The Young master's fake bride and her lucky system-Chapter 169: No contender
The bandit leader was the biggest boss of the bandits, the strongest and fastest. He was on Alix faster than she anticipated, his large sword swept through the air and almost cut her into half. Luckily, she had sharp senses and the system, so she ducked and played a musical note which slid her body backwards.
Not like her ducking stopped the bandit leader from his pursuit because he came in heavy with a second attempt. She on the other hand had now reached the three who had just dome to a realization that danger was upon them.
She made sure to smirk at the elf, as he had smirked at her earlier.
"You bitch." he spat out.
The blue elf had told het that different players spoke different languages but the virtual gaming world had a universal translator which enabled them all to understand each other.
The elf was much more cruel than she anticipated because he suddenly grabbed the red warrior and pushed him at the bandit leader.
The red warrior screamed as the flaming sword sliced his head off cleanly.
"Ho!" Alix gasped in surprise. The scummy elf really had no loyalty. And given the fact that you felt the pain of your death in the real world, she felt sorry for the red warrior. She wouldn't want to be that guy.
"That brutal bastard." The system commented as well.
While it found the elf's actions despicable, it also approved because the elf was the most popular gamer currently. His despicable actions would have all the views on all worlds hyped. He would surely get more fans and gifts.
Alix didn't want to dally around so pictured the chair where the city lord's daughter was being held and said, "Move."
She vanished from where she was and came out at the other end, next to the chair and the helpless female that had very believable tears running down her face.
"Move." She grabbed the back of the chair and shouted.
The bandit leader, the elf and the dwarf had all noticed her and they all lost interest in their battle. Their eyes centered on her and all of them turned their weapons in her direction.
As she vanished away, three arrows, one large hammer and a flaming sword were all hurled at her but it was all too late. She was already gone, leaving them to battle each other.
Alix appeared in the middle of the task hall with the city lord's daughter who was still tied to the chair. Immediately, she untied the ropes which bound her and the woman, launched herself into Alix's arms.
She was crying, desperately, Alix could tell because of the way her body was shaking but no sound was coming out of her mouth.
"It's okay." she told the woman.
In her mind, she wondered if the city lord's daughter was mute. She had not made a single sound even in that fortress despite her mouth not being sealed. But, that was none of her business at the moment, the map was.
First, she sent a message in their guild hall message chat. "Dark death, Hero, I got her. We are in town and I am about to hand her over to the task hall managers."
They had been waiting for her to communicate because immediately, she got responses from them.
"We are on our way." Hero said.
"I knew you could do it. You used that teleportation scroll, right?" Dark death asked.
"Of course I did." She replied. Deep down, she felt a little bit of pain because the scroll had a three time use and she had used up all of them.
Fifteen million was gone just like that, all used up within a day. The system was right about one needing money to play this game. She needed a dozen more of these scrolls because they were so convenient.
"As expected of our guild leader, you have no contender in the game." Death death praised Alix generously.
Alix in turn sent a message, "Stay back and kill more monsters. I didn't get the bandit leader because that despicable elf followed me. I know I am being greedy since we get a map but the loss of the loot from a bandit leader is painful. We could have got some good things and some spell or skill books."
The bandit leader was a thief. She could only imagine what kind of loot he would drop after his death. In her mind, she pictured a room full of jewels, shiny and beautiful. So many that they could form a small mountain.

"He is a thief not a dragon with a hoard." The system said, sarcastically. "Just be grateful that you are not the player that had their head sliced off."
Alix's mind flashed back to that moment and she felt a shiver break out in her body. That had been so brutal, much worse than the arrows the elf killed her with.
She untangled the hands of the city lord's daughter from her neck. She didn't want anything touching her neck in that moment.
"I am going to take you home." She told the woman.
The city lord's daughter nodded but she grabbed Alix's arm so that she would not leave her behind.
Alix walked with her to the counter and approached one of the managers.
"Hello, I have finished a task, guild task of rescuing the city lord's daughter. Where do I get my reward from?"
The manager touched a virtual screen and moved a few things around. Then, she looked away from it and told Alix, "You must take her to the city lord's mansion on Inn mountain. The city lord will be giving you the reward personally."
"Thank you." she answered.
She left the task hall and released Baize when they set foot outside. Then, she looked at the city lords daughter and asked her, "Do you know your way home?"
Alix rolled her eyes before the woman could reply and she smacked her own forehead. How could she ask for directions when she had a system?
She climbed onto Baize and told the woman, "Get on."
The woman was all to happy to get on Baize's back and hold on to Alix's waist as if they would be riding a motorcycle.
Baize spread his wings and prepared to take flight.
"Wait," a female voice said.
It came from the female manager who Alix had just spoken to and she was very loud. Behind her were six able bodied men and two women.
"These are some of the guards of the task hall. They will protect you along the way and lead you to the mansion." she told Alix.
Alix's eyes trailed over the escort party of burly men and mean looking women. Then she turned her eyes to the woman with a question.
"Can they fly?"
"You can take the ground route." The task hall manager answered.
"No, flying is quicker." Alix told her. "Baize, up." she commanded.
Baize spread his wings, took to the sky and soared. All Alix wanted to do was complete the mission and then carry out a few more tasks to make up for the loot she had missed out on.
