Transmigrated as a Ghost-Chapter 1141 Lyra’s Supreme Skill (2)
Lyra felt an intense surge of power within herself once she activated her Awaken ability for the third time.
Normally this racial power could only be used once and was meant to unleash the full potential of an evolved beast person.
To do what Lyra was currently attempting broke this rule. By using her Supreme Skill, she was not awakening anything that was already inside of herself but forcefully creating new powers that should not have existed.
Going from her first evolved Awakening to a second was far more violent and draining than Lyra was expecting.
The Four Elements Nine Tailed Fox form she had achieved was something that had originally existed within Mirrion’s system.
It was a form that Lyra could have evolved into had she met the requirements for it.
Yet, what she was becoming right now was different.
A race unto itself that had been created in this moment.
A dazzling light engulfed Lyra and the golden fur of her tails and ears became a darker shade of gold.
Near instantaneously, hundreds of bright glowing spots appeared on her tails, and if one were to look closely, they would find that these spots looked like stars and could be traced into constellations.
’Nine Tailed Star Diviner Fox.’
Lyra read off the name of her current race displayed by her Personal Status unique skill.
It was not exactly what she had been expecting, but she could already tell from merely glancing at her status a bit further down the status window that she had become far stronger.
Along with the stats boost, she had also gained a slew of new and powerful race abilities. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝓮𝒘𝙚𝙗𝒏𝙤𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝒐𝙢
One of which gave her access to and boosted light and nature magic.
The strongest of these abilities though, was one that gave her the power to peer into the future.
Originally, Lyra had planned on skipping past this Awakening and moving straight onto the next since it should be even more powerful.
However, the ability to look into what was going to occur even just a few minutes from now was a boon she could not pass up on.
’Perhaps I’ll already be strong enough to turn the tides. I can feel that I’m just barely holding myself together as is. Forcefully awakening like this is far too exhausting.’
As Lyra activated her Divination ability, her body started to shimmer and her eyes grew bright.
Several threads that had not been present before appeared in her vision, and when she followed them, she was able to see possible paths for the future.
The more likely the outcome, the thicker the thread and the easier it was for her to look into it.
Yet as she delved merely twenty minutes into the ten most likely futures, all that appeared before her were horrid realities.
In one, Quillon sacrificed himself so that she and Marcus could escape. This was sadly the most optimistic future she had seen.
Another had them all fighting to the bitter end and being destroyed. Except even this was only the second worst outcome that Lyra had seen.
In two of the ten possible futures she had peered into, they managed to defeat Gronex.
The less likely of the two saw her and Quillon dead at the end of the fight and Marcus left in a catatonic state after pushing himself too far and shattering his soul. A hollow victory if there ever was one
As for the other, it was the worst possible future that Lyra had seen. None of them died in the battle against Gronex, but what happened afterwards was a horror beyond anything she could have ever imagined.
’I have to do what I can to avoid that outcome no matter the cost. I can’t let Marcus push himself that far.’
To avoid the worst possible future she had seen, Lyra first reached out to Marcus. There was something he had been keeping hidden this entire time that would at the very least help them out in the present.
Normally, he would not reveal this trump card he was concealing until things got direr. But by then it would already be too late.
’Marcus, you need to go ahead and let Roxene out. I know that you want to keep her secret just in case Relia’s master betrays us but now is not the time to be worrying about that. We’re dealing with a crisis far more harrowing than we realize yet. Gronex is still only playing around with us right now. Once he get’s serious, we won’t be able to hold out for long.’ Lyra said telepathically.
For a moment Marcus stopped since he was surprised that Lyra knew he had brought along Roxene. Nearly taking a tail slap from Gronex head on.
She was currently hidden away in his companion’s storage and waiting for the right moment.
Of course, since the fight with Gronex had started, she had incessantly been asking to join the fight, but Marcus had told her to hold off. He did not want to reveal her existence here if he did not have to.
While they were not winning by any means, the battle was not completely out of their favor. The three of them had been holding out well considering the level difference.
Still, there had been a nagging feeling in the back of Marcus’ mind, wondering if this really was all an over level ninety dragon could do.
’Okay. I’m going to trust you Lyra. I’m not sure how you learned that I have Roxene with me, but I’ll save the explanation for later.’
Without a moment’s delay, Marcus released Roxene from his companion storage.
As soon as she came out, her size began to swell from activating her Paragon of the Divine Wolf Supreme skill.
She viciously bit down on Gronex’s neck while the Laval Dragon was surprised by the sudden appearance of a powerful mythic grade beast.
The addition of Roxene turned the battle more chaotic, and Lyra was satisfied with the results.
In none of the futures she had looked into had Roxene joined the battle at this stage. That meant that things must have already changed.
