Chapter 122: Chapter 6: Void Dragon; Half-Elf (Tragedy)

"Master, the adventurer guild members have all been brought."

After speaking, Sofia quietly waited beneath the throne.

However, she couldn’t help but let her gaze wander to the massive black tumor behind the Thorn Stone Throne.

Due to it being daytime, the densely packed, pitch-black demon eyes on the black tumor were closed and retracted, appearing merely unsightly rather than overly disgusting.

"Hmm, I know."

The large shadow on the throne moved slowly, and three closed eyes opened simultaneously, two yellow and one black, with a majesty tinged with chilling evil and darkness.

The Black Giant Dragon stretched its dragon body, its towering form casting a vast shadow, in stark contrast with the slanting golden sunlight at the cave entrance.

As Udi prepared to leave, he lowered his dragon head to glance at Sofia, casually advising,

"Don’t touch those black tumors, or you’ll be covered in similar tumors and fall into becoming a creature of darkness and evil."

"Also, don’t let Antonio or the other servants touch them. I don’t want you adorable little ones turning into disgusting lumps of flesh."

"Yes." Sofia’s heart tightened, and she instantly abandoned her original curiosity.

Udi gave her a somewhat regretful glance.

He himself could thoroughly digest these black tumors after the Banquet began, but those Dragon Descendants who had obtained his Void Dragon Blood could not digest them, not even a trace. Instead, they could only be slowly assimilated by the power of the black tumors.

Why is that?

This could only mean one thing: the Origin of the Void could not be bestowed this way, and the power these Dragon Descendants seemed to have gained from his Void Power was actually just a combination of the Giant Dragon Vein effect and the scraps of the Void Origin.

"If I were to have offspring, would they inherit my Void Origin?" Udi occasionally pondered this question.

If they could, he, Udi, could entirely create a new and fearsome dragon species—a Void Dragon.

And he would be the progenitor of the Void Dragons.

It remains unknown whether a dragon that controls the power of the Void can compare to the legendary three great Legendary Dragons: the Rainbow Dragon, the Powerful Dragon, and the Time Dragon.

"Maybe someday when I’m bored, I can have a bunch of offspring to see the results," Udi mused to himself.

No longer speaking to the little maid, the Black Giant Dragon flapped its wings and left the Dragon Nest.

....

Mountain Stream Territory.

The relocation of the Dragon Nest Monsters to this place has been close to two years.

The once barren black soil, the lush mountain streams, have long become relics of the past.

Rows of coarse and rustic wooden houses, like those giant dwellings, stand on the high ground alongside the stream, countless all at a glance.

Behind these uniformly styled rugged wooden houses, a tall tower built with white stone stands firm and unmoving.

Beneath the tower, almost no figure walks by.

This is a minimalist Mage Tower. It lacks an Elemental Pool, boasts no impressively inscribed defensive or attack magic, nor any powerful Mage to oversee it. It merely has lower-tier magics like ’Guardian Spiritual Light’ affixed to its exterior, along with a few Intermediate Dragon Vein Mages and a significant number of Low-level Dragon Vein Mages cultivating inside. 𝕗𝗿𝕖𝐞𝐰𝗲𝕓𝐧𝕠𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝐨𝚖

The startup period is always difficult, especially for professions like Casters that have high entry barriers and entail long-delayed benefits.

However, it also shows that the several Monster Tribe leaders from the Dragon Nest have a far-reaching vision for the future. Caster training isn’t necessary, but diversified training is the key to truly going further and becoming stronger.

Currently, the Dragon Nest’s Monster Race consists of four tribes, ordered by their founding: Black Blood Tribe (Kobold), Green Forest Tribe (goblin), Bone Shattering Tribe (Giant Demon), and Wilderness Tribe (Gray-haired Jackal Wolfman).

Besides these notable tribes, there are also a few smaller scattered monster groups, all of which have been conquered and subdued by the Dragon Nest Monster Race on their journey. These include bear goblins, Goatman, and Celestial Dog People.

Bear goblins are close relatives of goblins. They lack the goblins’ clever minds, but their physical prowess is significantly greater. One on one, they can spar with Gray-haired Jackal Wolfman, though they are more likely to lose.

Goatmen appear like a hybrid between goats and humans. Their fur covers their chests and cloven hooves, while a goat’s head tops their neck, with males often sporting long, sharp goat horns, and females possessing very short horns. Much like their devil-like physiques, Goatmen zealously embrace savagery and violence, favoring the double-bladed giant axe. Adults are even more powerful than Gray-haired Jackal Wolfman.

Lastly, there are the Celestial Dog People. This monster species evolved from some otherworldly avian race but no longer possess wings or the ability to fly. Dark fluffy fur covers their heads and torsos, though their slender bird-like limbs remain bare. Celestial Dog People rarely stand over 1.5 meters tall and have slender and weak physiques, yet they are quite dangerous.

Ruffians, thieves, spies, assassins, malicious, cowardly—these are all descriptors that could apply to Celestial Dog People, who can be said to be born as the thief profession.

However, the numbers of the three monster races are all quite low, with the least numerous being the Celestial Dog People at just over a hundred members, and the most numerous being the bear goblins with a little over five hundred members. Due to their small numbers, lack of powerful group leaders, and having joined much later, they hold lower status within the Dragon Nest Monster Race.
