a game. She had supernatural strength that was given to her by a system. Her fingers had been healed in an unexplainable way.

For all she knew, ghosts and other things were real and someone out there could see them. So, who was she to judge him basing off of his fears.

"I didn't say it was." she told him. "I am scared of cockroaches, spiders, snakes, fish with weird eyes, Billi's villain face, my step mother's nails." She held her arm up and showed him a spot with a faded scar. "She grabbed me really hard once and scratched me so badly that a huge piece of skin came off. And that was not the only time she scratched me. But, karma has come for her, the universe has finally answered my prayers."

She giggled softly and made her fingers dance around in the air.

He didn't know what had made her so happy but there was something he wanted to say.
