Lin Billi was having a lovely day so far. She had gone to the spa in the morning and enjoyed a relaxing massage, facial, manicure and pedicure.

"Hello." Billi replied lazily.

"Your sister that recently married young master Zhang Caishen is here at the auditions. When I heard that miss Lin was deciding the final singer for the song I thought it was you but as it turns out I was wrong. It was not you but your sister."

If I had known this, I would not have bothered to buy you that expensive bracelet, were Chi Li's unsaid words.

Lin Billi laughed and rolled her eyes. What would Alix be doing at the auditions?

"I am sure you are mistaken." she told Chi Li. "Anyway, I have a studio session right now. I will call you later when I have time."

She hung up and put the phone in her bag, then she entered the studio.

At the hotel, Chi Li looked at her phone with angry eyes that were filled with stormy rage.

"She hung up on me. Wow, Lin Billi, you have really grown wings because of the little success you have achieved. I don't care, you must return my bracelet or compensate me in another way." She looked at her manager with a pissed off face.

"Hey, how could you be so useless? Other people's managers find out more information before such things. All you do is eat my food and show off online as my manager. I am going to fire you one of those days."

The manager kept his head down and nodded at the driver, telling him to drive. It was not the first time Chi Li was throwing a temper tantrum.

Besides, it was her fault for having the wrong information. She was the one who claimed to have sealed the deal by having someone on her side. But if he reminded her of this, she would get physically and verbally abusive.

"I hope that bitch So Mi fails terribly." Chi Li mumbled.

So Mi in the meantime was called inside. She was the last person to audition and the only one left in the hallway when her name was called.

She had a smile on her face and she was waving at the judges as if they were a crowd of fans.

"Oh," Han Zolo laughed.

"You are quite energetic." Director Ban said.

So Mi smiled genuinely and bowed her head. Always make a good impression, and always make sure they remember you, she recalled the words of her manager.

"Do you need to take a sip of water or calm yourself before beginning?" Alix asked her.

So Mi shook her head.

"I have taken three bottles of waiting. If I take anymore, I am afraid I will have to audition from the bathroom." she said.

All four people who were waiting to judge her laughed and So Mi high fived herself in her mind. Even if she didn't get an opportunity today, she would surely be remembered.

"What song are you going to sing from the list you were given?" Alix asked her.

So Mi turned around, looking away from the judges, a move which surprised them.

"What is she doing?" Director Ban asked Alix.

"I don't know, maybe she is looking for courage." Alix answered.

Beneath the young woman's bravado and cheerfulness was a desperation and nervousness which Alix had seen and related to. It's the way she looked when she auditioned for the tv producer many years ago.

Also, the song she had chosen was not the easiest to sing, it had more than a few tricky notes to hit. She was really going for a sink or swim option.

Alix had already cancelled out many of the singers for different reasons and she hoped that maybe this So Mi would be it.

As soon as So Mi started to sing, she captured Alix's attention.
