Chapter 123: Chapter 6: Void Dragon; Half-Elf (Tragedy) 2

Oh, and there’s also a monster tribe, but its origin wasn’t through conquest and surrender; it was sent as a gift—the Harpies.

The Harpies, numbering only thirty-six, are undoubtedly the smallest monster tribe. Yet their strength and status surpass those of the bear goblins, the goatmen, and the celestial dog people.

The reason for this is that the Harpies serve the Black Dragon.

Bestowed with Dragon Blood and having served closely for over a year, in addition to being part of the Maid Corps, they have no worries about food resources. Originally with individual strengths at Tier One High and Level 2, all the Harpies have now reached Level 5, with some particularly talented ones not far from Level 6.

The advantage of flight, the strong base of their monster bodies, battle consciousness for survival in the wild, combined with low shame (meaning they can do anything without boundaries for their Black Dragon Master), provide a series of advantages, making the newly arrived Harpies’ Maidens seem to have the potential to become the Dragon Nest’s guards. Their status is already beginning to surpass that of the human Dragon-blooded Maids.

Who could resist Harpies who can do any submissive and shameful deed for you, not feeling embarrassed but rather proud of it, with good figures, beautiful and charming appearances, skillful performances (like splitting in mid-air?), and strong powers?

And the problem is it’s not just one, but a whole group.

Regarding this, a certain Black Dragon is quite enjoying it, while a certain Dragon-blooded Maid Chief is starting to feel conflicted. Which is more important, self-respect and shame, or the master’s affection? Ideas clash and wrestle fiercely.

.....

When the Wolf Adventurer’s Guild was tightly bound by enchanted iron chains and brought here, seeing various monster tribes living in harmony, their feelings were complicated and collapsing.

Who could tell them how they ended up provoking such a ’monster’ power!

As the tribe monsters passed by them, each one glancing with curiosity, scrutiny... friendliness?

The guild leader blinked his eyes. Was he mistaken? Just now, when that tall and sturdy Kobold looked at him and the other teammates, the gaze seemed friendly.

[At first sight, I wanted you to be my friend.]

Yes, that gaze probably meant something like that. And it’s not just this Kobold; amongst the coming and going tribe monsters, many cast friendly looks upon them.

"There’s always this feeling like we’re friends.... uh, if there’s no enchanted iron chains wrapping us like dumplings...." Ossai, the thief with beautiful short purple hair, joked.

The teammates nodded in agreement.

At this moment, they felt very peculiar. From the task’s completion at the start, possibly gaining a valuable large-sized spatial bag treasure, to being surrounded by a group of terrifying monsters and demons, despairingly surrendering, and finally being escorted deep into the Dark Forest for thousands of kilometers amidst beautiful scenery but where strong monsters gather, receiving various glances from passing monsters....

If it weren’t for the Wolf Adventurer’s Guild members having experienced life and death and suffered much, just this series of events would have likely left anyone bewildered.

While the members of the Wolf Adventurer’s Guild were still immersed in various doubts, confusion, and suspicious conspiracy theories, the tribe monsters around them began to stir and suddenly knelt down in large numbers.

The adventurers followed the direction of the tribe monsters’ kneeling and lifted their heads to look.

Between two towering peaks, a Black Dragon was gliding towards them.... No, it should be called a Black Giant Dragon. Though these adventurers had never seen the Black Dragon in person, they all knew about it. Emaciated, forward-curved gray dragon horns, shriveled gray-black dragon scales tight against the dragon’s skull, a rough and large frame of dragon bones, tiny wings mostly for decoration, and protruding surface bone spurs—more ugly and terrifying than majestic.

But this black giant dragon soaring across the sky, with muscular build more exaggerated than legendary descriptions of Red Dragons, opening enormous and exaggerated dragon wings, a head of a giant dragon growing four distinguished dragon horns with majestic and fierce beauty. Every aspect embodied the combination of power and beauty.

And those around, kneeling tribe monsters, their eyes filled with the fervor, loyalty, and fascination toward the Black Giant Dragon, enchanted by such a strong and perfect creature.

With a loud boom, dirt flew up as the Black Giant Dragon controlled its strength and slowly landed on the ground.

The shadow cast by the unfurled muscular dragon wings covered all members of the Wolf Adventurer’s Guild.

The fearsome dragon aura spilled over at a nearly constant speed and power, impacting those around it—if fully released and exploded, it would cause mental and physical harm to the overly weak beings within.

The appearance must be impressive, but Udi was also merciful, not wanting his entrance to result in injuries and mental fatigue among his followers.

"Alright, you can all go back now," Udi casually said to the kneeling tribe monsters on the ground.

The tribe monsters respectfully stood up and quickly left the area.

Only the tightly bound, immobile members of the Wolf Adventurer’s Guild remained on site.

Udi’s indifferent gaze swept over them, Magic-like Skill-Identification Skill, activated.

A stream of dense identification information reached Udi.

"There’s even an Advanced Warrior Professional here."

Udi focused his gaze on the bearded middle-aged human man leading the group, slightly surprised.

No wonder the Higlind family requested support from the Dragon Nest monster tribes. With Roy and several family elders being stalled and unable to arrive, the Higlind family indeed couldn’t handle this adventurer group possessing high-level combat power and four Level 8-9 Professionals.
