Three Treasures: Spoiled Wife Goes Wild-Chapter 1785: Madness
"How can you forgive him so easily? Does that mean all the suffering you’ve endured over these years can just be disregarded?"
When Charlotte Thompson first heard these words, her expression was surprised, but she immediately reacted.
Leon Battleson was talking to his mother.
Just as Charlotte had guessed, the next second Leon spoke softly:
"Mother, you really are so foolish. For a man, you even lost your life. How could you?"
Leon Battleson’s voice wasn’t loud, but in the quiet basement, every word he spoke was clearly audible to everyone else.
The reporter who came with Justin Battleson couldn’t help but glance at Oliver Battleson, noticing his somewhat inexplicable expression.
"But why? What exactly did I do wrong? Why do this to me..."
Leon ignored whatever reaction Charlotte might have, just muttering to himself in a low voice, his eyes full of confusion and helplessness.
Even though Leon wasn’t focusing on anyone now, he was still holding Charlotte hostage, so no one around dared to act rashly.
Especially Justin Battleson.
Leon’s words reached Charlotte’s ears, making her take a deep breath.
Leon was already not in his right mind, and since he mistook her for his mother, Charlotte thought it might be good to play along and calm him down.
However, before Charlotte could speak, Oliver Battleson, who had been sitting on the ground, struggled to his feet, enduring the pain from his wounds and barely managing to stand.
The chain in his hand made a dull sound as he moved.
"Leon Battleson."
He called out Leon’s name, and Charlotte clearly felt the hand pressing against her neck tremble slightly.
Leon slowly raised his head, casting his gaze on Oliver Battleson.
At this moment, Oliver stood with slumped shoulders, most of his body shrouded in shadows, his clothes stained with a mix of dirt and blood, making the original color indistinguishable.
He had always thought highly of himself, proud and arrogant, yet now he appeared exceptionally disheveled.
"Stop it. Don’t do these pointless things anymore. I’ve always been the one you want revenge on. I’m the one who made you this way. Whatever you want to do, I agree."
Saying this, Oliver attempted to move a bit closer to Leon, but Leon just glared coldly at him, pressing the knife deeper against Charlotte’s neck.
"You’ll agree to whatever I want?" Leon’s voice had a slight upward lilt at the end, and finally, he stared at Oliver’s face and let out a cold laugh.
"Oliver Battleson, do you really think you’re so selfless? You always shift responsibilities onto others."
Leon shook his head, a playful glint flashing in his eyes that were extremely similar to Oliver’s.
"But since you’re so principled, then I’ll grant you that. Alright, as long as you kill Justin Battleson, I’ll stop. How about it?"
"Leon Battleson," Oliver’s voice lowered a bit.
Oliver’s reaction made Leon lift his chin, breaking into a somewhat manic laugh.
"You could drive Mia White to her death back then, so what’s stopping you from killing her son?"
