Three Treasures: Spoiled Wife Goes Wild-Chapter 1800: The Child Is Gone
Soon, the light in the emergency room went out.
The doctor was taken aback when he saw the swarm of people in the corridor.
Annie Anne arrived with the children at this moment. Seeing the doctor exiting the emergency room, the children couldn’t wait to ask about Charlotte Thompson’s condition.
"The patient’s abdomen was impacted; the baby couldn’t be saved." The doctor removed his mask and sighed slowly.
"Moreover, the patient’s health wasn’t good initially. This miscarriage could cause long-term damage."
"What do you mean by that?" Felix Thompson questioned.
"The patient might not be able to conceive again," the doctor answered seriously.
"Nonsense! I brought Charlotte to your hospital to get her treated, and now you’re telling me she’s harmed?"
Jonathan Thompson, the most hot-tempered, rushed up to the doctor. His imposing figure startled the doctor considerably.
"Jonathan," James Thompson called out, pulling him back, then turned to look at Justin Battleson.
"Go check on Charlotte."
At this moment, Justin Battleson was fully focused on Charlotte. Even if James hadn’t said anything, Justin had already started heading toward the ward.
Charlotte lay unconscious on the hospital bed, her face extremely pale and fragile, as if a gust of wind could make her disappear.
Justin held Charlotte’s cold hand in his palm, his face full of regret and guilt.
After an unknown amount of time, he noticed Charlotte’s eyelashes quiver, making Justin’s heart tighten instantly. He unconsciously tightened his grip on Charlotte’s hand.
"Charlotte..."
Justin called softly, watching as Charlotte slowly regained consciousness.
She appeared somewhat confused but vaguely felt pain across her body, causing her slender brows to furrow.
"Justin... what happened to me?" Charlotte asked painfully, feeling so weak she couldn’t even lift her hand.
"It’s okay, Charlotte, you’re okay."
Justin kissed Charlotte’s fingertips, his voice deep and comforting, yet with a subtle tremor.
Just then, the door of the ward was pushed open, and to Charlotte’s surprise, Vincent walked in.
He looked serious, seemingly holding Charlotte’s medical report.
Once he saw Charlotte awake, he quickly approached the bed and said solemnly,
"Charlotte, you’ve been pregnant for almost two months—how did this happen?"
"Pregnant?"
Upon hearing those words, Charlotte widened her eyes in shock.
She had thought her discomfort these past days was due to something she ate, never considering this possibility.
However, Vincent’s next words made the joy that had just emerged in Charlotte’s heart vanish completely.
"Do you know that this miscarriage has caused significant harm to your body?"
Charlotte’s lips quivered, and her eyes became vacant.
"How could this... happen..."
She remembered the impact on her abdomen.
Today was supposed to be a very good day, so she chose to hold her wedding with Justin Battleson now.
But why does she have to hear such news now?
Unnoticed, tears had welled up in Charlotte’s eyes and trickled down as she turned her head.
"Justin, is our child gone?"
