Timeless Hunter: Blood Of Old-Chapter 46: Savage Blood Warrior.
Akaris waited until the blood spawn were 2 metres around him then he used mana wave.
A shockwave of blue mana spread out and hit the blood spawn like a speeding truck sending them flying a dozen metres away.
They exploded like blood bombs and flowed back into the blood sea. The shockwave continued and spread out 5 metres all around him.
Using the skill took only about 20 mana points, Akaris had 1500 mana points plus his child of mana title increased his mana regeneration speed.
All in all he was quite satisfied with the skill, now it was time to test what happens if he used more mana.
He poured 50 mana points, the skill took longer to activate but the range increased by double.
The shockwave spread out in a radius of 10 metres destroying tens of blood spawn. However he realised its power did not increase.
Only the range increased, however that did not fit the description of the skill as it clearly stated the power of the skill depended on how much mana was used.
He tried it again with 50 mana points but this time he tried to make it so the range did not increase.
Fortunately that was an option, the mana wave spread out in a radius of five metres and went no further.
However the mana was more solid and the speed of its expansion was much faster, the blood spawns hit by it exploded immediately upon contact.
He grinned them stopped using the skill, he didn’t want to waste his mana Incase something more powerful showed up.
He drew light bringer and started killing the blood spawn, he figured he might as well use this as training.
Unfortunately on the first night, even though he exhausted his body to the extreme he did not gain extra stats.
He had a feeling if he wanted to gain more stats, he would need to push his body even more.
Unfortunately the blood spawn didn’t seem to be capable of doing that. Almost an hour passed with him harvesting the blood spawn like a farmer in a field of wheat.
His sword drew silver streaks through the air, each swing taking out multiple blood spawn yet his body still felt no strain.
Four more hours passed, it had been five hours since the rise of the blood moon and the blood spawn just kept coming.
He noticed this time they came earlier than the first night, as soon as the blood moon rose they came out.
On the first night, they only rose when the blood moon reached its peak. He was starting to get bored.
Even with the blood spawns large numbers, they were slow and sluggish, they couldn’t pose a threat to his current self.
Even though his stats hadn’t grown since the previous day, his overall strength has grown significantly.
Being here sharpened him like a metal on a chisel. His control over his body, his mastery of his sword made him a much more dangerous fighter.
Not to mention his hawk eyes which had evolved giving him an extra ability and even higher perception. 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶
His body continued dancing and flowing through the ranks of the blood spawn then a change occurred.
The blood spawn stopped and retreated in the same direction. He wondered what was happening then he saw a tiny blood spawn.
It was less than 30 centimetres tall, yet this tiny thing made him feel a tremendous amount of pressure.
His instincts told him it was extremely dangerous, without a second thought he pulled out his bow and shot a mana arrow at it.
The arrow pierced through it and its body dissolved into a blood pool, yet he didn’t react because his instincts told him the danger was not gone.
Then the other blood spawn jumped at the blood pool forming a huge pile of blood spawn.
More and more kept jumping on top of one another. Akaris drew his body and waited, his mana gathered Infront of him.
Seconds ticked then the blood spawn pile twisted and bubbled and merged at a rapid speed.
Before Akaris could react a gigantic blood spawn appeared Infront of him, it stood at 6 metres tall.
It had a single head but 7 muscular arms and two legs as thick as trees. Blood red pierced glowed on its head like lamps.
It roared, its roar spread out like a visible shockwave, the power emanating from it made his heart beat like a drum and he used inspect on it.
Savage Blood Warrior ( rare)
That was all he saw but he understood, blood spawn didn’t have levels since their power depended on the blood sea.
But he had at least expected to see its stats, that might give him an idea of how powerful it was.
His instincts suddenly kicked in right when his exploding mana arrow formed, the savage blood warrior moved.
It kicked off the ground leaving cracks behind, its body turned into a red streak and pounced on him.
He released the arrow and hit it on the chest, the arrow exploded sending an explosion of mana in every direction.
The savage blood warrior was pushed back and almost fell off the island but managed to bring itself to a stop.
A gaping hole apparently on its chest making Akaris grinned but before he could celebrate.
It reached out and touched the blood spawns around it, Infront of his eyes it absorbed those blood spawn and healed itself.
" Shit." He looked around and saw more blood spawn climbing into the island but not a single one attacked him.
They surrounded the savage blood warrior like loyals slaves. ’ This is going to be a long fight.’
He drew his body and shot a mana arrow, it pierced through the savage blood warrior but it completely ignored the wound and lunged at him.
Akaris ran to maintain the distance, he was going to wear it down with his arrows if he had to.
Plus he still had a blood feaster echo which eats blood spawn, he hoped it still maintained that trait.
Because from the look of things, defeating this thing with so many blood spawn around it would be impossible.
But maintaining an echo drains too much mana every second. He wanted to use it when it would do the most damage.
