This Spiritual Energy is Lethal!-Chapter 101 - : The Assassin’s End
Chapter 101 -101: The Assassin’s End
But she only flew a short distance before she morphed back into human form and landed on the ground, all the while issuing heart-wrenching howls.
“Ooooooo~~~~~…” The woman, with a gag in her mouth, emitted muffled noises as she walked toward Chen Ke.
Although the woman had turned into black mist, she was still hit by a bullet, which left a bloody hole in her back. The bullet had pierced through her, exploding into a palm-sized wound on her right breast.
“Ooo…mmm…mmm~” It was indecipherable whether the woman’s voice was one of pain or pleasure.
She clutched a green dagger in her reverse grip and drew a bloody line below her collarbone.
“Ummmm~~~~~” The woman closed her eyes as if savoring the sensation; when she opened them again, her pupils had turned green.
...
The green dagger, stained with her blood, began to show regular cracks, making a snapping sound as it unexpectedly shattered into a chain-blade whip!
Chen Ke swallowed hard, not expecting the woman to have a second phase!
Chen Ke remained motionless in the shadows, but it seemed like the woman had already seen through his Dark Concealment; her dagger must have some kind of special effect…
Chen Ke continued to shoot at the woman, who dodged left and right as black mist, moving much faster than before.
When the distance between them was reduced to merely ten steps, the woman brandished her green chain-blade and lashed out at Chen Ke.
Gritting his teeth, Chen Ke dropped his gun and made a motion as if lifting a heavy object, golden light flashing in his hands as Faralis’ Unyielding Fury materialized!
The chain-blade wrapped around Chen Ke’s longsword, and with a smile, he threw the sword to the ground.
“Clang!”
The sword made a solid sound upon striking the ground, as if a steel rod had been slammed down. The woman attempted to pull her chain-blade back but found it too heavy to move.
Chen Ke turned his head to look at the sniper in the distance, now exposed under the gun’s muzzle.
A red light passed through Chen Ke’s vision—the assassin’s laser had locked onto his head. But in that instant, he created a wall right in front of himself!
Automatic standing! Crossbowman’s great shield!
“Ting” The sniper bullet struck the shield, which didn’t budge an inch.
First to deal with this impudent show-off, Chen Ke turned back to the woman. She turned into black mist before his eyes, along with the green chain-blade, then reappeared elsewhere.
Chen Ke grabbed the sword from the ground, struggling to wield it in his grasp.
Indeed, swinging this sword was too much of a strain… Chen Ke could barely lift it using all his strength, and in this state, it was impossible to fight effortlessly.
He leaned against the shield, sword pointed at the woman, trying to recall the stance of Meyer Swordsmanship from his practice sessions with Diana.
This sword was meant for exactly this purpose—for killing, whether it be men or monsters. The only issue was its weight…
The woman seemed to notice Chen Ke’s struggle; she flicked her green chain-blade and once again turned into black mist, charging at him.
The black mist stopped a few steps away from Chen Ke, then abruptly returned to human form, and the woman raised her hand, sending a green whip shadow hurtling toward Chen Ke.
Seeing an opening, Chen Ke dodged with a quick step, then swung his sword at the woman.
But his action was heavy and grossly distorted due to the sword’s weight, and the woman simply turned to black mist and darted past.
This wouldn’t do; he couldn’t threaten her at all…
Chen Ke saw her flaws clearly. Even though she could transform into mist, she had to become human again to strike.
And Chen Ke also noticed that every time the woman morphed from mist to human, her body materialized first, followed by her equipment reattaching to her…
In other words, whether changing from human to mist or mist to human, there was a gap in reincarnating the Holy Relics…
Something else occurred to him; when his sword had previously pinned the woman’s chain-blade, she had retrieved her Holy Relic by turning into mist…
An idea suddenly struck Chen Ke.
The woman once again transformed into black mist and attacked, but this time, Chen Ke’s hands were empty.
However, he posed in the high rooftop position of Meyer Swordsmanship, with his hands in a sword grip, raised high above his head.
While charging, the woman changed direction once, circling Chen Ke’s right side in a curve of black mist, then she morphed back into human form.
This time, the woman didn’t swing her whip blade but instead reverted it back into a short sword, thrusting fiercely toward Chen Ke’s waist and abdomen.
Chen Ke’s muscles tensed up, and he quickly stepped back. With an empty hand, he swung downward, aiming for the woman’s left wrist that held the short sword!
In the instant his arms came down, Chen Ke summoned Faralis’s Unyielding Fury again. Accompanying the half-completed slashing motion, the descent barely required Chen Ke to bear the weight of the sword!
“Swish!”
“Ah!!!!”
The longsword sliced off the woman’s left wrist in an instant. The green short sword fell to the ground, bounced a few times, and reverted back to the blue diamond of the Holy Relics, along with the woman’s bracelet of Holy Relics!
The woman’s attire dissipated as well, leaving her once again completely nude.
Chen Ke pinched the woman’s right shoulder with his left hand, and with a sword-wielding gesture in his right, he thrust violently toward the woman’s abdomen. Mid-action, Faralis’s Unyielding Fury suddenly appeared, and the sword tip pierced into the woman’s navel and out her back, impaling her completely!
“Ugh!!! Oh…ugh…”
Bent over, the woman vomited red-black blood.
Chen Ke held the sword hilt with both hands, gave it a shake, and planted the woman on the ground. Then he stood on her stomach and pulled the sword from her flesh, watching her convulse and vomit as she lay on the ground.
“My name…my name is…I…” The woman desperately grabbed at Chen Ke’s pant leg, uttering unclear words.
Then she fell completely still.
Chen Ke collected the Holy Relics, picking up the PPQ45 and the five Holy Relic diamonds the woman had dropped.
He still had one sniper to deal with.
Chen Ke crouched down and slipped into the shadows, advancing stealthily, and soon located the sniper.
He suddenly appeared, firing three shots at the sniper’s head, but the bullets hit nothing, flying into the night sky.
“Phantom?” Chen Ke looked at the afterimage of the sniper in front of him, the lifespan in the corner of his eye had stopped increasing.
The sniper had run away…
That woman might have been the leader of the assassins. Seeing Chen Ke kill her, the sniper must have felt outmatched and, leaving behind a phantom, he’d slipped away…
Chen Ke smirked in contempt.
It was not bad to let one go back and report to Pankia.
In this encounter, Chen Ke had killed three assassins and had seen at least four new skills.
Concentrating light for shooting.
The red eyes that physically transferred both oneself and the opponent.
The black mist that became physically immune and could briefly fly.
Leaving behind one’s own phantom…

These were all first-rate transcendent skills…
Compared to the Spiritual Energy burst in Chen Ke’s possession, they still seemed quite useful.
Wouldn’t there be an opportunity to grab their skills? Chen Ke slipped the gun back into its holster, patted the five Holy Relic diamonds in his hand, and returned to the woman’s corpse.
The woman’s eyes were half-open, with an expression as if she died unwilling, he crouched down, gently touched her eyes, and helped close them.
Judging by the woman’s looks, she was probably about the same age as Diana, but the two women had taken different paths.
“You chose this path, girl, so you should have anticipated this kind of end,” Chen Ke said indifferently.
Assassin, it sounds like a very cool identity, but in reality, it’s not something to be envied or admired.
Just like dogs bred by their masters for fighting, no matter how many people you’ve killed, getting killed by a fellow assassin is the only outcome.
“But I won’t allow myself to end up like that,” Chen Ke said resolutely.
Suddenly remembering something, he took out his phone and saw it was already 8:30 p.m.
He still had to meet with Hall at the nightclub…
Chen Ke hurried away, leaving behind only a corpse on this unknown rooftop.
