"Threaten!" Alix faked dismay. "Hubby Zhang why would I threaten that dumb little baby of yours? It's not as if I am competing with it for your affection. I mean I was surprised to see it sleeping on your chest so early in the morning while my own hand had been thrown away like yesterday's trash." she shook her head and scoffed. "But, that doesn't mean I have a grudge against it. I simply want our Xiaobo to grow up with a dog. I think my bond with him will be stronger if I give him a puppy. " she added.

All Caishen could hear was that she disliked his cat and she wanted to make it miserable. Wasn't she the same person who gifted him the cat in the first place? Wait, was she jealous of the cat?

"Kyaa! Miss Lin, what a smooth tongue you have. You are definitely threatening my baby. If you bring a dog into our home that golden fish will end up becoming bones." he told her, with a cunning smile on his face.

Alix gasped, very much exaggeratedly, opening her mouth wide and even put her right hand over her heart.

When one has a sly wife they had to be equally cunning to deal with her otherwise one would find oneself led by the nose.

"Baby is special." he told her in a serious voice.

Alix of course, knew this much. The cat was from the gaming world so there was no way it would be ordinary. But he treated Baby the cat as if she was an actual precious baby.

She reached out her hand slowly and touched his with her index finger. "I can be your baby too."

Her finger playfully drew circles on his hand as she looked into his eyes with a cheeky smile on her face.

It was a flirty smile, Caishen thought. He slapped her hand lightly and she withdrew it quickly.

"I can only have one baby at a time." he told her.

Alix rubbed her right hand lightly and said confidently, "I have already claimed that position. I am your only baby hubby Zhang."

He searched through his mind for a proper response and came up empty.

She on the other hand smiled slyly and opened her mouth. "Your silence means yes. Hubby Zhang, this means you are giving me permission to pursue you actively, right?"

She is being shameless again, he thought. Shouldn't he be the one pursuing her?

The doors opened and two waitress walked in, each with a plate of food on a large tray. Carefully, all the food was placed on the table and then the waitresses left.

Alix's stomach rumbled loudly in protest as the delicious smells of the food assaulted her nose.

Her face turned red in horror as the loud rumbling was obviously heard by her husband.

"Sorry." she mumbled.

So embarrassing, she thought to herself.

You were quiet when the food was on the way but now you are complaining when it arrived, she touched her stomach and complained in her heart.

"Will you be able to finish all this?" he asked her.

Alix picked up the chopsticks and readied her mouth for the feast but first she pushed the small bowl of porridge in front of Caishen.

"You drunk alcohol, eat something." she told him.

From all the meals they had at home she had noticed that he was not a big eater. Sometimes even Xiaobo ate more than he did.

Did he need appetite boosters? she wondered.

"You can distribute some of your points to him, but only for health. Or feed him a restoring portion but it will not be as effective as the points." the system suggested.

Alix had just picked up a pork chop when the system said this and she held it in the air, not sending it to her mouth.

"I don't want your sweet and sour pork." Caishen told her.

She noticed that her hand was sort of facing and it was easy for him to assume that she wanted to feed him. Alix smiled, and the corners of her mouth went all the way up.

"I thought you might want the first bite hubby Zhang. This is me showing you that I will always put you first in everything."

Caishen smiled awkwardly and shook his head.

Alix smiled like a flower and shook her head. "Not when it comes to things I love."

She looked him directly in the eyes when she said this and after, she ate the golden and glistening piece of pork.

For the rest of the meal, her eyes were focused on the plates and not on him. He on the other hand was focused on her, staring at her intently as she devoured all the food bit by bit until nothing was left behind.

Somehow, by the time she was finished, he had only managed to eat half of that little porridge.

Alix put down the chop sticks and wiped her lips slowly.

"Caishen, I am a little curious about something but I don't want to pry or seem as if I am digging too much into your personal life."

"What?"

"Are you anorexic? Do you have some kind of eating disorder. Hubby Zhang, I am really not nosy, I just care about you so much and it worries me that you eat little. Even at home, baby usually eats half of your food."

The only eating disorder she knew about was anorexia, which was why it was the illness she led with but other than the name, the symptoms of the illness were lost on her.

Caishen was not expecting this to be the question she was going to ask. When she said personal life he thought that she would ask about his body, his finances, his family or his company.

Well, technically his appetite was also something personal. It also told him that she was really keeping an eye on him and saw more than he expected.
