Three Treasures: Spoiled Wife Goes Wild-Chapter 1808: Afraid of Vincent?
"What?" Charlotte Thompson responded to Olivia Thompson’s words.
"Just now I heard Daddy saying goodbye to Mommy," Olivia Thompson’s voice was soft as she recounted what she’d heard.
"So... Daddy and Mommy really won’t reconcile."
After all, Olivia Thompson was just a five-year-old child. Even though she’d always been raised by Charlotte, Olivia knew in her heart who her biological parents were.
And her only wish was, naturally, to have a happy and perfect family.
But this small wish was an extravagant hope for Olivia.
She even overheard such cruel words this time.
And she was powerless.
"Mommy, I’m so sad. Did Annie do something wrong? Clearly, Daddy and Mommy love each other, so why can’t they be together? Is it because of Annie?"
A child’s mind is delicate; sometimes their view of things is the clearest.
Moreover, between Oliver Hudson and Annie Anne, it was a case of being confused inside the situation and clear from outside of it.
Charlotte was fully aware of the feelings that existed between Annie Anne and Oliver Hudson, especially since their daughter Olivia knew as well.
However, when Charlotte first heard Olivia’s words, she was also very surprised.
She never expected that Oliver Hudson would ultimately make such a choice.
"Annie, how could it be because of you? Whether it’s your Mommy Annie or your Daddy, they both love you."
Gently stroking Olivia’s hair, Charlotte’s voice was tender as she comforted her, but there was an unmistakable sadness in it.
Annie Anne was her best friend.
She certainly didn’t want to see Annie Anne disheartened.
But upon careful reflection, it seemed that Annie Anne had already become a person even Charlotte found unfamiliar.
What exactly was the reason for all of this?
"Then why can’t they be together? Annie loves Mommy, Annie loves Daddy, and Annie doesn’t want them to separate."
As she spoke, Olivia’s eyes filled with tears once more, making them clear.
Charlotte opened her mouth but didn’t know how to answer Olivia’s question.
Olivia noticed Charlotte’s silence and clutched tightly to Charlotte’s clothes, pressing her cheek into Charlotte’s embrace.
Charlotte only felt like her heart was being gripped tightly by a large hand.
In that moment, Oliver Hudson, and even Annie Anne, filled Charlotte’s heart with a bit of disgust.
Why did they have to let timid and introverted Olivia experience such cruel things?
But Olivia turned out to be much stronger than Charlotte had imagined. Olivia reached out to rub her cheeks, and although her voice was still hoarse, when she looked up at Charlotte, her eyes were resolute.
"No, I don’t want Daddy and Mommy to separate."
Upon hearing this, Charlotte lifted her gaze.
"I don’t want Daddy to leave. I want to tell Daddy that Mommy is very sad," Olivia said, clenching her fists tightly.
However, as soon as Olivia finished her sentence, Vincent pushed the door open and walked in.
Vincent’s arrival was a bit sudden. Although Charlotte didn’t expect it, she wasn’t particularly surprised, but she noticeably felt Olivia, nestled in her arms, shiver violently.
Her gaze instantly shifted away when it landed on Vincent’s face.
Was Annie afraid of Vincent?
The thought flashed through Charlotte’s mind, and when Vincent saw Olivia in Charlotte’s arms, a glimmer of emotion passed through his eyes.
"Is there any discomfort anywhere in your body?"
