This Giant Dragon is So Powerful!-Chapter 59 - 58: The Furious Black Dragon Maiden and the Home Invasion
Rotting Swamp, Underwater Dragon Nest.
In the core of the deepest part of the Dragon Nest, a black giant beast, nineteen meters long, curled up on the treasure, sleeping soundly.
The beast had a sinister dragon head with skull-like scales, its entire body covered in matte black scales, exuding a calm and silent aura.
Having slept for an unknown amount of time, the Black Dragon slowly opened its dark yellow eyes.
"Udi, that despicable kobold servant dares to disturb my sleep?" A look of displeasure flashed in Leanna’s eyes.
However, thinking it might be something important, Leanna yawned and nonchalantly ’connected’ to the mental communication request.
She waited one second, two seconds... there was no reply from the other end of the spiritual connection.
The terrifying dragon wrath suddenly erupted from Leanna’s dragon body, spreading outwards, startling the two little dragons, Brook and Heloise, at the other end of the Dragon Nest awake, looking fearfully towards the depths of the nest.
Completely baffled as to why their lazy mother had suddenly become enraged.
The dreadful dragon wrath spread wildly from the Dragon Nest, covering a large area of the Rotting Swamp, alarming countless creatures living within it.
The weaker ones simply flipped over, terrified to death or unconscious, while the stronger beasts and demons trembled uncontrollably, not daring to move.
After an outburst of dragon wrath, Leanna emerged from the depths of the Dragon Nest, bursting out of the swamp, her massive dragon shadow soaring skyward, heading swiftly towards the Black Teeth Tribe.
While flying, Leanna muttered through gritted teeth, "Despicable servant, how dare you mock me!"
Though furious, Leanna was not foolish. She suspected that the lowly kobold mage servant, Usman, might have encountered danger, which prompted her to leave the Dragon Nest immediately and rush towards the Black Teeth Tribe. However, regardless of the reason, Leanna despised this behavior from her servant.
For dragons, even though the servant contract allows two-way communication, they generally dislike being disturbed by servant followers, preferring to only deliver unilateral ’mental messages’ to their servants.
This is because dragons spend most of their time dreaming in slumber, and such spiritual communication would abruptly wake them up, not gently, but rather like a message forcibly intruding into their mind.
Above the Black Teeth Tribe, the massive form of the Black Dragon descended.
Leanna looked down from the sky, observing the devastation as if a herd of beasts had rampaged through the tribe, her gaze landing on the numerous kobold corpses, turning cold.
Sniffing the air, she detected nothing special beyond the stench of kobold bodies... Wait, the Black Dragon’s powerful sense of smell soon caught a faint lingering scent in the air.
It was the scent of a not-so-weak beast... somewhat akin to a sub-dragon, but without dragon bloodline.
"Is it that group of beasts?" Leanna recalled the corresponding creatures from her vast knowledge of the Dragon’s Legacy.
A group of strong beasts with the title of sub-dragon, yet devoid of any true dragon bloodline, considered lowly and unworthy by nearly all dragons.
Of course, if taken as servant followers, many dragons would be willing to accept them.
"The intensity of this scent... is masked by a caster using magic," Leanna sneered dismissively.
Did they really think such a method would stop her from finding them?
Although Leanna did not particularly care about the lives of her followers, it didn’t mean others could kill them at will.
Moreover, so many followers had died, and a core Dragon Descendant with a servant contract was taken, which would certainly affect the quality of her future meals.
This alone incensed Leanna the most.
"No matter what existence it is, provoking me, the Queen of Darkness, courts death!"
With a Dragon’s Roar, she roughly established a spiritual connection with two other contracted followers, ordering them to gather their monster army as quickly as possible.
After doing this, Leanna began to carefully sense the extremely faint scents in the air.
Soon, she locked onto two directions.
Flapping her dragon wings, Leanna chose to head southwest first.
A few minutes later, finding no signs of a large movement southwest, she flew angrily towards the other direction.
Evidently, although Leanna scoffed at the magic masking scents, it successfully tricked her this time.
"Damn those bastards! Damn! Damn! Damn!" Leanna’s inner fury accumulated fiercely, awaiting the moment to unleash it explosively upon finding her foes.
The Wild Dwarves were fleeing under cover, while Leanna led her monster army furiously searching for traces of the enemy, and Udi’s situation—
Before a giant cave, a small creek meandered out, with fireflies dancing above it, weaving through grass and flowers.
In the moonlit night, the setting was so beautiful and serene.
If not for the pressing presence of monster warriors outside the cave.
Outside the cave, an army over a thousand strong, composed of kobolds, goblins, and giant demons, was methodically preparing to enter the cave.
"Move faster, and keep it quiet!"
Dozens of kobold officers moved through the army, barking orders at the monster warriors, especially those careless giant demons.
On this invasion mission, Udi had Shiji and his group dispatch all warriors, so even the forest giant demons following Mondo were naturally included.
These giant demons weren’t just forest ones, but included swamp, gray, and mud giant demons.
Giant demons, as a species, had numerous subtypes, with over ten of them being notably famous.
And without exception, almost all giant demon subtypes shared a large, careless personality, dimwitted in nature.
Nevertheless, despite many flaws, they also had numerous strengths. For instance, when their notably dimwitted brain gets blown open, it could still regenerate back.
However, no matter how diligently kobold officers tried to restrain these monster warriors, the movement of so many warriors was quite noticeable.
Before long, two Wild Dwarf Warriors guarding deep within the cave sensed something amiss.
Alerted, they crept towards the outside, eyes widening at the sight.
Their first thought and action was to run, to flee fast! 𝗳𝐫𝚎𝗲𝚠𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝘃𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺
Both Wild Dwarf Warriors, being quite strong at Level 4, reacted swiftly enough that ordinary monster warriors couldn’t stop them.
"The demon tribe is attacking, there is..."
One Wild Dwarf Warrior shouted frantically, but stopped halfway through.
His head fell off his neck while running, through a sideways glance he saw his comrade’s severed head.
"I’m... dead..."
With disbelief in his eyes, the Wild Dwarf Warrior slipped into eternal sleep.
However, the commotion here still alerted the Brown Forest Clan, with sounds of hurried footsteps and the unique loud voices of the dwarves filling the Dwarf Tribe.
