On the way out of the restaurant, they bumped into an unexpected individual, someone that Alix very much hated to see, her ex boyfriend Wei Tao.

He was heading inside with a small group of friends and he stopped when he saw his eyes locked with hers.

"Xi Xi." he called her name, softly with a smile on his face.

As if he did not notice her husband or the child holding her left hand, he reached out to try and embrace her.

Alix casually tilted her entire body away from his hands and kicked him in the right leg.

"Gross." she said with a sneer.

How could he try to hug her as if no time had passed at all since he dumped her like trash. He was all acting as if they were on friendly terms.

"Xi Xi." he repeated her name in a weird coquettish voice.

It made Alix want to throw up.

Alix looked down at Caishen and said with a charming smile, "Hubby, let's go."

It was then that Wei Tao, who had a hurt expression on his face noticed that Alix had company.

He smiled wryly and backed away, putting some space between them.

"Young master Zhang, hello."

"Did you just try to hug my wife?" Caishen asked him coldly.

"We are close friends, young master. Xi Xi and I have known each other for five years now. We have been through thick and thin together." he answered.

He said it with a smile as if they shared very fond memories.

"We have some things to talk about. Is it okay if I borrow her for a few seconds?"

If Caishen's aura had been cold before, now it was freezing. The way he was looking at Wei Tao was like a lion eyeing a weak little zebra that it was about to pounce on.

Wei Tao must have been a fool because he reached out to hold Alix's hand.

Alix instinctually drew her fist back and punched him so suddenly, out of the blue. She didn't mean to punch him so hard, not hard enough to break his jaw anyway but that's what happened.

Wei Tao howled, cradling the bottom half of his face as unwelcome tears poured from his face.

"Are you okay?" Alix asked him.

She had forgotten that she was not a weak little woman anymore and she had a really powerful fist.

"Why do you care? He just tried to grope you." Her system reminded her.

She backed away from him and just as she stepping back, one of the bodyguards grabbed Wei Tao by the arm and locked it behind his back.

Alix remembered Xiaobo and she looked down.

"Don't look." she covered his eyes.

"I think it is a tad bit too late for that." Caishen told her.

She had punched him without covering Xiaobo's eyes. What the bodyguard was doing was minor. Caishen was still happy though. She had taken out her scumbag ex boyfriend all by herself.

"Let's go home." he told her.

She looked back at Wei Tao and then at Caishen.

"Do you want to go with him?" he asked coldly.

"No," she blurted out quickly.

She quickened her steps, pulling Xiaobo along with her and they sat in the car before he did.

"Aunt, who is that mister?"

He looked excited, not scared like she assumed.

"Nobody." she answered.

"Why did you punch him?" he asked curiously.

"But he said he was your friend." he added

His curious eyes looked at her for an explanation that made sense.

Alix opened her her bag, got a candy out, opened it and put in in Xiaobo's mouth. That ought to stop him from asking questions for a while.

She opened a chocolate and her eyes stayed glued to Caishen. He was talking to the bodyguards and pointing at Wei Tao.

"If you want to hear what he is saying, you can use five points to enhance your hearing for a while." the system told her.

"Do it." she answered.

Suddenly, everything was much more audible than before. What the system did not mention of course was that she would be able to over hear noise from almost everyone and everything within her vicinity.

She had to concentrate on Caishen's voice specifically.

"Make sure that this does not make it to the press. Acquire all the footage from every camera within the area and make sure that there are no backups.

He will probably need surgery for his jaw, tell him that we will cover his bill and pay him the usual fee to keep his mouth shut, Zhang An's package.

If he tries to create trouble remind him that he just tried to grope my wife in public and I can sue him for sexual assault."

"Yes sir." the bodyguard answered.

Caishen wheeled himself to the car and Alix looked away from the window but it was not before she saw her family leaving the restaurant.

"Father, I will meet director Ban tomorrow and explain the whole thing to him. I am sure that he will choose my song over whatever amateur garbage song Alix sold to him."

She did not mean to listen to their conversation but her ears caught Lin Billi saying this.

Her head turned and she looked at the three of them. Even now they were plotting against her.

As always she had created an opportunity for herself and here came Billi using connections to snatch it from her.

"Hmph, not this time round."

"Aunt," Xiaobo called her.

"Mmm." she answered and looked at him.

"I am sleepy." he said.

His eyes looked heavy and he was yawning.

"Sleep here." She tapped her laps.

Xiaobo did as she said and he closed his eyes.

Alix got her phone out and called director Ban while Caishen entered the car and they set off. She spoke slowly so that she would not wake Xiaobo up unnecessarily.

"Director Ban, the song is ready. So Mi and I have done wonders, it's really amazing. We can go into final production as quickly as tomorrow.

Can you meet me at producer Mao's studio and give it your personal stamp of approval?"

They made arrangements and she hung up.

"So, are you still angry with me for bringing you here without a forewarning?" he asked her the moment she hung up.

She told the truth, "Yes."

"Why?" he asked.

"I just met four people that I dislike within the same time frame and my dinner was ruined. At least I know that they are plotting against me now.

Lin Billi is planning to meet director Ban and have him consider her song for his movie." She scoffed and sneered simultaneously.

"See, something good came out of us coming. If we had not, you would be taken by surprise when it happened." he said self righteously and he smiled.

"Eh!" she answered.

She had a great song, a contract and the money was already in her account. Whatever they were planning it was useless.

She looked at Caishen and asked, "Hubby, do you want to listen to my song and tell me what you think?"

"Aren't you the expert?" he responded.

"A second opinion will not hurt." she answered.

"Alright."

She had a rough recording on her phone, and she connected it to the cars bluetooth.

Their journey home was accompanied with smooth music which brought out smiles on both of their faces. His smile told her that she was on the right track with her song.
