Caishen moved his wheelchair closer to Alix before the introductions could begin and he held her hand. A few of the people in the room raised eyebrows at his actions. Was the cold young master of Beijing secretly romantic or was he making a statement? Or maybe he was scared so he was holding her hand for comfort. Perhaps, it was them he was wary with.

sons, Tai Dalian, Tai Dishi and Tai Wong, the baby of the family."

Again, a similar set of actions from Alix and Caishen followed that introduction.

The system had provided her with the Tai family so she knew that grandpa Tai didn't have any daughter or granddaughter but seeing it in person was rather amazing. They were all men, tall good looking men and boys. The Tai's had some good genes in their pool.

"This is your god daughter, only sister and my beloved granddaughter Alix and her husband young Zhang. If I catch you boys teasing her I will not go easy on you." Grandpa Tai warned them. He turned to Alix with a smile and told her, "These are your uncles and brothers. If you need anything, don't be afraid to ask them. When you are tired of walking, they should carry you. When you are hungry they should bring you food. If you run out of money, they should provide for you. If you cry, they should wipe your tears."

Alix laughed, unsure if she should feel sorry for the men or happy that grandpa seemed to favor her more than them even though she was not a blood relative.

Tai Jiaan lowered his head and whispered to Tai Change, "Why does it feel like she is the precious grandchild and we are extra baggage?"

Tai Fong extended his hand and pinched Tai Jiaan's waist.

"Aww! Who did that?" Tai Jiaan winced and turned with a scary look on his face to look for the culprit.

His painful cry was heard by everyone but only two people in the room expressed curiosity, Alix and Caishen. To everyone else, this was normal. In a family filled with boys, squabbles were bound to break out.

Grandpa Tai tapped Alix, demanding for her attention. "Don't mind them, they are always behaving like that. Xi Xi, let me tell you, I really don't know why I was denied a granddaughter or daughter. I visited as many temples and churches as I could every time one of my daughters-in-law got pregnant but I always ended with a grandson.

As for Tai Jiaan, the doctors assured us that he was a girl. We bought pretty dresses and shoes. We prepared everything for a baby girl but that rascal surprised us all and came out as a boy."

He complained with so much passion and even sneered at Tai Jiaan expressing his displeasure.

Alix giggled while Tai Jiaan rolled his eyes. This was not the first time his grandfather was telling this story and it would not be the last. His biggest hope was that his grandfather would not pull out the album. But luck was not on his side.

"What did you do with the dresses and shoes?" Alix asked.

Grandpa Tai blinked, filled with innocence on his face. "But it's not me that has talked about the clothes. It's your father, you heard him loud and clear."

Tai Chao was quite proud of himself for hanging his son out to dry and he was laughing loudly.

Caishen watched the interactions o the men in this family with silent observation, drawing unvoiced conclusions. They seemed to be harmonious and chaotic at the same time. He couldn't imagine what it would like growing up with so many brothers. It was probably fun but also noisy.

Alix seemed to be enjoying their noisy nature because she was smiling openly, watching them with an enraptured look in her eyes.

As he was studying the Tai's so were they doing the same to him, especially the sons of grandpa Tai. Until now, they were unclear about the motives of the Zhang family becoming involved with them.
